Both my boyfriend and I found this movie to be very funny! But not in a good way. This guy actually went on Google, got research on the topic, and decided to put his word against hundreds of well educated people. Growing up around both animal and grain farming has taught me so much about where our food comes from. Now, I don't claim to be an expert on this topic. Which is why i'm in school studying agriculture. BUT I must speak my mind about the truth on this stupid theory! I'm going to correct some of the major mistakes made in this movie. First of all, 50% of grain produced does not go to animal feed. Only the highest quality grain goes into human food production. Anything below top quality gets turned to feed. Farmers make their money off the top quality stuff. They get paid pennies for the animal feed. If you want that lesser value food on your plate, maybe you should talk to the buyers. Not the producers. I couldn't even believe all of the bull sh"t numbers thrown around by this guy. Cows may produce more waste than humans and most other animals, but at least there's is biodegradable! its actually good for the soil of you can believe it. Humans were not designed to be vegans. Sure its possible but eating meat is part of nature. We need to be the alpha species. You think there is lots of livestock now? Imagine if they were allowed to breed on their own clock. There's no such thing as condoms for cows! LOL These animals would turn wild and breed until they were as common as rats/mice. I couldn't help but notice, that every time someone was on the right track of explaining why his theory was wrong, he would cut out the rest of their interview. If you have read this far, please don't fall for what he is trying to say. A handful of it might be true, but the rest of it has been blown out of proportion by a few uneducated hippies trying to make a quick buck and get famous. If I may jog your memory to a time when KONY 2013 was considered one of the biggest issues where millions of people were donating money to support the issue. Can you think of a way this is different? Sure you can, but try and think of the big picture. Which brings me to my last topic (I have more but lets face it, not many people are going to take my side on this issue because no one understands) WE CANNOT SIMPLY ELIMINATE ANIMAL AGRICULTURE FROM THIS PLANET!!! This guy, is an idiot. Where do you think these millions of animals would go if we simply set them free?? Honestly this movie in itself is a conspiracy. Not the cows. If everyone decided to stop eating meat, cattle ranches, poultry farms, and all other animal production lines would be shut down. Millions of dangerous animals would be set free and they would be taking up a lot more land than they are now. Farmers control animal breeding so animals don't become over populated. Now think of the farmers. What do you think would happen to all of the men, women and children that have spent their whole lives putting this food on your table? They would all be out of work. This movie is an absolute joke. Please for the sake of this planet educate yourself on farming practices. I can't explain it all but there are books that can. Don't trust everything you read on Google. All this blaming of agriculture has got to stop. We are the ones keeping you well fed and unless you are going to start your own homestead to raise your own meat, grain, fruit, and vegetables; please just let the farmers take care of you without all the complaints.
