Simply put... Put the Movie on, Sit Down, Shut up and hold on for an 111 minute, wide open throttle ride. When I first heard that Sonny was working on turning one of my favorite novels(Dead in 5 Heartbeats) into a movie, I was instantly excited as anyone would be. After seeing the movie I was highly impressed with what they accomplished without any big Hollywood names. If you want Action... this has it. If you want story... this has it. If you want motorcycles and 111 minutes of one hell of a great ride... purchase "Dead in 5 Heartbeats". Dead in 5 Heartbeats has taken the number 1 spot in my movie collection.

I enjoyed this movie. I grew up around the Local 81 and a few other MCs in town and this movie shows how these people live and die. I would say anyone who has good knowledge of any MC would agree that this is a good movie to watch. Keep in mind that there are very few real actors in this movie and that the producers used real MCs to work and act in this movie. This movie is not about acting it is about the lifestyle of the 1%.The quality of this DVD was excellent and I was very happy to purchase and watch this movie. I also ordered a shirt and everything was delivered in a couple of days. If anyone has read the book it is a little different but close to it. Sonny Barger did a great job on this movie.

I thought the movie was well told and gave a glimpse into a world most of us know nothing about. It was good to see the human side of some of the clubs and that they are just like other people. The ending left the crowd cheering. I went to the showing in Bridgeport and it was well attended and the crowd loved it. Great job by all! The theater was beautiful and very hospitable. The cameos were great throughout the movie. It was very well told and the quality was excellent. I was amazed how they did this on such a small budget. We even met some of the actors after the movie. I will continue to look for other movies by Santo films.

A friend of mine, whose song was chosen for the movie ranted and raved to me about it. I started to watch the day to day filming of the movie, way before it came to theater's. In each little preview, that part of the movie was explained on how or why they did something, or one of the main characters would be talking about their part in the movie. By the time all the little clips were seen, I was hooked. We had to drive down from Canada to go see the movie in Everett, Washington. As we found out later, the movie would not be shown in Canada due to very bad press. When in fact, there were never any problems with the so called "Bikers" in any city. We just lucked out when looking for the theater, we actually bumped into Jeff Black "Patch" and Jeff Santo "Director". The two of them were super friendly and kind enough to sign their autographs and chat for a minute. They were also kind enough to pose for pictures with anyone that asked, before and after the show. I am sorry to say that I was one of the many that looked down on "Bikers". This movie opened my eyes wide. If all families believed and acted like the bikers, we would be a far better society. The story line was actually very sweet, direct, and down right hilarious in parts. It showed what a true friend really is, and how people and families should live by the biker code. The music was super great with no real big name stars. Brian "Buck" Ellard, who's tear jerky "Goodbye Song" was chosen for the movie, was put in at a very pivotal part of the movie. The added expense of having to travel so far to see the movie, and paying for a Hotel was nothing, compared to the value of the experience. I cried, I laughed, I learned and I totally enjoyed. The movie was that great.

Based upon an obscure graphic novel, Jeff Santo directed and produced it into an intellectually zen-like mantra of a movie that makes one realize that being a leader doesn't come with any more privileges, but only with more responsibilities. Watching bikers living close to home and connecting with their family members at diner time has a universal appeal with the apparent exception that in a biker's world problems seemingly become tragic at a flick of a switch with complications piling up longer than a line of relatives at a lottery winners house. This movie's story line purges your emotions with a catharsis of all the truisms of a biker's lifestyle of engaging in a never ending action packed day filled with danger at every turn that culminates into the movie's edgy ending. "Dead in 5 Heartbeats" is the best of the biker genre and hopefully the beginning of a successful succession of great independent films with the added benefit of exposing the new talent of little known bands, including the upbeat repertoire of the Nick Nicholson sound.

Most people realize that anything dubbed "reality" is anything but. That was true until now. DI5H is an honest depiction of the men who live the club life. It's an intriguing story of how deep the loyalty and respect aspects of the brotherhood run. There is so much wisdom to gain simply by listening the words of the lead character, Patch. The scenes are so detailed that you get the "deja vu" familiarity thing going. This is no SOA, and when the movie ends, you're going to want to see, hear, and feel MORE! The DVD package is unlike any other. It'll be a cherished addition to any collection! L & R

For an Independent Movie, with a limited budget, Mr. Barger hit this one out of the Ball Park. An amazing job by Bikers playing actors! I'm very impressed with how the Biker Community pulled together to help make this movie. That alone shows the respect the Mr. Barger has earned over the years. And kudos's for finding unknown Garage Bands and giving them a chance to Showcase their talents! The 1950's "Raunchy" beat is perfect for the movie and impossible to get out of your head!! THANK YOU SONNY! When are you going to film the next one! ML&R from the Redwoods of No. Cali.. 707.... <3. I hope others will spread the word at all Bike Shows and Runs. This will truly become a Classic of Mr. Bargers Legacy.

Saw the movie at the Bridgeport Ct. premier . Having read the book I was excited to see how the movie would compare and I was not disappointed at all . There were parts from Sonny's first book as well that were brought to life and also flowed well with the original story . There is something for every one in this movie . This is a biker movie for bikers , by bikers and written by the original biker Sonny himself . Watch it and you may see some core values that this country is lacking like brother hood ,respect and not being afraid to be yourself . This movie was made on a small budget and opened to a premier of 14 cities and is getting more attention on the internet . Support you independent film makers. Buy a copy of this DVD you won't be disappointed .
