Calm Like a Bomb

Just finished watching. What is wrong with me? If I was thinking straight, I could have been picking the lint out of the corner of my big toe. Oh well. Movie is so stupid. It's a pretentious bore fest. If you edited out the multiple repeated endless ongoing non-stop shots of the bad guys getting hammered in bar, pointless side shots of women's upper thighs and bosoms, 6-frame indecipherable flashbacks and the "good guy" boyfriend walking (and walking and walking), the movie would be eight minutes TOPS. But I said bosoms so it must be worth a look, right? Good luck, my amorous friend. Everything is shot so darkly and so cheaply that you can barely make out any images. And the movie editing is nothing but nonsensical jump cuts and dark images so there's that. So let me save you 83 minutes of your precious life: A girl gets followed off a train by three bad guys. Even though she's being followed and there are people that she can run to for help, she inexplicably runs into a dark abandoned building (think the front lady always tripping in Friday the 13th movies). They catch her, "have their way with her" but don't kill her. But somehow there are shots of a grave that the boyfriend keeps visiting. Is it the girlfriend? His mother? Entire family? We don't know if, how or when the girlfriend died. The three bad guys walked away when they were done and she was alive. Did she kill herself later? Sure would be nice to know. Anyways, the "good guy" boyfriend tracks down all three bad guys and kills them. Boring, long tedious shots. For example, it takes the boyfriend SIX MINUTES to walk through a small men's bathroom to shoot one of the bad guys. Even worse, he shoots the 300 pound bad guy last. Shoots him three times and it looks like he's dead. BUT THEN the boyfriend somehow drags the guy up to where the three bad guys assaulted the girl ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN so he can finish him off there. What? How did he get the 300 pound bleeding bad guy there? On his back? After finishing off the last bad guy, the boyfriend walks to a riverbed we haven't seen before and shoots himself. The end? Oh, I so wish my friend. After the boyfriend shoots himself, there is an end still shot from hades. FOR THREE FULL MINUTES, It's just him lying there. Oh, so deep and poignant. Not! I can't describe in words how poor and pretentious (yes, I said it again) this movie is. One of the worst I've seen in many years. Truly a waste of the iPhone 7 hard drive space this excruciating movie was shot and edited on.

What's the point, dark lighting, can barely see anythign in it, no dialogue, confusing, hard to follow, , tried to stick with but couldn't, that's why its free, I guess.

If this were a prolonged joke carried out by Andy Kaufman, it would have been hilarious. Rather it was more painful than a catheter sans anesthesia. Putting in the minimally required 150 characters required to post a review seems like more effort than was put into this nothingness of film. Some school out there somewhere owes these writers and directors a refund on their tuition and an honest conversation in which they advise that their collective skills are nonexistent and creative vision is that of vehicle driving through a hurricane without working windshield wipers.

My god I never see like this kind of movie , utter waste movie I don't understand what mean director? I waste my 1hr 15 minutes .... Please don't attempt Direct this type of movie in future.......

After five minutes I was thinking that the shaky camera and jarring edits were going to sink this film, but, boy-howdy, was I wrong. When a full ten minutes came and went and not one word of dialog was spoken I thought my Fire Stick was glitching. Nope, the Fire Stick was fine and Amazon wasn't dropping the audio either. There simply was NO DIALOGUE. I get the concept of trying to show the audience what is going on and have them piece it together, but holy cow, this was not the way to execute it. It was tedious to watch and try to infer what was going on. And, I'll admit, if I didn't haven't read the description of the movie I think I would've been even more lost. I mean, I don't normally like to criticize, but I can't help myself with this misfire. It wasn't only a waste of a strange gimmick but it also was hard to watch thanks to the constant shifting in perspective and quick edits that constantly yank you around. Pass on this, even if it does have a cool title and an interesting concept.

Keep trying , this was bad. Not good. Help..... Ggggggggg.

There's not a single line of dialogue in this whole movie, just a combination of images, flashes of the city, a strip club, a man following another man, the outdoors, day, night -- everything. It's a simple story summarized pretty much in the tagline for the movie -- man gets revenge for those who killed his girlfriend -- but as with all films, everything is about _how_ the director carries out the plot. This is excellently done. The barrage of colour and fast images, out of focus and then in, far away and then close-up -- and one leading to another. I particularly liked how the shiny bouquets of line-lights in the strip club led to images of fireworks. It's not haphazard, as some other reviewers have said. It's all connected, showing the mind of a man in pain, desperate, sad, angry, directionless.

No dialogue. Boring. Badly filmed. Apart from that an utter masterpiece.

I didn't actually watch since if you steal the name of your movie banking on "oh, nobody will notice we lifted our movie name from one of the greatest rock bands in modern history", you don't deserve people to watch your movie.

Shoulda woulda. Missed opportunities a constant throughout this film Save your time for better things.
