This was a wonderful, heart wrenching movie, that truly showed the consequences that bullying can have on anyone.
If you don't think that emotional/mental bullying can be just as damaging as physical bullying, this is a MUST see movie. It shows the effects that name calling and vicious rumors can have on the mental state of a human being.
It also gives great advice on how to deal with bullying and it also shows the different ways parents and adults may react to bullying.
This movie should be part of the ALL school curriculum's, to teach kids and adults alike what bullying can truly do to a kid. A child doesn't need to be coming home with black eyes and bruises before you do something about it.
RIP to all those who have lost their lives to this epidemic.

Honestly this movie is great and the fact that people are actually saying that it's hilarious sickens and worries me. This movie follows Taylor as she deals with being bullied online and is eventually pushed to her breaking point. She posts a video online saying that she sees no need to live anymore and tries to attempt suicide. Sure the bullies are slightly animated but things happen exactly like this all the time. All it takes are a couple horrible comments and people easily fall into depression, I've seen it first hand. This movie shows just how bad cyberbullying is and how far it can push people. The acting is great and, contrary to what a lot of people are saying, it's very realistic, if not a little rushed. But all movies are. I actually think that this movie should be shown in schools to show just how bad words can hurt.

This movie is so terrible. This movie takes away all of the credibility of "cyberbullying" as a real issue. The amount of "emotion" (If you can call it that)and over-dramatization makes it so hilarious. They took a 5th grade look at bullying and completely exaggerated this issue.
The only realistic characters were the people the mother talked to. Those characters brought the only reality to the movie.
The only reason i suggest people to watch this movie, is to laugh at how damn ridiculous it is. If you feel like watching a hilariously terrible movie. PLEASE watch it and enjoy the worst movie of the year.
TL;DR
Hilariously Terrible

Cyberbully is so dumb, I can't put it into words. The production, direction, sound editing, cinematography and soundtrack were horrid. Even its message, the one thing you'd expect them to get right, was terrible. I read some reviews of people going "Oh the message is so amazing! Give these people an Oscar!" I even read someone saying that it shouldn't be entertaining, it should be informative. Really? I'm not saying a movie can't be informative, but it has to be entertaining. If there's nothing entertaining, I won't watch it. If I wanted to be informed about cuber bullying I would read an article about it.
Now that the elephant in the room is out of the way its time or the movie's problems. First, and I feel like it's pretty important, the sound editing was horrible. I felt like every time someone was talking, there was equally loud background noise or music. Oh the music! Every track was horrible. Sound editing wise, Every sound made my ears puke.
The acting was pretty terrible. Nothing really to add. The dialog was also bad. It made the characters very unreleasable. Every time they talked I just thought "SHUT UP!". I'll give an example. There is a scene in the classroom where the main character (I don't remember her name so I'll call her "Pants") is talking to another person who is being cyberbullied for being gay. Their classmates call him insults such as "fag". And Pants' reply is "Yeah, but you're actually gay, what they're saying about me isn't true." THAT is the person you're supposed to feel sympathy for, someone who can't feel sympathy for a fellow classmate who is also hurting. She is extremely bitchy and over privileged and so are her friends. There are other examples, but I have bigger fish to fry.
The message is also ridiculous. I'm not saying that a girl like her can't be bullied, but she is so stupid. Throughout the film, Pants had multiple opportunities to block the people who write crap about her or delete their comments. But she never did. And even stupidly enough, it turns out that she didn't know she could do this, because when another cyberbullying victim told her to block them she said she never even thought of that and she sounded extremely surprised. I nearly burst out laughing. How did she not know this? its common knowledge to even an internet rookie. It's as dumb as deleting system32.
And when she decided to kill herself, It was absolutely stupid. Long story short, she watches what might be the dumbest video ever made, that no real person would take seriously, she takes it seriously, makes a video saying she'll kill herself, uploads it, does nothing for a very long time, and finally decides to kill herself. And then we have what might be the best scene ever. We are given a long build up watching Pants' friend and her mother (Pants Senior?) rushing to her house. We expect Pants either dying, or already dead, but instead we see her desperately trying to open a bottle of pills and yells "I CAN'T GET THE CAP OFF!". I laugh intensely. She and her friend struggle and all the pills get scattered on the floor and Pants does nothing to try to pick up the pills. Instead she just cries and mumbles gibberish.
Anyways, those were the worst parts of this work of fart. There's plenty more but I figured I shouldn't bore you with details.

