Don't waste your time, there are better actors on "Barry" this is so predicable I can't understand why people invest B movies of this caliber , the lead female actress insanely over acts, enough said don't waste your valuable time on this.

On Lifetime, this movie is called Secrets in the Mansion. As far as I am concerned, the secrets can stay in the mansion. I thought the movie was slow. Brandi (Natasha Wilson) was frustrating. She did some dumb things in trying to prove her suspicions. None of the characters were convincing. This was not a thriller.

This movie was so weird and disjointed. Brandi acts very odd and confrontational right out of the gate and she just MET these people, her supposed future in-laws! Also not to sound like a 90-year-old but the chauffeur/fixer guy and the dad looked alike and I kept getting them mixed up. Plus would a human trafficking operation be operated out of a luxury home with three people (and allowing clueless wives etc. To wander about freely?) Would they seriously bring the women they are trafficking to their own home? Sloppy. Also why did Aaron say Brandi was "so funny"? She never cracked a joke and barely smiled.

So we establish that the opening scene of the movie is in fact two months into the future. Here we have a mediocre fourth grader school teacher (we don't know what subject she teaches), very easily is convinced by her old college bestie (Vitori) to date her husband's single brother. It must have been a short whirlwind romance considering as I said the span is 2 months. Next thing she agrees to go all the way across the country to spend summer with her new boyfriend's family, knowing nothing about them. Oh my oh my she is delightfully shocked to discover that his family is filthy rich. She quickly blends in and lo and behold he gets down on one knee and proposes to her (remember the 2 month period). This is the only aspect of the total silliness of the movie and story I wanted to highlight. Other contributors highlighted other notable points! Absolutely crap!

Mediocre at best. Although it was fun to see Caryn Richmond from the Jardiance commercial. It was especially good because she played one of the bad guys. All of the acting was fine including Natasha. That was a good thing. But the plot plodded along with minimal reward and a sort of dopey ending.

This was soooo slow. I really couldn't get into it until the last 20-25 minutes of the movie. It took 6 different attempts to finish this movie.

Loved it! Another good Lifetime movie. (Some have been bad lately but a handful have been really good!). Excellent plot line and actors. Kept me guessing. An enjoyable watch. Pretty scenery too. Check it out.

The music should have had an "Also Starring" credit. It was so loud to the point of being obnoxious. This movie wasn't terrible, but was exactly as expected. Even down to the "surprise" villain. This movie wants us to believe that two characters realized something was wrong, but another who had been around much longer did not and had no involvement or knowledge at any time in life (avoiding spoilers). Yeah ok... Lifetime movies that deal with the subject matter (avoiding spoilers) of this one are pretty hit or miss. There was no satisfactory explanation of the motivation behind this given, which imo was necessary if they wanted us to believe that ***** was truly on the outside of this. I don't recall seeing any flashbacks of exactly how these "situations" took place. I agree with the other reviewer: this was supposedly a huge estate, very rich family...not a housekeeper to be seen. That one "handyman" was all of their staff? This family is supposedly rich AND powerful, but we see no evidence of the supposed influence. It might have been a budgetary choice, but in my opinion, it was too contained. The movie is pretty much set on their estate with, as I mentioned, no one else really around. It also didn't make sense that the villain and/or villains were doing this....but somehow the lead and her friend/almost SIL were safe? This one had some truly odd moments. Like the protag is attacked...knows she was attacked, but just goes back to bed in what was still a strange house. Or the scene where she suspects pretty much every male in the family, but goes off into the woods w/them by herself? AFTER her attack. It was so typically Lifetime, but at the same time, I was like "get real." I finished the movie in spite of how silly some of it was, so 4 stars for that. I took one away bc of the too loud soundtrack. There's really nothing to spoil because everything that happens is predictable. Unlike the Dr. Movies with Eric Roberts or the Wrong movies with Vivica A. Fox, this is just one of those filler movies that no one will remember. Lifetime is calling this a premiere, but it's not a 2021 movie and the Lifetime title is Secrets at the Mansion. I think I only found it on here when I looked up the main actress' credits and saw her character's name.
