This is another buddy comedy with Steve Martin, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. In this case, the buddy, Charlene, is an escaped convict who needs Peter to help prove she was innocent all alone. Of course, Peter wants her out from the beginning, but then grows to like Charlene and he helps her out. Some of the jokes just fell flat, but some worked. The fight between Charlene and Ashley in the country club bathroom was very funny. Also, when Betty White walks in on Pete and Charlene on the couch. And the comments Peter's friend makes about Charlene because he thinks she's hot. One bad point is this movie relies heavily on racist stereotypes for laughs. Betty White, the neighbor, makes several racist comments. And Peter asks Charlene to wear a maid outfit when his big money client, Mrs, Arness, comes over for dinner. FINAL VERDICT: I thought this was funny enough to recommend it. It is a lot better than most comedies now days.
