"CTRL" (2024) is an Indian thriller that explores the dangers of AI and social media. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, it stars Ananya Panday as Nella and Vihaan Samat as Joe. The story follows Nella, an influencer who accidentally live-streams her boyfriend Joe cheating on her. Devastated, she uses an AI app called "CTRL" to erase Joe from her life. However, the app begins to take over her data and control her life in unexpected and dangerous ways.
"CTRL" is worth watching if you enjoy movies about technology and its effects on human relationships. It delivers a timely message about the risks of relying too much on AI and social media. Ananya Panday gives a strong performance, though some viewers felt the story could have been more engaging.
The movie is a reminder to stay cautious online. Social media is a powerful tool, but it’s easy to lose control. Share responsibly, protect your privacy, and don’t let digital platforms take over your life.

From the start to the end it have a very gripping story. It kept me hooked to the very end the suspense and drama. This movie have a eerie and dark plot. It shows how tech companies not just have access to you data but life and if they want to they will not only sell your data but can write down your kundali from start to end.
This also goes to show that we as a society should keep these things in check and Govt need to establish some good law and regulations around Cyber Security.
Ananya Pandey & Vihaan Samat performance is remarkably good, especially Ananya. Supporting actors felt dull and that maybe cause they have less scene time.
I have watched some other tech/internet centric movies from Bollywood which are just bizarre, stupid and revolve around love life and melodrama.
I will say that it should be an 1:15min long film cause their are some still frames and it was clear they stretched the run time.

Never expect anything and if you are mobile social media fan, know and understand,,,,, See a possible scenario beautifully crafted very well.
Acting +++,
Ananya Pandey Chenky Pandey's daughter.......
Performance will force you to say
*Mama,,,, Mia*, There are key dialogues only,,,, rest is AI computer fundas exploited to the fullest stretch
though the connectivity is not Lost at all....
She represented to days girl and set a land mark...
Photography and difference between AI character real, virtual section of the script handled very well. Disolve effact of a picture raises the performance bar very ^^High^^^^.... ^^^
When it deals with privacy issues, nostalgia, intelligence, How to days girl Live, behave a wel crafted,,, the more you know comp. The more will be yr gain. Miss AP has shown most difficult decisions, frustration

An eye opener thriller about digital world! Story revolves around a girl named Nella who comes in grab of an AI powered digital assistant which takes full control of her personal life. It is centred around the repercussions of internet, AI, AI powered deep fake voice, deep fake images etc. It is definitely a unique movie that alerts if we are prepared for the AI tech n the speed with which it is evolving in our lives. It's less of an entertainer but more of an educative movie. However, it's superficial n transactional movie while it could have been more intense n exemplary though it's no doubt new kind of a movie. Ananya Pandey has definitely done a decent job. Available in Netflix. My ratings 6/10!

Okay start with a catchy hook but a disappointing ending - expected more however, Vihaan Samaat and Ananya Panday has done really well in their characters regardless of the movie script.
I do recommend watching other digital world films if you're looking for something along this genre - Nerve (2016, stars Emma Roberts), Social Network (2010, Jesse Eisenberg) - this one's, a little more drama, and The social Dilemma (2020, docu)
Unfortunately, these are all American - I'm not sure of good references from Bollywood...yet but having watched the above movies from me - made me have a higher expectation on CTRL so if anyone is reading this I would watch something else :/

Different plot and different POV. I guess this is the first time that a Hindi movie is shown majorly through the computer/mobile screen. That's not it, the script is tight and it keeps you hooked the whole time. Ananya nailed the role with buttery ease. She is tailor made for these kinds of role. It feels like she is just playing herself. Vihaan Samat is also very good. He had less scenes but his last scene was very good. The movie shows the dangers of online world. One needs to be extra cautious while in the digital world. The end was disappointing though. I was expecting a positive ending but!!
