With the current 4.8 rating here, I'm becoming increasingly disappointed with overall IMDB user reviews, which are showing an entire generation that is becoming so immersed in fast-action, CGI-heavy films that they can no longer appreciate a good, basic story line. This film isn't the best ever made, but it deserves better than the low score we see here. It is difficult to review this film without spoilers, so what can be safely reviewed is the cinematography (quite beautiful), the sets (done well enough for a sci fi film), the acting (decent on the part of all actors), the music score (which fits well with the story), and the story-line itself... which holds together from the beginning to the end. That story may be a bit over the head of some viewers (quantum entanglement, light / time relationship and universal harmonics), so perhaps that's why some didn't like it. But this is science fiction-- and one should expect a bit of science. In all the entire film holds together, tells the story, end of show. If there is any flaw in the show it is the paradox of complex concepts mixed with a film that overall is not fleshed out well enough (thus my rating of 7 rather than higher). They really needed to provide a bit more closure in the last 20 minutes, needed to end it tighter, needed to tie a few strings together (even if they're unnecessary to the overall plot). The relationship between the two main scientists needed to be better-developed, and the romantic relationship better evolved so the viewer can relate better to the two main characters. All films have their flaws. But despite those flaws the story is decent, the time-travel theme is neither boring nor ridiculous (as we see in so many such films), and the movie has an actual ending rather than just leaving the audience up in the air. These days, that alone deserves a few stars. ;D.

We follow a man who is experiencing time out of order with the movie following is personal chronology. It's not a terrible, but it's got the usual indie movie problems of being poorly paced, poor quality and predictable. The structure of the film means that the audience is it intentionally confused when it starts but the improved clarity over time doesn't improve the quality of the tale. The bit with the spiral was creative but feels like something that would work far better in a written format where we have the characters inner monologue. If you want an interesting time travel indie movie, check out time lapse. If you want to see this concept, try Time Traveller's Wife.

It's a curious movie that's drags you along giving you enough clues to keep wondering. And that's great. It's got a plot twist that answers some of the questions - good. It even has a love story, albeit very weak, that's required to solve the puzzle. The acting was fine. If I don't notice the acting then it passes the sniff test and this one did. The cinematography quality was low. The plot needed to be bought into but had some holes and then grew too big for its britches. Reflecting on it only makes it worse. Lots of unanswered questions that likely need a second viewing but I may never find them. I.e. Saving the world first assumes stopping an atomic war because we keep seeing mushroom clouds. The generals add to that impression. But no, it's not just the world but the whole universe. But I digress, and so does the film. It's a nice yarn for SF lovers, I guess, but clearly the writers found no need to tie up loose ends and the amnesia onset isn't displayed well. This movie may may you fed up with memory loss and time travel plot devices.

I give this 7/10 in the indie sci-fi sub-genre. Being a low budget indie, I overlook cheaper special effects and lack of A-list actors. I grade more on story and engagement. The movie had an intriguing start. What happened to the Liam? Why was the nurse withholding information? Where was he? Why was he skipping between alternate realities? Who is the old guy that looks like a Monk? The movie revealed the story at a pace that kept me engaged. I like a 'heady sci-fi' and this had all the pieces. Some good little twists along the way including the identity of the old man and what he was doing. My favorite actor was Zed Josef who played the assistant. The other actors were good too but something about Zed drew me in. There were a few things I wish they would have done better. I believe they were going for a Nolan-type movie but it fell a bit short of that. Still very good though. 1) I found there was a lack of chemistry between Liam and Emma. Both are good at acting...but I had a hard time believing their connection for some reason. Emma seemed more concerned for his well-being than as a love connection. And when they kissed is was those pecks on the lips I give my grandma. A bit more believable passion please. Also, the very last line in the elevator, she should have been genuinely shocked instead of a pleasant smile. 2) At times it jumped around a bit too much. A little less of that and more development in each scene perhaps. 3) But my biggest problem was the ending. Yes, I liked that they wrapped it up nicely. But I felt that the protagonist didn't have to try hard enough for it. It kind of just fell in his lap and he made an easy choice and credits roll. What I wanted to see was Liam figuring out that he could make a choice but it only mattered at one exact point in time. And he should have had to struggle and maybe do something special in 4 different time zones to make it happen. Perhaps he had to trick someone in one time to get a piece of information in another and hide the special something in the past so it would be in the present for where it all came together. As it was, he simply decided to hit 'stop' on his iPad and happy ending. But it didn't feel deserved so my dopamine didn't fire like it should have. Overall...a very interesting movie and I can easily overlook the few flaws. Well done. But it could have been much better with a little more effort and an extra 10 minutes in the third act.

