Simply put, truly the *only* problem I had with this movie is excessive editing. Too much flesh was cut out. In fact, there are scenes in the original trailer from last year that appear to have been cut or trimmed. The cuts appear intended to make the movie more action- and humor-oriented, with less story or character development. This was a mistake. But for that I would be thrilled with the film. I saw the movie twice. The first time this was annoying because I was expecting more depth in the story (like the first one). The second time I knew what to expect, and just enjoyed it for what it is. And I laughed a lot more that time. Enjoy it for what it is. I will definitely be getting the DVD. My hope is that it will include an expanded version with those scenes restored.

Cats and dogs 2, is better than its precedent from 10 years ago, yet it lacks laughs and interest. The movie is based on the cats and dogs joining together and trying to beat Kitty Galore. In my opinion this villain was not interesting as the last one. This one is less creative and is not as creative. There is also a new main character and some returning. It was entertaining to see how the dogs and the cats were trained to do this movie. The effects lack a lot of technology and they looked a little fake. I did not get a chance to see this in 3d, but I think that it wouldn't have been that great since there are not a lot of scenes that pop out at you. At the end of the film it leaves with a cliffhanger where you think a third installment will come soon. The only thing that makes me want to see it is the same villain as the first movie, but other than that, I hope the directors and producers come up with a better script. Rent it for the kids, but not for teenagers or adults.

I Have to say that I liked this a lot and it made me laugh. I never saw the first one so I cannot compare but this one on the TV in the background and it was so funny i had to stop what I was doing and pay full attention to it. It had a lot of funny takes on the James bond franchise and a lot of creative ways to get the dogs to do what a human spy would do. I thought it was silly but that was part of its charm. I loved the crazy pigeon and I liked the cat working with the dog together. the story was a little cliché but the creative ways they got the dogs to be spies made up for it.

I always enjoy animal movies. It's always a shame when an animal interactive movie fails, because the whole purpose, for what I feel is to provide a happy experience with animals. This movie did just that. it encouraged me to have a stronger bond with my pets, and ensured me that the themed of the animal movies aren't straying away the OG movies of Homeward bound or Oliver and Company.

Why in the world do people hate this movie, it's cute, funny, and has talking animals! I love the CGI! The soundtrack is also really good. Please oh please give this movie a better rating!!

This movie is nowhere nere as good as the first cats and dogs but it is funny and entertaining. one thing that this movie completely fails at is heavily relying on CGI granted some animals are animotronics and real animals the whole thing is just a whole fake mess. another thing is lame jokes but i expect it in a kids movie. other then that Sean Hayes returns to play Mr. tinkles and is funny as always. so i would recommend you see this movie. 1hr 22min/82min Rated PG for animal action and humor **1/2/****

Picking up where their pet predecessors left off, dogs and cats are forced to join forces when rogue feline Kitty Galore threatens global domination. This ungainly, cheaper-looking sequel to the chirpy CG-assisted cats (bad) versus dogs (good) comedy, opts for littering the place with movie references over soppy family adventure. But apart from the delightful pet-themed Maurice Binder credit sequence it aims low - dogs and cats must set aside years of 'petty' rivalry to stop a furless megalomaniac (still a cat) via four-legged skits on Bond, Silence Of The Lambs, and (with unfortunate timing) Lethal Weapon. The human characters (the original wisely kept kids front and centre) are sidelined and mostly played by Chris O'Donnell. The effects have gone backwards; the shift between real animals wearing goggles and the FX assisted fluff jarringly obvious. While film academics will bemoan that Midler's scheming, Gollum-y Kitty Galore is no Mr. Tinkles.
