Not a half bad movie. No...it's not your "typical" vampire movie with action and slick, sexy characters, but it does the job well enough. Kind of a cool and different take on what was smuggled during prohibition. The acting (in places) was terrible, but the movie is good enough that it doesn't deserve such low ratings.

Right of the bat, i could not tell if this was prohibition 2020 or the 1920s. Getting mixed signal about that direction there. You also get to meet Ice T with a big fat diamond earring which i guess men back then wear. The dialogue from the first officer yapping away sounds 20th century. The editing where the singer performs one song had multiple annoying dissolves. And then we are back to the past when the waitress talks with 1920s accent. Confused... could not watch it. Oh don't forget the vampire who did the matrix move in the bed scene. Now if this movie is told and shot and edited.. in the classic way, i bet there is a descent movie in there somewhere. I have to fail this one. Next project please

Something I really liked about this film was that they came up with some fresh and original ideas in the midst of a small-time vampire flick. Ever wondered what happens if a vampire turns into a flick of critters, and a few of the critters get killed? Ever thought about using a rosary to deliver a knuckle-duster to a fanged-face? In addition to decent acting and some complex characters, the original twists made this a very enjoyable escape...

A dirty cop starts to believe that his town is controlled by a group of vampires. I try not to take this kind of movies too serious, and you shouldn't either.

This movie was definitely not my cup of tea. In fact, I only managed to endure 50 minutes of the ordeal before I turned it off out of complete and utter boredom. There simply was nothing interesting to the storyline, nor the characters, and I quickly lost interest in the movie, but still, I opted to give it a chance and managed to endure 50 minutes. But the movie was just lacking on all fronts, and there was nothing entertaining here for me. Initially, when I saw that it was Ice T that was on the cast list, I was ready to skip on the movie. Yeah, I can't claim to be much of a fan of him neither in movies nor music. But still, it was a vampire movie, so I decided to watch it. But turned out that the vampire aspect was a mere backdrop to the movie. I am rating "Bloodrunners" three out of ten stars, solely because it did have some adequate production value. But for terms of entertainment, then this movie failed to provide any for me.

In a popular speakeasy, Jack Malone, a dirty cop, haunted by nightmares of war, finds a new location to shake down. But there's a presence within the walls of the club, run by Chesterfield, played by Ice-T. When Malone comes to collect his "luxury tax" he and his partner incite a small war against a den of vampires. The movie is amazing, the style is sweet and the costume design is on point- I loved it all! The originality is what really keeps this movie entertaining. Running blood, a much-craved liquid via the underground, by vamps, is a pretty wild idea, making Bloodrunners and exciting surprise and electrifying! Other than watching a vampire get staked in the shoulder, but later spotted with it in the center of his chest, I found nothing wrong with the movie. It's classy, well put together and the special effects are vigorous and enjoyable. Take a look at Bloodrunners, releasing later in 2017.

The film takes place in 1933 Southampton, N.J. during prohibition. The police receive regular kickbacks and benefits from the various speakeasy's and cat houses. Based on a true story except for the vampire stuff and when the kid anachronistically said "Easy Peasy." And by true I mean 1933 and cops existed as does Southampton. The film takes a while to develop but is basically vampires vs.cops. The vampires are lead by Ice-T and the cops by Michael McFadden. The film has good characters and dialogue except for when Chris James Boylan anachronistically said "Easy Peasy." An easy to watch popcorn film. Guide: F-word, sex, nudity (Playboy model Tammy Jean who played Miss January in the film "Miss December." )

Set in 1930s prohibition, a corrupt cop discovers that the popular speakeasy in town has been infiltrated by vampires. The story was unique since it's in the 30s and there are vampire but these vampires are gangsters and very careful. The acting well Micheal McFadden character was good corrupt cop who came from war and the only thing he thinks about is drinking, Ice-Tea well he can do better, this role was not suitable for him unfortunately. The script was good it was like they were not acting but talking real. The directing well action scenes were ridiculous so much, no visual effects, but the outfits and environment were nice although there were not too many places to shoot in the film.

Not enough Vampire action to be considered a "true" vampire movie, but there was a decent story about corruption, gangsters, prohibition, prostitutes and young lovers. I'd say it is more of a thriller with vampires than a pure horror flick. None the less, it is noble effort. Worth mentioning - the sets, props and costumes are pretty impressive for such a low budget.

Was this produced by a middle school student? The cinematography and editing is below elementary. The plot was, well I'm not sure there was a plot. I struggled to get through this, waiting for it all to come together. How did Ice-T get involved with this film? Extremely disappointed.
