Despite the stellar cast, the film is a mess. The story is confusing and doesn't go anywhere. I was honestly bored.

I accidently caught this flick while searching for some good old fairy tale, and extremely disappointed is not even a phrase that comes close to the actual movie experience. This whole new trend of quotas to various minority groups simply destroying movie industry! If this is the only alternative, I'd rather read so much more or even play video games instead. Apparently the movie makers forgot that to make a good movie, you need to have actual talent in all departments and not just suit a politically correct extreme agenda in all possible ways. Destruction or as they call it "reimagination" of classic tales and characters doesn't help either. What kind of executive id...t actually approves that garbage? Jolie lost it as a star attraction. I was hoping to see something similar to her previous movies, which weren't at the top of the line but were good enough, but more of this and for me, she absolutely lost it. I hope that A list actors, producers and directors will stand up to that awful trend and once again gain the creativity that made Hollywood movies legendary. All things need to end, and so is this garbage trend.

What reemtolah means is "but Alice and Peter pan aren't black!!??!" The movie is very entertaining, to more than just kids with specific hues. Dont let the fact that there was never a mention of the original characters race be the determining factor of you watching it or not.

Me and my girlfriend were kind of excited when we saw the trailer for the first time. We thought we were in for a Neverland / Wonderland adventure. But we definitely didn't get that here. I won't spoil anything but the trailer lie to you.

Come Away sends us into our own dream world. Like dreams the movie responds to our imagination as a human life of random experiences. Beautiful acting, cinematograph, directing, music, and production. The lack of contemporary social normal pressure allows us to relax and focus inwardly.

Fairy dust enchants us so much that sometimes we forget that fairy tales aren't entirely sparkly dreams, but daring and brave adventures. In this reimagining of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pans origin stories, Alice and Peter are siblings navigating a terrible loss. It's a beautifully told story with unique twists but great and super creative nods back to the original texts. We've got a full parent review with discussion questions at down the hobbit hole blog. It's an incredibly sad and moving story but there are handfuls of hopeful fairy dust sprinkled throughout the film and the ending. If you've enjoyed remakes, like the newer Alice in Wonderlands and Finding Neverland- this is one you will not want to miss! It's a really creative drama with a lot of heart!

5/10 - creative mix of Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland lacks the punch it needs to fully explore the interesting juxtaposition of staying young forever and having to grow up
