Courageous

I don't know why many of you are pissed at the movie being a Christian one. Some even say the plot is nice without the preachy part, tell me how that works when the sole thing has been removed. And if you can't appreciate people's effort, pls just ignore it. We get that it's your review and criticism but be nice pls. I'm sure the movie will serve it's purpose with or without your opinion. It is well.

I try to watch as many of the Christian flicks as I can, and let me tell you this one may be my favorite. Great values and story, and action packed! Wow! Wasn't expecting this to be like James Bond!

This movie was doing so well. I was putting up with the religious undertones, but the ending just went way over the top! I certainly wasn't expecting, nor did I appreciate, the preaching at the viewer in the end. It was totally unnecessary, and brought my score from a 9, to barely a 3. People behind this film should remove the cult-like rantings. If they ever want to make real money. And if you think that any publicity is good publicity, ttrust me, in this case. There is no way known that I could, or would, ever recommend this movie to anyone.

Wow, just wow. Let me just start off by stating that I mistakenly rented this not knowing that I was going to be bashed over the head with religious messages. Add to the fact, that the director should be totally ashamed of himself for blatantly stereotyping Latin Americans. After all, we all know that Mexicans are the only poor people in this country that work construction jobs, right? I stopped watching after the daughter was killed by the drunk driver because I just could not digest one more minute of this drivel. Save your money on this one.

I highly recommend this movie. The story was well thought out although fairly complex. The acting was top notch and cinematography excellent. It really makes you think. Alex Kendrick, the lead actor, really portrays what it would be like to go through difficult family times with a son and a daughter. Ken Bevel, the other main actor, really stepped up his performance since Fireproof. It was not a short movie but I never felt like it was dragging at all. There was also a very powerful family story with at the dad's character Javier. His unrelenting faith was very encouraging. The other big thing is that it shows the difficult life of police officers and I give thanks for all that they do in our society. I don't know if the dramatic events happen in real life but they sure portrayed them effectively.

I don't understand why people are upset that it's about God. I liked it but it was very predictable and the acting wasn't the best. It's a good clean movie perfect for older children and everyone in between. Was it cheesy? Yes. I don't get why so many people are hating it. All the ads I had seen made it clear it was a Christian movie. I'm a Christian so my opinion may be swayed. If you're looking for a good Christian movie this is a good choice.
