Watching on prime and I'm not sure if my internet is lagging or if the movie feels like its lagging its weird cause it looks cute but that is annoying.

What is with the audio and the music? Loud rings and bells and everything sounds like they filmed it in the bathroom. Horrible. Storyline and acting was mediocre.

The story is obviously a take on Cyrano de Bergerac. Even Holly mentions that in the movie. There are a few of the common Rom/com tropes, but a lot of the common Christmas ones are not in this movie. The general outcome is predictable. For me, two things were noticeable on the negative side. The audio sounded like it was cut in a busy area like a bar because background conversations were distracting. Very annoying! And many of the conversations between Holly and either of the two male opposites were awkward. Strange dialogue. Those with Josh might have been meant that way, but it was even true with David on too many occasions. As a result it was hard to see chemistry with Elisabeth Harnois and Jonathan Togo, but there was some. There are a couple of funny moments. The confrontation between Josh and the recruiter with what followed was a good one. David's "date" to the prom is a nice touch also. According to this website, the filming location is Lafayette LA. That's interesting because snow on the ground is prominent throughout the movie. A web search confirms that snow is rare, even problematic, in Louisiana.

Is this one the infamous Hallmark Xmas movies ? Jesus Christ , America ; you are FUBAR ...

This movie had all the makings of a good Christmas movie, until the dialogue starts! Frankly, the sound recording is absolutely dire. Dialogue sounds mumbled and quiet and then tinny and loud. Was the sound guy taking advantage of some recreational chemicals?

Don't listen to the other reviews- this movie is sweet, funny, and very like able characters.:) The main girl has the right chemistry and love supporting character/main friend. I especially felt for her when they showed her older sister..It's perfect if want a feel good, sweet humorous movie to pass the day- should give it a try! Oh and contrary to not at all other accurate review- this movie is Not misogynistic at all!!

Normal acting, typical xmas story. What throws me back is is the ilumination, I don't kniw what the director of photography wanted to show, it's really basic, it doesn't look really profesional, it's well made but something is missing. The angulations some times are strange... Also the edition it's really bad, too long shots, artificial cuts... It's a big budget xmas film student project.

Liked so much husband and I went to Lafayette last year to see some of the sights in the movie.

I usually don't like Christmas movies as a rule but it was on tv while I was working and I didn't change it... the next thing you know I'm glued to the tv. It had its cute/cringe worthy awkward moments that made me laugh which is very hard to do! Definitely worth watching;) Merry Christmas!
