That very thought was going through my head when I rented this cinematic excrement. Nazis are my favourite bad guys and this seemed like a promising take on a good formula. In short, the story was vapid and the acting was awful. They threw in some sex to titillate, but all it did was make me angry. The mad doctor is over the top yet not in a good way and he was stupid to boot. The lead Nazi was an acceptable villain, but only because his acting was not painful and he was a Nazi. The heroine seemed rather one dimensional and devoid of life (which I think was the "actress'" fault rather than the writers' or even intentional). The heroine, by the way, never actually wears those painted on "pants". Ever. Sorry. This movie is neither bad enough to be good nor is it passable as late night brain dead viewing. I should have known to save my $1.02 when I saw the cover. What can I say: I have a weakness for dead Nazis and shapely hips.

OK so when i say best of the 3, you will probably think this dosen't mean much as the first 2 where going from barely acceptable(BR1) to a piece of garbage(BR2). But this film is way better, at least it try to capture more of the original game.
I am an huge fan of the games, so i will review this title as a game adaptation.
First of all, Rayne. OK she is not like she should be still, but there is major improvement on her look. Her costume look better than in the second film, she dosen't have the red hair but at least have red part... The way her costume is made, she seem to have much bigger * which is a good point, and altought i am disappointed she used ordinary sword instead of the trademark sword of the game, at least she do use sword(second movie was all about guns) I still think Natassia(a good actress that i really like) is not meant to be Rayne but Mynce(even tough she never appeared in the movies) Rayne should be like a bright red hair version of Magda of this movie for example. She is supposed to have green eyes, look more European than Asian.
Fight scenes are correct, nothing exceptional but not bad either.
Story, well its correct, wish it could have been closer to the game too, but well, we will settle with this i guess. It was entertaining enough so i could have fun trough it.
OVERALL, this is still a direct to DVD Boll Product, so its low budget, its Boll... lol what can i say, BR was i guess never big enough to have a big Hollywood block buster movie. I don't know why they never wanted to do it with the game setting. Same costume, same look, same characters and stories. Of course twickle it, but still use the game overall style.
Anyway i guess having this is still better than nothing, and like i said this movie redeem a little bit the 2 previous bad movies made about BR.
And to finish, Rayne using a little bit of her "trash talk" is really good to see, this is from the game at least, and Natassia * scene was ....huuuum delicious.

Oh my god! What went wrong here? The first "Bloodrayne" movie was actually quite good. Then part 2 came out, and it was a notch down the ladder. Now this "Bloodrayne: The Third Reich" is out, and it is about to hit rock bottom! The story in the movie is actually good enough, most parts of it anyway. There were certain aspects of the movie that was just too corny and too unnecessary.
Alright, well lets delve into the acting. For most parts the acting was good enough, but then in the opposite end there was so really horrendous acting as well. Clint Howard (playing doctor Mangler), words doesn't even begin to describe his performance. It was like watching a leech trying to scale a wall, it was dull and uninspiring. The lead role of Rayne, was played by Natassia Malthe. Her acting was adequate, but come on, we all know why she was hired for this. She is hot and kicks ass, and that pretty much sums it up.
Set in the period of the 1940's, during World War II, you are wondering why the Germans in the movie are all speaking English. I hate that in movies, get into character and have the Germans speak German. It just works on a grander scale. Having them speak semi-broken English with a flatulent accent, not so much. That really brought the movie down a notch for me.
Something else that brought down the movie, was Rayne's costume. Now, sure it was stunningly hot and sexy. But this is the 1940's, no one wore that kind of outfit back then, vampire or human! That was just over the top, and it really brought the movie down. It was out of place and time! Don't just have a costume in a movie because it looks hot, it is just too lame! As for the German's costume, well hats off for that, lots of nice touches and details there. So that worked well enough.
Another thing that shouldn't have made it to the movie was the lesbian love scene. Come on! Most people don't want to watch that! It was too much! And again, this was the 1940's, I am pretty sure people weren't open-minded as people are today. Again, it just seemed out of place and almost turned the movie into a soft-core *. That was just too much!
One thing that did work for the movie, however, was the sets and the details put into the sets. It was like I would believe the 40's Germany would be like, and the emotional state that the country had would be like.
For a movie in the Bloodrayne legacy, Uwe Boll managed to take that whole concept and totally screw it up. The end result of this movie was bad! I didn't even make it to the end. I gave up about two-thirds into the movie. I was fed up with its tacky nonsense. And I had looked forward to this, liking the first part, so I thought it had to be better than part 2, but no, I was disappointed.
Uwe Boll have some good movies to his name, and also some bad movies; "Bloodrayne: The Third Reich" adds to the list of bad movies! If you like watching a woman in hot (totally out of the time period) costume and with way too much cleavage going on, then this movie might be something for you though.

