You get to work out what you would do or go with something you would never do. It is an illusion of choice though, some things will just happen, some choices are already made. That said it is an interesting concept. It looks effortless and is very well done. Creating the choices and making the film hang together as a narrative must have been quite a challenge. It is interesting to make choices and then rewind and make different ones. You could watch this film a few times with different choices. Ultimately it is fluff and if you take it as such it is enjoyable. I do not look for plot holes so I may have missed them. It is enjoyable if you are looking for something fluffy and not emotionally taxing.

There is a singing scene between Rex, the rock star, and laura Marano. It is freakishly close to a singing scene in Austin and Ally between Laura marano and Austin--Ros Lynch. Both songs are pretty and there's even a similar "lean on" lyric. And in both Laura Marano plays a singer with stage fright. The scene has very little to do with the actual plot. It's just amazingly close to Austin and Ally. Laura Marano must have had a strong deja vu. Meanwhile I had no idea Rex was Avan Jogia (Beck) from Victorious. He did a good job. I like when actors appear as characters and you don't recognize them at all. The movie is good fun and if you're an Austin and Ally fan you will love the singing scene.

Cami Conway (Laura Marano) is unsatisfied. A psychic tells her that she has three men in her future. She already has adequate boyfriend Paul Swartz (Scott Michael Foster). Former crush Jack Menna (Jordi Webber) comes back into her life. Rock star Rex Galier (Avan Jogia) tempts her with reviving her childhood dream. Cami often breaks the fourth wall and sometimes invites the audience to make a choice. Netflix is trying interactive again and I can say that this is a fail. I barely am able to maintain interest to go through the story once. It's a very bland rom-com and not worthy of the attention needed for the interactions. This would be more in line with Hallmark romance movies and those are best played in the background. For this genre to work, the audience has to be fully invested in the movie and desperate to search out every possible path. I remember those Choose Your Own Adventure books back in the 80's. They were more action adventures. A good rom-com is constructed from standard parts that builds and flows. I don't think it works as an interactive movie. When it is interactive, it becomes too disjointed. This movie is always going through all three men to set up the next choice. The structure is completely different. Like I said, this is a bland rom-com to begin with. I like Marano, but the movie is all on her shoulders. The guys could be good, but the premise makes them not irreplaceable. As a straight-up rom-com, this could be average Hallmark fare. Add in the gimmick, this become unbearably extended.

I saw * better filmed than this. There are scene where you can see they used green screen. The writting is so cheesy that will make Pacino act bad, so let's not blame the actors. This is just a low romcom that can you trick by the false asumption that is interactive. Despite the big decisions eg. Which race should the white woman chose, the rest of decisions are simply useless, because the movie will go in the same direction. There is a case where you can chose if Cami should wear an elegant dress or a wild one and no matter what you chose, the man will decide in the next scene that the elegant one is the the better choice. Big L Netflix.

So wasn't paying attention to what I put on Netflix earlier and ended up putting on Choose Love. I was busy colouring in so wasn't paying attention at all until, it turns out, that it's a Netflix interactive film and I had never watched any interactive films before, so kept it on out of curiosity and well hours later, stopped colouring in and just watched the film and ended up going through every choice and every scenario. The only thing that made it loose a star for me is that I do think once the final options are chosen it would give an actual proper ending for that person, like into the future to see how it all ends, probably budget or unless they make another to keep a series of films going? I ended up choosing Rex, my goodness the character Rex just absolutely lights her up (and me haha!) You cannot fake that chemistry they have compared to the other choices, they way they connected on a totally different level (the top level of honesty, the humour, the parts that just seem the most natural despite not knowing the ending, or if he could ever stay grounded etc., the flair and confidence of them both) compared to the other choices (well apart from the start at the school with her niece, when she meets Jack, the school romeo now grown up thay was the most chemistry they had in my opinion, though others may have chosen a different opinion than me).
