This is an intensely brutal tale of a social crime and its repercussions told in an unapologetic manner. The director deserves applause for exploring a sensitive subject and making it endearing for the viewers. I lost track of how many times i wept during its runtime. I must say the lead and supporting cast have just lived their part. Its easily the best work of Siddharth till date. As a loving chitta who takes care of his niece more than her dad and feels pain after her loss , Sid has given a powerhouse performance. I hope he receives many awards and accolades for this performance and sticks to roles that explores his acting talent .Even the kids have acted so well. The story, screenplay and music everything is top notch. If you like story driven movies and not mass masala flicks, then this movie is definitely a must watch.

I enjoyed this flick from Siddharth and the movie kept me very engaging till the end. The child who played 'Sundari' deserves an applause- she was great throughout the movie. Siddharth had a good role, which could have slipped from his hands easily in the movie, but he executed it perfectly.
It's good to see Nimisha Sajayan get a good start in Kollywood, she was incredible throughout but the real hero of the movie is the child actress who played the role 'Sundari'. She is the life of this film.
The production design was perfect and it did have an impact throughout the film.
I would have gone for an 8 or 9 stars but the last 30 minutes were not that smoothly executed. I guess the director rushed to wrap it up. This is easily noticeable in the film and the screenplay was a bit sloppy in the final moments. Keeping these things aside, this was a very nice film. Hope Siddharth(he was the producer of the movie) will take initiative in producing good films like this in the future.

Eeswaran (Siddharth) is like a foster parent to his dead brother's child Sundari. Co-parenting her along with his sister-in-law. He is extremely protective of her and ensures to timely pick her up from school. One day, Sundari's friend Ponni is assaulted and Eeswaran is accused of the crime which takes a huge toll on him and his family. By the time he is proven to be innocent of the crime, a pedophile abducts Sundari. Will Sundari be saved from the monster and what impact this has on Eeswaran forms rest of the story.
S. U. Arun Kumar narrates a hard hitting tale where he firmly establishes the bond between uncle and his niece. He has taken over the responsibility of the household after his brother's death and the bonding with his sister-in-law is also superbly established. This is a family which has learnt to move on and how. But when the crisis arises through a monster, forcing this very family struggle to move on and this aspect is superbly captured. Chithha is a tough watch and the issue is carefully handled.
What didn't work for me was the entire vigilante angle which allowed it to take a few cinematic liberties in an already solid film which didn't required to. The real scene stealer being Nimisha Sajayan as Sakthi and her scene towards the end, sums it up perfectly. That entire scene and specifically her dialogues, hit so hard and the scene which followed after seems to be the perfect ending. In it's attempt at closing the revenge plot, the film only makes the police look incapable and the scenes came out too convenient. Barring this, the film is still a solid watch and kudos to Siddharth for backing this project.

It's absolutely best film ever made in tamil cinema. Intense and Truthful. Great message and many scenes i cried loud. It's touched my heart. It deserves the best film of the decade. Great performance by all, especially Sidharth and the small girl sundari. Congratulations to all technicians to give best cinematic experience. It's great message to society and very men. Expected a climax where the reall psycho got his punishment in reall sense, but it was disappointing. Recommending every individual to see this movie and make sure every girl child or every girls got their safety and respect. Once again the best movie I ever seen in recent times...

This film DID NOT DISAPPOINT! To say that Chithha is worth every minute of your time is an understatement. The film brought out many important social issues and it was gripping from the very first second to the end. Good comeback for Siddharth
-Casting director picked the right talents! It was great to see Nimisha Sajayan and Anjali Nair!
The little girl Sahasra Shree, what a beauty😍 She made acting look effortless
Whenever actors look like a real family on set, you know that they are doing a good job. Siddarth nailed every frame!
The movie gave hope to families that there are still some good uncles out there who have genuine affection for their nieces/nephews, not all are "hungry for flesh"
-Give it up for the soundtrack and the score, we usually don't pay attention to songs, but it's hard not to in Chithha: just soothing and radiating love. The score built up the momentum and increased the suspense level, it was complementing the thrilling storytelling
-S. U. Arun Kumar is an excellent storyteller as he caught our attention from the very first scene. Every moment was crucial that we couldn't and didn't want to take a bathroom break😅 The ending was definitely original
-It was great that the movie raised awareness on children's safety.
Something that was quite special was Sakhti's zero tolerance for dirty areas, she was adamant about people cleaning after their mess, wonder how it fit into the story🤔
This could have been used as a symbol to have criminals also pay for their crimes, which can be compared to cleaning your mess?

Every parents must watch the movie. Need to teach the kids on behaviour especially with third person irrespective of gender.
More cautious on handling child behaviour. After watching the movie I can't even imagine this happening somewhere in real time.
Regarding movie hope everyone acted naturally and able to correlate the emotions and travelled along with us.so many scenes tears are wiping out.
After watching the movie not sure to whom should we trust and leave our child.
Especially sidhharth actingbis good while his friends and his family are doubting on his behaviour.
Finally must watch movie.
