Wow - just - wow ! (And I'm not saying that in a good way / or positive way ) The only thing that was scary or horrendous- was just EVERYTHING- and I say that - to warn all of you : Do not waste your time with this poor excuse of a movie. Do not waste your money with this garbage excuse of a movie. I cannot even comment on the acting in this -because I think i could have walked outside- and waved a five dollar bill- and found anyone to "act out any scene with the results being " Oscar worthy " compared to the stiff horribleness " that I sat through as I tried to find any good positive thing to say about this. A 4 year old with an iPhone could have given us better footage and a better story experience.

So i thought it was Conjuring sequel but oh my god what is this thing is this even movie? I can't even considerate this as movie it had no story or whatsoever. There is no story or progression it was absolute trash. This movie is even worse than all the other Conjuring movies, it feels like they had to cut back on the budget with this movie so they made it like a home shot movie. The scenes are way too long, boring and terribly acted, it is more fake than fake. The whole point of the story line is still unclear for what they were going for, it is very messy and boring. Especially near the ending of the movie it seems like the acting got worse, so did the make-up and editing, The story does not line up, the scenes are too long but yet the lack so much information, which makes it hard to understand what it´s about. Don´t waste your precious time on watching this horrendous movie.

As Harry Houdini proudly noted, no one could claim to be able to PROVE contact with the next world. He offered $50,000 ( a considerable sum in the 1920s) to ANYONE who could prove contact with the beyond. A few charlatans tried to con him, but none succeeded. All conjurers, obviously, are fakes, as is the one in this film. So promoting obvious lies is not a good strategy for a screenplay, nor is it a good choice of a vehicle for one's career in acting or directing. Better to do a public service announcement for free rather than take an emergency check for doing shoddy work on a piece of junk like this.

These people stole the name Conjuring just to get eye balls on this piece of garbage film. It is the slowest, most poorly acted, piece of garbage ever to be put out as a movie. I am a huge horror fan and can put up with a ton of garbage but this is utter trash. I get it. You have no idea what you're doing so just steal a name and go for it. At least try. I can't fathom how anyone in this movie called their family and said "I'm doing it!" or "I landed a part in an actual movie". For their follow up might I recommend "The Amityville Conjuring, a Child at Play on Elm Street on a Sinister Friday the 13th....... Ouija!!

Looks like a joke exam project from no talented movie producers. "Special effects" are hillarious. Acting is so very bad. I hope this does not ruin the actors careers, cause you don't want this on your CV. Even the old zombie movies were scarier then this. Waste of my evening. I feel like actually taking the time to write a review for this movie because at first, I was skeptical to watch it based on the very low tier reviews, but once I actually did watch it I wondered how many people must have slept through the movie or something to rate it as low as they did. The only parts I would agree with based on their rating was acting was alright, one actor in particular was stuck up egotistical and annoying but nothing too crazy, the beginning was a bit eh. We were not sure who the man was or how he tied to the story but I would presume that was the directors way of introducing what the horror was based on. Once it kicked off after the main actress attempting to get her life together by going to a sleep study, that's when it got really good. I thought the producers did a very fine job in creating a unique horror film on the basis of sleep paralysis. I'm sure many of us have experienced the same thing at least once in our life and the movie did a great job of not only bringing awareness to sleep paralysis but by making this obviously traumatic experience into a horror phenomenon. The music and creepy vibe of the coloring as well as the witch monster were pretty on point. I definitely recommend this movie and I know peoples opinions vary on what they believe is good or not but I for sure enjoyed it and hope others will to!
