Be honest, it's more like a documentary to me instead of drama. Plus it's a crime theme so be aware b4 spend 2 hours on this. Zzzzzzzz

I wasn't expecting much after seeing the trailer for this b-grade film, but surprisingly ended up really enjoying it.
Newbie writer and director Joel Souza presented one typical L.A. night shift in a cruiser, and pulled it off quite well. There was a constant cloud of suspense in the way it was written and directed. It felt very real and intense. The cinematography was great, and the score on point. The 110 runtime was a little too long and either should've shaved off 10-15 mins, and/or the pacing picked up a little.
Nevertheless, mad props to Joel Souza for creating this little low-budget b-grade gem. A definite recommend, and a well deserving 8/10 from me.

So I don't like movies that promote big daddy government and always paint the cops as the good guys, because the truth is often different. I like movies like Training Day and End of Watch, which are both excellent examples of this genre.
Crown Vic is pretty good. The cinematography is top notch. The acting from Thomas Jane deserves a lot of credit and he is a very underrated actor. The acting from others is passable. If anything I would say some of the characters are overexaggerated, which wasn't necessary in my opinion. The story itself is pretty mediocre.
I like the movie anyway for what it is, and this kind of genre always seems to write itself. I put it outside the overdone "buddy cop" genre, but I wouldn't know what to call it.

Decent LAPD flick. Nothing special but definitely worth a watch. Thomas Jane killed it. Check it out.

I couldnt bear to watch more than15 minutes because the sound on this film was so bad. It was like listening to the film underwater. This spoils a lot of modern films. You go to see films on the bigscreen and the sound almost blows you out of the seat and when you leave your ears are ringing for a good 20minutes. You watch them on tv or your pc at home and the sound is utter bad. t The film industry should fix this.

Didn't expect much but really enjoyed this. Its more all about people and really there is little action for a police film.
It tells the story of a new cop's first night shift on the job with a senior officer whose first day it is as a training officer. The story develops and there is more to it than just a night shift.
Apart from a little bit in the middle, the film keeps your attention. Most of the action you see from or around the Crown Vic. Some of the action happens off camera as it happens away from the Crown Vic. You also see the arrest and then they are back on patrol.
It is very well acted and written. There are some things didn't like. There is 10min in the middle where it gets very dull. I am not sure the timeline works. I do not know about US police but don't they have to book in prisoners and process them? The timeline seemed to have them arrest, take the prisoner back, book them in, process them and back in the car in minutes. The ending is also very arupt.
Apart from this it is a good character driven film. There is little action so I wouldn't watch it expecting an action cop film.
