I liked how this film had 2 people from different worlds coming together to fight environmental corruption. It was like destiny in motion when the Inuit man felt the need to travel down to NYC and met up with the lady. It just so happened from pure luck that certain things were exposed to both individuals that came from the evil corporations who were hell bent on further destroying the lands and resources we all take for granted. Although there was really nothing either of them could literally stop the bad guys from further polluting and abusing the lands, air, water and natural resources, they did their best to expose the truth to the surrounding non-stop and clueless New Yorkers who only cared about what their daily cup of Joe about which celebrities were seeing who, who was getting hitched with who, who was breaking up etc. The last thing on the average New Yorker's mind was the environment and how it had to be saved from further destruction. Anyways... this film earns a 7 out of 10.

Theo (Theo Ikummaq) is an Inuit who loves to walk on the ice, with the sky above him. But, the elders of his region are VERY worried. The climate seems to be changing, getting warmer, and this upsets the balance of nature. This is true for Inuit, animals, and plants. Therefore, after having dreams of a giant killer sun, the elders send Theo on airplane to New York City. Once there, this relatively young man is to "find the native elders" and hatch some plans to save the arctic. But, alas, when Theo makes it to Manhattan, no one seems to know where the elders are. Happily, Chloe (Dakota Johnson), a homeless but bright woman, takes him under her wing. This includes leading him to a secret hideaway which she and a few others call home. After much discussion, these folks are convinced Theo's best chance is to talk to the large groups of "elders" at the United Nations. Unfortunately, they reject his plea and, when Chloe gets mad, the young lady lands in jail. Fortunately, a smart lawyer (Mira Sorvino) comes to help the whole group, including making plans to raise funds for Theo to broadcast his concerns. Then, tragedy strikes. Will the world know that all peoples must work together to combat climate change? This fine film has a Crocodile Dundee feeling, as Theo is very much an outsider in the big city. But, there is a far more serious tone, as Theo's message is extremely important. Even so, there are light-hearted moments, with Theo exhibiting a natural charm. Johnson, Sorvino, and the rest of the cast is quite wonderful, too. The scenes in the Arctic are beyond beautiful in their harsh ways while the NYC setting, costumes, great script and careful direction complete the movie in fine fashion. Want to see something sweet, moving, and unusual at the same time? Theo and Chloe's journey is a most excellent adventure.

In an age of so many movies driven by political & social agendas, this gem slows everything down & conveys a messsge to humanity at the simplest level.
We are responsible for our actions & inaction.
Respect one another & our resources.
This gem pushes many narratives aside & focuses on caring about more than just "me".
Among the best movies I've seen, I will watch it again...

Anyone that gives a low rating on this Movie are ignorant and selfish...It's one of the most moving "True" people by the way Story. Obviously most people have nil empathy or compassion and only want to see Feel Good movies so they can ignore what;s REALLY going on in this World..Shame on all that rated this low. This story should be in all the schools!

I hope the make another similar story. I enjoyed the movie, but found a lot of things senseless, not really part of the plot or characters. I wished it flowed more like a movie, not linearly, but with vocal audio levels more normalized between musical barrages. It may have been designed to feel like we were in a city after being in a remote place, I'm not sure.

I really wanted to like this movie. But it was low budget, slow, and had a terrible ending.
The actor who played Theo was awesome - I love everything about Theo's character.
The three stars I give ate for the actor who played Theo, and Mira Sorvino. The rest of the acting seemed forced and just plain bad.

Challenging and interesting with a punch to the gut of our indulgent lifestyle. It's a shame more reviews do not see the impact of this film on the viewers. While it is not a high tech, super expensive film, the acting is better than anyone gives it credit for, and the purpose of the film is achieved.

Chloe and Theo is a unique and inspiring film that shows how unlikely friendships can change the world! Caring and helping with the environment is very crucial and this film brilliantly portrays this message.
A homeless female, Chloe and an Inuit named Theo build a relationship after getting a life changing message in order to save the world. Despite being total opposites and having a difficult, yet hilarious adventure, both Chloe and Theo create an unbreakable bond in order to finish the mission successfully.
Chloe (Dakota Johnson) is my favorite character in this film. Dakota Johnson is an all-around, well-rounded actress and her acting brings so much to the complex character of Chloe. There is so much character development with Chloe; we see how she grows and matures as a person. Her character is someone that many people will relate to. The Inuit, Theo (Theo Ikummaq) essentially plays himself and captures his own cultural heritage with what seems like little to no acting. His portrayal Theo makes this film heartfelt and more personal for audiences. Chloe portrays a homeless woman and her clothing shows us exactly what her circumstances are. Theo's clothing, to the best of my knowledge, does justice to the Inuit culture by using traditional attire. The music and score, from start to finish, is incredible! Every funny scene, serious scene or even dialogue rich scene is enhanced with the background music. My favorite scenes of the film are those with educational aspects. While much of the film is based on fictional storylines, there are many cultural and environmental aspects that I learned by watching this film -- an experience you don't have often with movies.
The message of this film is to be open minded to different people and possibilities. If Chloe had rejected the opportunity to help Theo carry out the message to save the environment, then she would not have been able to be a hero or make a difference. Despite their differences, they looked past this and decided to see the bigger picture - a lesson I encourage all to learn from.
I give Chloe and Theo 5 out 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to 18, plus adults. Chloe and Theo releases just in time for Earth Day, April 22, 2022 on Digital and DVD. Don't miss it! By Ashleigh C., KIDS FIRST!