Warning - I only got 15 minutes through this till I decided it was no longer worth my time so bear that in mind. A cool concept maybe but it literally has so many jumps between different scenes it's confusing, but not interesting. You're given nothing on the characters to make you interested either, the actors have no real chance to show any personality. It starts off in a treatment facility of some kind, and rather than building the interest takes you out of that space, the moment the movie starts to build interest it jumps away from the interest and starts again The only good thing is the look of the film.

The rating is fake. Not sure how it was >6 as there was no point to the plot. I regret spending time watching this movie, the acting was terrible, there was no chemistry between the main characters who supposedly have a relationship, and the solution to overcome the time warp to unstuck time was ridiculous. Not in some cool hollywood sci-fi solution. I am glad I did not pay for this movie, other than wasting my time and watching the 45 second preview commercial amazon is not adding to prime content. As a spoiler, when the female doctor tells the main charater that he had hit on her, it was absurd as she did not have any sex appeal and has he personality of a snail. Don't watch this movie, you aren't missing anything other than giving up 90 minutes of your life that you will wish you could get back.

Firstly, do not believe the 10/10 or 9/10 reviews for this movie: it is a low-budget, poorly-acted, and directed, movie with low-quality props that were supposed to give the illusion of a new and radical method to travel through time. There is no chemistry between the two main characters (Liam and Emma): they come across as unsuited to each other and one questions why Zoe Cunningham was cast in the female protagonist lead role to begin with - oh, wait, she was one of the producers, that must explain it... Apart from the laughably poor 'acting' by Zoe Cunningham, it was the prop used to represent the control panel for the incredible 'time machine': what looked like a Betamax A/B offline editor with only the power chord plugged into it despite it being easily discernable that the 'control panel' had numerous inputs and outputs that were simply going unused. How did the control panel actually control anything? Maybe this was one of the 'sci-fi' elements the director and producers wished to get across - machinery that operates entirely wirelessly even though the Garret character had to refer to his analogue wristwatch to time events... laughable at best. And the Garret character themselves: every sentence ended with 'mate'. Every sentence! Now, I am Australian and we do use the word 'mate' a lot, but even we do not finish every utterance with 'mate'. The movie is a joke and not worth your valuable time. The only grace was that Jonny Phillips who played 'Carter' looked like he knew what he was doing even if that character was pretty stereotypical.

Rating based on entertainment value not on production extravaganza. Giving it a 9 instead of a 10 only because of the lack of production extravaganza. After all production extravaganza adds to the entertainment value of a production. Plus contributes to the required character count by using phrases in multiple instances using extravaganza four times. Anyway while not big budget extravagant the acting and directing are good and the characters are engaging with good chemistry between the likeable leads. Intriguing premise aptly brought to the screen on an obvious shoe-string budget. Enjoyable satisfying.

I enjoy sci fi. It's my favourite genre. I even enjoy bad sci fi. But this movie takes bad to a whole new level. I could only manage watching half this movie. There may very well have been a logical ending tying in all the confusing bits, but the monotonous pace of the first half made it seem unlikely. Nobody is acting, they're simply reading their scripts. The ever present clipboard must have been helpful for the doctor in learning her lines. There's no character development. There's certainly no action. Do yourself a favour and go watch 2012 again. At least that movie is good for a laugh.

This is one of those smartly written, low budget sci fi films that tackles a big concept on a small budget. The mystery and relationship are interesting and compelling. I was surprised by the twists, but I never felt lost. The acting, writing and direction are all very good. I don't post very often and only when I really like (or dislike) something, and so I was genuinely surprised by the negativity in some of the posts. Maybe it comes down to expectations. This is not an action film. It's a quiet, thoughtful sci fi story with a good little mystery and a nice human relationship at its heart. I enjoyed it.
