Make no mistake, this is definitely a movie that requires you to think. If you're looking for a movie you can turn your brain off for and understand, this is not it. That being said, it's an extremely cool concept, and was extremely well done for the budget.

Anyone can see that this film was incredible for being made on an extremely small budget and the talent that inspired the script and the acting was actually much better than I expected. Kudos to the whole production team, I am usually not a horror sci-fi person, but it kept me guessing the whole time. You must see it! Don't let the haters and the BOTS that obviously set the 1s and 2 star reviews (I mean, seriously, tons of 1 star reviews given before the film even premiered? C'mon that's a little suspect) disuade you from seeing it.

"Cryo" is like a tightly woven bit of fabric, with the threads looping in and out, every which way. At a micro level, it appears like average low budget science fiction fare, but once you sit back and look at the bigger picture, you come to the realization that it's actually a large beautiful quilt, perfectly interconnected at every level. It's pretty damn amazing for a new director's first feature film. Worth the watch!

Holy crap, what did I just watch? This was so strange, but so incredible too! No spoilers, but I did NOT expect that ending. I'm finding myself thinking about the movie over and over again, and how interconnected everything was despite not realizing that until the end. 10/10. Can't wait to see it again to revisit all the little details.

If you can sit thru this steaming pile of crud you deserve the Oscar. Acting and dialogue is complete crap and it's plot line is trying to recycle Cube and a slasher film. You'll probably notice here in the reviews that anyone giving this a ten just joined IMDB because only the film maker and cast can give themselves a pat on the back for this. No spoilers here, save yourself the cringe and boredom and watch something else.

This film is one that intrigues you at the start, and you slowly piece things together as it goes on. It winds itself up to have a very high impact ending that leaves you.... Well speechless. You are curious about every persons background and how they ended up here. Killer indie film that did a fantastic job at knowing what it was, and how to execute it. The fact this was made on such a small budget blows my mind. Slow clap to all those involved.

The film begins with a team of 5 people just awoken from cryostasis, dazed and confused, with difficulty remembering who and where they are. This is probably where the movie is at its worst, as the actors are extremely wooden in the opening scenes, going beyond the awkwardness their situation should call for, though that does improve as the film goes on and they somewhat settle into actual personalities. The idea itself was nice, not particularly original, we've all seen it played out in plenty of other movies, this one just included the actual product. It's a game of Clue. Kinda. Stories like this can be very entertaining for those that like to guess at the ending, and I feel like they did a fair job of it here, with plenty of hints and distractions for the audience. The final twist though was a stretch, and just made the story seem arbitrarily cruel and nonsensical, with the reasoning as to why remaining a vague and disappointing mystery. Otherwise, setting and camera work are both passable, with all shooting done seemingly in the one location. Not a film I'd watch again, but not terrible for a low budget production. Some heavy editing to bring down the length with a bit more clarity at the end, and it might actually be enjoyable.

Overall, this was fun and enagaging. The performances in the opening scene felt a little stilted for me. But they shaped up as characters seems to come alive. The overall concept felt Nolan-Esque and rather ingenious. Many of the scenes and images surprise me for being an indie film. I'd watch it again. In fact I look forward to as I think I'll pick up on more of the subtleties on a second go around.

The twist hit me like a brick probably three quarters through the movie. It gave me a lot to think about. The budget isn't exactly MCU sized, and it shows, but the amount of philosophical meat Burgin and Davis are able to pack into such a low budget production is pretty impressive. This isn't a date movie, but it is a thinker's movie. For weeks I found myself referencing the film's premise whenever certain commonplace things happened (you'll see what I mean if you watch it). Don't bail out in the first half. It's a slow burn but in my opinion it was really worth it.
