This movie had newer actors and was fine at the beginning. Th3 lead female played the part early well. The issue was when she had to shoe real emotion it was a struggle. The storlinewhile predictable faded atth3 end. The lead guy should have been chased afterwards versus giving up after the female lead played the predictable stunt. Her regret was even disingenuous. The r3morse as you were saying your wrong and still preceding ahead was a joke. Worst part was there was never any real fake chemistry with the ex. The 2nd female was way to incompetent to b an influencer.
Liam was better than grant but that's not saying much. Liam actually was okay but more outrage than wet noodle would be better.
Favorite character the female leads mom followed by her sister.
Stop rushing these movies out. Make better decisions on the director and leads. The beauty of Christmas movies is to find the ones you will watch over and over. We may not find another's it's wonderful life but we can get something more like lower far3 Christmas in Homestead o4 Christmas on my mind or Finding Christmas which I will, watch 2-3times a year versus once or twice in my lifetime.

Colton Little is a doll, and basically the best thing in the movie. The dialogue is stilted and awkward and the main girl is SO bad!! Someone needs to start making decent Christmas movies.

Start with the premise of the best friend who really should be the boyfriend. Ashley really goes over the top in taking advantage of Liam. I can see why other reviewers are saying they don't want Ashley to get together with anyone.
Usually, in best friend romance movies there is a natural chemistry between the best friends, but it wasn't really there in this movie. Colton Little really didn't seem comfortable with Parhiala even before they started faking their romantic relationship.
The two women do nothing to flatter the fairer sex. Ashley is obviously competent, but she's irrational about Grant from start to finish and her antics are embarrassing. Bella is the stereotype of a social media diva.
None of the main actors seem natural in delivery of their lines. Maybe it's the inane dialogue. There's an emotional scene toward the end where both women actors seem to think that just raising their voices an octave is sufficient to portray emotion, especially Parhiala.
I usually don't agree with complaints about sound track volume. I rarely have a real problem with it despite complaints, but this sound track was distracting.
There was a couples dance scene and none of the main actors could dance decently. It almost looked like when the scene was shot, the actors were hearing different music or no music. They definitely weren't able to dance and deliver lines at the same time.
There's a scene with Bella eating where she was channeling Meg Ryan (Harry Met Sally).
There really is no story other than the competition/jealousy angle. Combine that with no acting and no dialogue and you have a perfect movie.
Strangely, the last quarter or so of the movie goes from horrible to simply mediocre or perhaps even fair.. The acting is less bad. The dialogue at least makes some sense, and the story ending isn't bad even though it is predictable.

The only reason this gets 4 stars is because of Colton Little. To him I would say this. It's ok to be relegated to the romance genre but please try to be a little more picky. For godsakes, and your own, fire your manager. If this is the best he can come up with for you then you are doomed.
Yes, to go on about this man because well, he just exudes sex. He's handsome with smoldering eyes, a square jaw, and a strong chin and he makes the struggle to get through this a little easier.
As for schmaltzy holiday romcoms, this is among the worst. The female MC is so hard to like, being a combination of writing and the acting itself. She is such the silly little schoolgirl to which she actually admits in the movie. And that squeaky voice. WTHF is that? When I watched this I was thinking this is the most egregious behavior towards friends I've ever witnessed in one of these movies and had I been any of them I would have told her to go %!?@ herself. It was shocking to watch them all so easily forgive her.
Is this a subtle or not so, form of misogyny on the part of the writer and a willingness of the actors to participate in? I believe it is.
Finding those good romcoms that are low on sap with good acting, production values, and story, is challenging but actually out there. Unfortunately you're stuck with this mess in your search to find them.

OMG-this is so Gen Z obnoxious. Breanne Hill is nicknamed "ladybug", gag me, and talks in a fake breathy whisper. She is trying to win back her high school BF. Who is a big zero if you ask me. The other main female is an "influencer". That whole thing needs to die in this life and soon. This entire influencer/tik tok life is so shallow and not story worthy. Yet I notice so many of this churn em and burn em holiday movies have incorporated them into the plots.
The acting is like low level soap opera for the young characters. The older actors are good. But what the heck is Trevor Eve doing in this movie? A British serious actor, from the UK in a cheesy movie shot in California? That was strange. If you are a Gen Z maybe this movie is for you.

Masiela Lusha playing Bella as the female lead was one of the most annoying characters I have ever watched in a movie. Her squeaky little girl voice got more and more grating as the movie progressed. Her character was so shallow and irritating. She never seemed to improve as the story went on and on. The other "actors" weren't much better! There simply was actually nothing entertaining or heartwarming about this movie. Well...maybe the scenery was nice, as the lodge setting was quaint and lovely. Such a typical and predictable ending. I can't even figure out why I watched the whole thing except maybe thinking it'd have to get better. Don't waste your time on this one.

Can't even begin to say how much I hated this movie. Where to start, Female lead, while gorgeous, proves that beauty is skin deep. Her character proves that ugly goes all the way to the bone. Selfish, self-serving, horrible acting, really dis-likeable. Her acting was not good, way over the top and unbelievable. She is very beautiful. Lead actor was the only redeemable character in the movie. I wish he had had more backbone though (bad writing /directing). I wanted him to bow up and say enough is enough, before that point in the movie came. "Grant" embodies all the horrible, self-serving attributes, along with Ashley, that hurts so many people in real life. Movies like these really make me angry. And I don't need to mention the always overbearing music that so many of these movies have.

The acting was over the top, the only decent actor was playing the "best friend/boyfriend" Liam.
He could maybe would have been better if the story was written better. The rest of the 3 lead actors in the story just sucked as actors too.
I do not mind watching B movies, most of them are enjoyable. But this was horribel!
The story writting really sucked.
Nobody in their right mind would have been forgiving Ashley (the lead role) for what she did. She went wayyy to over the top. The story was ment to be romantic but this was not romantic at all. It was sickening!
Horrible!! Not worth anybody's time.
