Crossbreed

Sorry, it's way worst than many alliens movie I ever watched. Storyline is confusing.

Not even worth watching the trailer! Baldwin looks really unwell in this and perhaps should retire rather than sink any further!

"Crossbreed" is a pretty straightforward story that pits space marines against a alien bio weapon. It is simple but at moments it strong in representation and aesthetics. Reminiscent of mid-nineties space fare like "Jason X" and Syfy stuff back when it was spelled correctly. Vivica A. Fox is great in her limited role as Commander-in-Chief, Madame President. The marines are stereotypical, but tolerable. Special effects are a mixed bag of cheap CGI and slightly better game-play level. Still it works and gives an entertaining affectation to the action sequences. The creature design and limited practical effects give "Crossbreed" it's real selling points. Plus add in some quality cinematography and the film is worth the watch. Just remember to go in with b-movie expectations.

I'm going out on a limb and giving this 4 stars. The story wasn't terrible, the acting was bad, but that happens a lot with nooby actors. I've seen a lot worse, so I at least appreciate the work everyone did, even if it turned out as poor as this is. There were some decent scenes that keep my interest, but not many. It was just really funny how one guy could sit right in the line of fire, and 5 guys with guns were plastering the wall (and doing NO damage!) right next to him.....(While he cut a few of them down). Or the guy chopping up someone, and NO blood anywhere, even on the machete! hahahah! Aside from that, if you can stomach low budget, silly scifi movies with really poor fight scenes and dumb lines, go for it!

So hard being a SCI FI fan, looking for that hidden gem of a movie...THIS IS NOT IT...I wanted to like this, I really did. I absolutely love everything science fiction. Movies like this, I dont even read the reviews... I look at the title..look at the cover art.. get excited this may be that gem waiting for me to find, press play and hope for the best... Honestly the first few minutes were promising, there were some decent, not amazing but decent effects plus the fact that Daniel Baldwin and Vivica A fox, although not amazing actors but aren't nobodies either, gave me some hope... But unfortunately this movie was really bad. I can do with the terrible acting and dialogue but there has to be at least some sort of decent story and pacing to make me want to stick it out and thats exactly what I just could not do--- Stick this one out----. I Found myself fast-forwarding constantly and just overall being BORED. I really wanted to like this and recommended it but I just cant... pass on this one guys..

Kind of wacky science fiction action film that takes us back to the heyday of video stores. You know, those weird straight to vhs films you used to see along the aisle and were probably too young to rent. I loved those. They had cussing, nudity, guns, and musclebound bozos you were grew to love. While this is not perfect by any means it definitely took me back to my preteen days sneaking into the video store hoping they'd rent to me. Hey, I had fun with it.

Just fantastic all around, and I really enjoyed the way it was told, the past and present and how it flowed so well.