I have seen the first two Bloodrayne movies, which were both disappointing, and this one was just as awful.
This chapter in the BloodRayne series takes place during World War 2, which was the same timeline the BloodRayne video game Series started, so it does have that going for it. Sadly, the movies suffers from the classic case of what I like to call "The Uwe Boll Flush" - Making a poor movie version of a great video game.
The acting in this film is sub-par, the worst of it coming from the heroine Rayne, played by Natassia Malthe. Although she is quite stunning, she can't quite seem to pull off playing the popular vampire very well.
****WARNING: Two Spoilers Below**** Another issue I have is for the Sex Scenes: Yes, watching two women have sex is quite a site to behold, and normally I'd be singing praise for it, but in this movie, it seemed unnecessary, and the movie would've been SLIGHTLY better without it.
The ending was also sub-par and rushed. Rayne and one of her companions we're captured and we're being escorted to Hitler. Along the way, there was a sex scene between the two captives (again unnecessary), and afterwards, they we're rescued very easily - TOO EASILY. The rest of the movie just ends awkwardly after that.
The major issue with the movie is that Uwe Boll has yet to read up on Vampire Folklore - Rayne is Half-Vampire (a Dhampir). Most of the scenes happen during the Daytime. A Dhampir is STILL Vulnerable to Daylight, yet Rayne receives no damage at all from the sun in any part of this movie.
****End of Spoilers**** This movie has more problems than the last two, and it just doesn't take itself seriously enough to be enjoyable. Uwe Boll took something unpolished, added some unnecessary sex scenes, gave it a title and told us to like it.
If you enjoy watching these kind of movies and don't care how weak the plot is, then this movie is for you.
If you are the kind of person who enjoys watching real movies, you can skip this one.

Joining up with allies in WWII Germany, the half-human/half-vampire finds that one of her victims was a Nazi officer now bestowed with her powers and intends to use them in a plot to make Hitler immortal.
An incredibly enjoyable and entertaining entry to an already fun and entertaining series, though this one doesn't reach the heights of the original. Still, this contains enough bloodshed, gore-drenched slaughters, limb-ripping and throat-slicing to give it a try, as there's a ton of blood in this including the other tortures inflicted on the vampires which adds more bloodshed. That's due to a high number of action scenes here as the confrontations with the different groups lead to a number of ambushes, firefights and martial arts displays that make for a pretty enjoyable time. As well, the increased amount of nudity certainly helps this one along, and altogether with a fast pace and enjoyable, simple story it gets a lot of good grace, only with the nagging problem of it's way too short running time to count as any sort of real flaw here. This is quite a bit of fun overall.
Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, Nudity and several intense lesbian sex scenes.

This was obviously film-making under pressure. If I hadn't heard the director mention on the DVD's audio commentary that there was lack of time and money, I'd still have noticed it easily from the quality jumps. At the beginning, you think this is going to be "Schindler's List II" or something like that, slowly enough building up the atmosphere before it's unfortunately too rushed afterwards. There are some brilliant scenes, my favorite is when the doctor says about the vampire: "This creature no longer has any bond to the moral laws of Man" - while he is just cutting him (it?) to pieces alive! That tells you more about what inhuman means than some highly acclaimed movies did: inability to realize how evil it all really is. However, there are some downfalls after that, especially the fight scenes are less spectacular than some in the previous two movies, and Bloodrayne's character isn't developed much, pretty much a ball in a pinball machine, same player shoots again... Actually the bad guys are more interesting, especially the lieutenant who is in doubt whether he should follow the doctor and the commandant, afraid they might turn him into a vampire, too. I voted 7-7-6 for the three movies.

I eagerly anticipated watching this movie, as I do all of Boll's projects, and I must say it was worth the wait, well worth it! Definitely one of Boll's finest projects to date. I won't go into the storyline as I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. Just watching this movie is time well spent if you enjoy an excellent storyline and superb acting. I have always been a huge fan of Natassia Malthe and needless to say, she did not disappoint. She was in top form and as always, it was a pleasure to watch her work. I am also a big fan of Clint Howard as I have followed almost all of his work in his brilliant 48 year acting career. As with Malthe, Howard performed brilliantly. The rest of the cast gave outstanding performances as this movie was a true joy to watch. All around, it was excellent in every aspect and is a movie I will enjoy watching again and again. I would definitely recommend this title to anyone who enjoys excellent films and top notch acting with a world class director in Boll at the helms. Well done!

In the World War II, the Damphir Rayne (Natassia Malthe) fights against Nazis and joins the resistance lead by Nathaniel Gregor (Brendan Fletcher). When they attack a train expecting to find weapons, they find people that are going to concentration camp.
Rayne is shot by a soldier and her blood drops on the face of Commandant Ekart Brand (Michael Paré ). She kills him but he turns into a powerful vampire. Now Rayne need to fix the problem, otherwise Hitler may achieve her power with the research of Doctor Mangler (Clint Howard).
"Bloodrayne: The Third Reich" is a low budget movie by Uwe Boll with the combination of vampires, Nazis and eroticism that does not work well. The body of the sexy Natassia Malthe is exposed in a silly exploitation. My vote is four.

So many sequels fail to live up to their predecessors, but BloodRayne 3 is actually far better than previous installments. The first too films were a little bit too polite, too childish. To the contrary this one is, well one serious mother***. For sure Uwe Boll is more efficient in straight-to-DVD releases, he can allows himself to go for more gore and hot stuff. . Bloodrayne 3 offers pseudo documentary, gorilla filming style and it sets the dark mood of World War II very good. What you won't see in this movie is a bunch of wooden stakes being pounded into hearts or garlic being waved in a pointy toothed person's face. Instead you have be-headings, knife stabbing and a lot of cool deaths. If you're just looking for some fun in a dark, disturbed world of Rayne, heavy metal loving gods, BloodRayne 3 delivers. Oh - and, you won't believe it unless you see it - a scene with Rayne fighting Hitler!!! How cool is that!!!
