The art work is wonderful. The music is great. The Characters are lovable. It is a good story about being careful and thinking before you act. Yes, it has a moral or a few. Yes, it may be politically correct. No, I do not agree with that are just because they are. This is a beautiful movie, not because of the message about huning. Just because it is a good movie. It is a movie to enjoy just as a good movie. Why do we have to look for hidden messages every time a movie comes out. I have already pre-ordered it so I can see it again, and again. It is everything that is good about animated movies. Disney is back. They had an excellent year even if some people are really too blind to see it.

This has the feel of a film that had too many people trying to steer. The story of a young hunter humbled into becoming the thing he hunts is a classic kind of story, however in the hands of the the people who made this film it didn't seem to know what kind of story it is. Its it serious? The what are the Moose doing in the film? Is it a comedy? Some of what happens is pretty dark. The sequences unto themselves are very good but they don't seem to truly hang together and every gain a scene has is lessened by the next scene not quite fitting. Granted, I'm not the target audience, animation junkies rarely are, but as one of Disney's "last" traditionally animated films I'm disappointed.

I love this movie. It is a Disney animation movie and very touching film too. The Ice Age, there were three brothers. One day, the youngest brother, Kanai mad to a bear which took foods from him. So, Kanai tried to hit that bear hardly. However, he was attacked by this bear in adversely.　Then the oldest brother, Sitka helps Kanai but he lost his life. After that Kenai kills the bear in revenge, only to be transformed into a bear himself. Next, the middle brother, Denami comes up this bear (Kanai) and, he is misunderstanding it killed Kenai, he vows revenge. After that Kanai meets a little bear, Koda. Kanai and Koda take advancer together then they experience a lot of things together…… I saw this in the USA, and then at that time I had left from my real family for about a year. So, this film's theme, I mean the plot made me to think what family is very deeply. Also, the cinematography is dynamic, beautiful and matches the mood of the score.

This film is brilliant and is full of emotion all of the way through it which helps when you are able to connect to each of the different characters. The humour is also well done and doesn't take away from the movie at all and helps to keep this nice and light when it is needed. Amazing film and one I will always recommend

Even if you are not keen on hand-drawn animation,you'll get involved by this movie. Brother Bear tells a story of an impulsive and grumpy boy who is tranformed into a bear and have to learn how to live in it's shoes. His adventure trying to be tranformed back into a human is full of humorus momentos but also with drama that can generate empathy and makes you think about your lifestory, brotherhood and love. This is not a smash hit, but for sure it's a must-see for Disney fans. (Flávio)

Two Thumbs Up to Disney for this great little story that is appealing to all generations! The story is spellbinding, extremely interesting, and a delight to watch. It is the ageless story of man screwing up against Mother Nature, Mother Nature causing him to regret it, and the man finding himself at long last. A twist in the story is that it brings the man love from a small bear cub that he hurt without ever realizing it. I was very happy to see this movie, and it was well worth the money I spent on it. The music was good, too, and the animation breath-taking, but most of all, it will leave you with important lessons that will chill and haunt you.
