This movie is so slow. Lots of talking and not near enough slashing for a horror movie. The Clown Doll isn't even a doll but some big dude dressed in a terrible clown costume.

Another clown film. This one wasn't too bad but it wasn't good never mind amazing either.
The follows a young woman, Lane. Who is carrying a baby for her sister in law & her boyfriend. She somehow purchases a clown doll for £50 & has it in her house. She then starts to receive weird phone calls from some mysterious man but it's then that her friends & family start to die 1 by 1. Police start to suspect Lane as the culprit as evidence seems to be pointing to her despite her claims of innocence.
I found the film to be actually quite sinister & dark. In fact, it would've been a promising film had the body count been higher & the ending had been better. The kills were either unconvincing or simply bad. The logic in the film of the friends & family making out Lane was going mad was annoying, never mind the police officer who in usual British police fashion disbelieves her claims of innocence & makes snide digs & hints that she is the killer & then gets defensive when she gets defensive. That jarred me off as it mirrors real life...! Flippin' pigs I tell ya...!
The films scoring was good & the dark twisted nature of not being believed & going mad was well done, but the kills could've been better & the body count could've been higher. The ending was weird & didn't make sense though...!
Overall it's not as bad as I thought but not as great either... 4/10

The movie is so cheesy, the goosebumps movies are more realistic. The beginning has some of the worst acting iv seen.

Clown Doll (2019) is a movie I recently streamed off Tubi for free and focuses on a possessed clown doll. The doll is purchased by a woman who is serving as a surrogate mother for her sister. When the doll starts killing everyone around the sister, people begin thinking the sister is crazy and put procedures in place to protect the baby. This movie is directed by Scott Jeffrey (The Bad Nun) and stars Sarah Cohen (The Gardner), Peter Cosgrove (The Curse of Halloween Jack), Kate Milner Evans (A Killer Next Door) and Carmina Cardelia (Cyber Bride). The storyline for this picture had potential but the clown doll could have been better, creepier and looked more like the clown on the movie poster. I liked the doubt consistently thrown the sisters way and felt this could have been better with a bigger budget; but as is, this is a below average addition to the genre that is worth a viewing. I'd score this a 4/10.

A woman with a surrogate pregnancy buys a creepy clown doll from an antique shop and things go as expected, several murders and the woman going mad. A serial killer called Oliver Reed (!) appears to inhabit the doll. It could have been a good film but the acting, music score, script and direction let it down. It starts with an unnecessary prologue and finishes without making sense. Did enjoy the brief appearance of Cassandra French as the owner of the shop Judy and the clown doll itself was creepy enough. On the whole though, a bit boring.

Seriously, this movie drives me insane! The main reason is that in one frame there is a random person standing there for no reason! Who is this person??? Why are they there???? Why has no one ever mentioned it???!!!!????!!!??? I have so many questions and none have been answered!

In the first few minutes of the movie we see a clown doll kill a bunch of humans who work very hard to keep their back turned to him and ignore him, despite already seemingly knowing he is a killer doll. This continues through out the movie right up until the end, when the killer doll is walking towards someone and the protagonist merely states "move, you have to trust me, move". It is about as bad as a parody. As far as the rest of the film goes, its lackluster all around. Mediocre acting, painful plot, weak effects, un interesting kills.

Kept distracted as the protagonist's mother buys her an old fashion phone but it doesn't have the cord attached to the handle and drove my friend and I a wee mad that the set person didn't know how phones were designed ...