I did not think that this movie was going to be any good when I first saw previews, but I was curious. The story was moving and riveting. It shows the truth to bullying and that people will not stop no matter what. This shows how people will make you a victim and they do not realize what it is doing to people. Suicide hits home for me. My best friend has tried many times to kill herself and a kid in my school committed suicide not even a year ago. This movie gave me a look at what they could be going though and what I want to stop people from going though. People are that vicious and this movie did a great job of capturing that truth.

First of all, high school is NOTHING like that. Although I'm sure some people would like to believe high school is like that, it is not. Also, here is a tip for anyone who is being cyber bullied: delete the comments, messages, etc. And then block the person from your profile. Then, make your profile (any profile) private so no one but your friends can comment, post, etc. Then stop adding random strangers. You are setting yourself up. And then ignore anyone who says something in person and proof! The problem goes away. As for this movie, I'm not saying her mom was right to delete her account but she should not have added people she didn't know and people she hated. She should have deleted the comments, video, messages that were mean and blocked those people. She set herself up for being hurt. I'm not saying it was right of them to hurt her but she just kept letting it happen to herself instead of putting a stop to it. Plus, being called a "*", "*", "bitch", etc is not that bad. Most girls get called that as a joke so everyone should just calm down. As for trying to kill herself, that was taking it too far and too fast. So she got called a couple of names; some people are beaten and/or raped. Boo-freakin-whoo she got called a "*" when she hadn't had sex.
This movie did not represent high school or any form of life anywhere in the world.

First off- yes, I was bullied for 8 years as a child and teenager. I know what I'm talking about.
Anyone who takes the internet as seriously as the characters in this movie shouldn't be on it in the first place, a lot of people say.
This movie isn't about cyberbullying. This is a movie about drama- loving girls who go on the internet. They spread rumors and taunt each other, and for some reason, the main character takes it to seriously. So seriously that, after watching a video of some other girls dressed up as her, insulting and slandering her, it drives the main character to attempt suicide.
Now, this is not how reality works. You don't kill yourself over somebody posting videos or rumors on the internet. Sure, it might hurt, but no normal human would try to kill themselves over it.
Mind you, this movie tries to make "cyberbullying" look like the biggest problem since the Cuba crisis. This is not the problem. The internet is not to blame- bullying is to blame. However, how to solve this problem is a different debate.
This movie is belittling and offensive to anyone who were bullied because it shows this facet of bullying as the biggest problem of this generation. The movie ends with everyone standing up for the main character. Everyone smiles and walks away. Again, this isn't what reality is about. First off, if the bullying was remotely serious, the main character would be scarred. But this is not the case. So what was the problem in the first place? This is a horrible movie, and I urge you not to waste your time on hate on it like I did.

Did they consult any experts when making this movie? How do the characters go from talking about intercourse and sexual relationships openly, to having the lead break down in tears over being called smelly and a childish insults.
The bully's dad is a "lawyer" and it appears the script writers are mocking American's and the 1st Amendment. Not a huge deal, but considering this movie was seemingly produced entirely by Canadian's it's a little telling.
Overall the production quality is low, I'm kind of glad I missed this when it was originally aired on ABC Family, this is not a film I would be showing to a teen, it trivializes real cyber-bullying.

The guy from YourMovieSucksDotOrg said it best "this movie gets a dumb out of ten". Out of all the terrible TV movies out there, this is the funniest. Also, anyone who calls Cyberbully's haters "dumb morons who support bullying" are the real idiots in this situation. Anyway, the acting is terrible, the drama is impossible to take seriously, and the script is absolutely atrocious. The writers clearly ignored the first rule of screen writing: show, don't tell. The main character is so stupid that whenever she's sad, I laugh. There are moments in this movie so hilariously awful, that I won't dare ruin them here. I only recommend this "film" to anyone who likes melodramatic schlock.
