A lot of people here are bashing this stand up, claiming Saget's gratuitous use of the F word is to show he is not the same character on Full House. Saget has been doing stand up like this for decades. His jokes were really off the cuff and seem to be just flowing out of his head. He interacts with the audience a lot and if you allow yourself to be bombarded by this stream of consciousnesses/ stream of vulgarity and gross out humor you will enjoy the ride. I would give it a solid 7.5/10. He really has a unique way of doing stand up, and if you think his "jokes" from full house were funny then you should probably not see this special because this is real humor, a comedian's humor.

I'm not against cussing as much as you want but this is awful... his whole comedy is him forcing out as many cuss words as possible like he wants put to see him other than the full house dad but he over does it so much its crazy.... never have i seen something so stupid has to be the most cuss words ever said in within the length of time ever. and the whole problem is it isn't funny just forced constant cuss words to prove he isn't a nice guy... i know lots of people like different things but i don't see how anyone can enjoy this garbage you can tell he is a decent actor and possibly comedian and how he even thought this would make good for TV or movies i don't possibly know

OK, So yesterday night i had some drinks and i had a very good evening. Suddenly out of nowhere Bob Saget was on TV and we had to watch it but damn, That wasn't funny at all! It was rather disturbing/disgusting. We kept watching though, Cause this show is like a car accident: Its absolutely horrible but its hard to look away. What really amazed me is that there were actually people laughing in the audience. I mean if it was ANYONE but Bob Saget talking about his sexual adventures with animals/vampires/daughters or his daughters friends, NOBODY would be laughing, This basically shows the intelligence of people these days The thing is, This comedy show didn't contain any jokes, It was just some guy talking about his perverted messed up life, I actually felt a bit sorry for him. But i respect bob saget he always made me laugh when i was 8 years old, too bad i grew up, Maybe its time for Bob Saget to do that as well. This show was absolutely horrible, But i suggest you watch it so you can see for yourself what happened to our society!

I was debating whether or not to click the 'contains spoiler' checkbox, but then it occurred to me that it is simply impossible to spoil something that has no redeeming qualities. I'm no prude, and I love stand up, but this was just a total mess. It reminded me of the foul-mouthed bum who hangs out by my local supermarket... no theme, no jokes, no comic timing.. just an unrelenting stream of gibberish interspersed with vulgarity for attempted shock value. Watching this I was wondering if he's actually spent time to write any material or whether he just walked on stage and spat out whatever nonsense came into his head. I think the latter. This has nothing to do with comedy whatsoever. If you want to see funny, watch one of the roasts that Comedy Central played the same day... equally vulgar but actually containing jokes. You know the kind: "Bob Saget was so remarkably unfunny that his mother in the audience asked for a refund".

This is absolutely the worst stand up routine I have ever heard. He didn't tell even one joke over the the entire one hour special. He has no punchlines, he just whispers "my *" under his breath, and then says "what is that?". Then he says "no, don't do that f**ked up s**t!" Then repeats that 25 times. How does he have a comedy central special? I don't even think he knows. He asks the audience to stop laughing more than a few times, because they don't know what to laugh at (there is nothing to laugh at). All of his anecdotes include some reference to sex, and it is not tasteful at all. He makes creepy sexual references his young daughters, and AAAAAAAARRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to see a comic swear his a** off, watch Louis C.K.'s 'Chewed Up'. That is some quality s**t. P.S. "My dog licked my balls" F******************k!?!?!?!

This is my first time seeing Bob Saget in something other than America's Funniest Home Videos and Full House. He wasn't funny on those shows and he isn't funny on this one. I have often wondered how he has a career. His timing is off for the entire show. There is no sense of tension and release in this show and he resorts to 12 year old potty humor for most of the show. I guess if you're 12, this might be funny, unless you are an intelligent 12 year old. "My Dog Licked My Balls" is just, well, stupid. I have to say, I was expecting and hoping for his redeeming himself as a good comedian after the bad comedy of Full House and Funniest Videos, but was disappointed.

...because that was how it was for years. He was the butt of a lot of jokes after he took on America's Funniest Home Videos. His complete "world's greatest dad" persona, Full House, all of the sketchy and lame jokes he told. I got it. Some of you did not, however. If you all missed the point that he was creating, quite brilliantly, I might add, a cult of Danny Tanner on purpose, I feel for ya. Every time this guy told one of his lame jokes, or would have to smile like a paralyzed idiot for the camera, I could see him laughing inside, as if he were thinking, "you f**king losers!" And when he'd have to pretend that cats attempting to flush toilets was the most hilarious thing he'd ever witnessed, I could have sworn he was thinking: "Run that clip of the toddler falling off the trampoline again." Come on, people, lighten up. He had to deal with that crap for years. So, yes, I quite enjoyed seeing him lash out a bit and being ridiculous. I am sure he needed it. And for what it is worth, it wasn't that bad. He's no pro at stand-up, but he did a pretty solid job. It was funnier than not. And that is more than I can say for a Dane Cook. I enjoyed it. I recommend it.

I actually was rather amused by this special. Many people think Bob Saget was going with the vulgarity to show he's not Danny Tanner from Full House. However, he's been doing this kind of comedy for years. His 1990 HBO special's stand segment didn't have as much profanity, but both shows had the same sort of humor, stream of consciousness flow and weird non sequiturs... and a few of the same jokes. Overall, I prefer this special to the old one simply because it doesn't have the dopey framing skits. I did enjoy the last two of his three songs and much of the humor and jokes. Overall, not my favorite special ever but it has a rewatchalibity factor.

I was a little shocked. I expected some bad language, but Bob had his vulgarity meter on overload. In this 55 minute HBO Comedy Special, he probably used the F-word at least 200-300 times. It was almost like Bob was trying too hard to shed his TV father image. To me though, this hurt the first part of his act, because he just wasn't funny. For a while, I was wondering if he was drunk or high on something, because he was rambling incoherently. The audience clapped, but I can't figure out why. I have no problem with using bad language, but I think it should at least be in a funny context. This was just cussing for the sake of cussing. Later in the show, he actually got into more joke telling, including telling some funny stories from his time on Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos. Bob closed the show with a pair of songs. The first one was more vulgar for the sake of vulgar, while the second one, "Danny Tanner Was Not Gay," was actually pretty funny.
