From opposite-land where truth has nothing to do with facts and the most prized degree is in narcissistic psychopathy, with minors in methods of coercive control and projection. Makes sense that the director and main actress have this sole "credit." This tripe is a love letter to those in thrall to Abomination, a snake issuing forth rivers of lies. An imbecile of low cunning, who would rather destroy an entire postal service than allow an election to happen. Lawd save us from the orange-t@rds.

I can't say I agreed with all of the filmmakers choices. Music, editing, cinematography were all hit and miss. But the script was focused, the acting was surprisingly good for a film with this kind of budget, and most importantly, the story gave me the creeps. I can't say I enjoy thinking about the topics covered by this film. In fact, I generally avoid these subjects as I find them discouraging. But for anyone who's never considered the conspiratorial nature of power, fame, and large sums of money, this is worth your time to watch. I am not surprised at the low score or sarcastic reviews. In a way, it proves the point the movie is trying to make. I applaud the filmmakers for making a movie they believe in, even though they knew it would get a low score. Not many people are willing to do that kind of thing.

While this is a low budget film with mediocre acting and music, it is a very good story about how the powerful take advantage of the weak. It does not have a miraculous, pollyanna ending, as the strong does overpower the weak; but it does suggest the spiritual consequences of giving in, and accepting dishonesty and corruption as the only pragmatic way of living on earth. The dialogue does suggest network connections between the media, the CIA and the social and wealthy elite, but there is no "conspiracy theory" as this is a work of fiction; moreover, in real life, there is ample evidence of authoritarian governments that do control both the media AND the intelligence services (e.g fascism and communism). In such situations, individuals really do have no chance to go up against such dark states.

I can't understand why all the bad reviews on this movie. Sounds like a personal thing to me. I see the movie very realistic. It is a little soft, but it's a good start exposing Hollywood and exactly what is going on. Now I'm waiting for Part 2. Come on people, we're ready. Let's hear the whole truth! 😉

I highly recommend watching this movie if you are open to the reality of the world we currently live in. The Dark State orchestrates how the entertainment (including media) world functions. This is a movie that wasn't produced with hundreds of thousands of dollars but it also wasn't poorly filmed and the purpose serves true.

You are left with mine and another titled unwatchable. The story itself was ok, but the bad acting and production, combined with a music score that made no sense, made this movie very bad. 2.8.

I was hoping for some camp value here because the comparisons to "The Room," plus the very notion of a kind of veiled QAnon-y nutjob conspiracy thriller, did sound pretty hilarious. But this is too endlessly talky in a pedestrian and repetitive way--no matter that what the characters are talking about (however vaguely) is ridiculous--to be much fun. To their credit, the actors hired are professionals. They try to get through this with as much dignity and naturalism as possible, even as they're stuck in the script's Grade Z approximation of Ayn Rand for the disinformation age. But the writing and direction are just hopeless. Who actually thought this material merited production? It's something your teacher (in a kind mood) might write "Good try! What imagination! B-" on, in a community college Creative Writing 101 course. It's the kind of terrible movie that sounds like it would surely be unintentional laugh riot, but is too much of an amateurish slog to actually sit through. So, only "So bad it's bad," not "good-bad." Too bad.

Best comedy movie of the year, Number #1 Oscar magnet. The actors will probably win all the awards this year. Such good acting. Highly recommend to watch this masterpiece of cinema. You will laugh and cry from laughing too much. Its such great comedy movie.

This story brings to light many of the important issues that we were concerned about before Covid. Now that vaccines are slowly gaining us some freedom, we should pick up where we left off. Honour the departed by doing some good! ;)
