Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (2012) is a movie I recently watched on Shudder. The storyline follows a group of campers who head out to a Bible camp by a lake where a mass murder happened 30 years ago. Could the original killer make a reappearance? This movie is directed by Vito Trabucco (Henchman: The Al Leong Story) and stars Reggie Bannister (Phantasm), Tim Sullivan (Detroit Rock City), Ron Jeremy (54), Ivet Corvea (Run! Bitch! Run!) and Gigi Bannister (Bubba Ho-Tep). This movie is a little like Hatchet where it doesn't take itself too seriously. The script and dialogue in this is fun and there's a trivia scene that's hilarious. The kill scenes start slow but get better the last 45-60 minutes. Theres plenty of blood splatter and a few scenes with some worthwhile gore. Oh, and this movie gets .5 points for who they cast as Jesus. Overall this is a very average addition to the horror genre with a few worthwhile lines and scenes. I would score this a 5.5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

But I love bad Jesus jokes and fun horror! The opening line is amazing and it continues with the fun jokes all the way through! I would totally watch it again and am sad that I didn't find out about this movie sooner.

Well this one begins nicely, with some stupid dialogue, a bit of skin, lots of fake blood, more skin, more blood. It's pretty nice. Starting out around 7/10 as opening credits roll!!! But the rest of the movie doesn't really make the score worthwhile. A bit more skin and blood and a couple of witty comments. But overall it's really rather dull. 4/10.

Fine comic sex and gore during the titles. Dull silliness for most of the rest. FINALLY picks up at the end with a surprise appearance that saves the campiness of the camp's events and conspicuously atrocious acting.

This might be too goofy to get a higher rating, but it does a damned fine job of what it aims at. The people behind it must have watched every slasher film between 1974-1989. They knew all the camera angles, they knew the soft targets to make fun of. Including having the soundtrack be out of sync for the 1978 scenes. The humor is juvenile, but it is funny. A parody that will make the humorless complain about it being cheesy because they won't get it. But if you also watched a lot of slasher films...... This is how you make a dumb film intelligently.

This actually had a lot of promise i think. The intro is great, and gives that great 80's slasher feel. But it totally falls flat as the film plays out. The camera-work and lighting is awful, and the actors, although they are supposed to be bad, are worse then to make the point of making a 80's rip off. The effects are hilarious and fun though. From the mid i had to just fast forward through it.

It's tromaesque punk humour and of the average-good kind this time in my opinion. Anyway, long story short; Ten Star killer guise, Nine Star gore, Three Star acting, Two Star cinematography and Three Star cameo by you'll predict it ten minutes in. May watch again. Cheap, but cheerful. Just like me :-)
