an awful Al Adamson movie with a bunch of Z list Western actors and singers, almost no exploitation value, and the Ritz Brothers doing very unfunny comic "relief". The story is about 3 stewardesses who go to a ranch to party at the opening of a casino. One of the girls almost gets caught up in a prostitution ranch, and they end up meeting an undercover agent who is investigating robbery attempts on slot machines. How the Ritz Brothers ended up in this 1970s T&A film is probably a more interesting story than the movie itself. I didn't laugh more than 2 or 3 times during the film though, and none of them were because of the Ritz Bros. Red Barry is the only Western actor in the film who has any real popularity. He's sadly wasted in this one. The presence of Yvonne DeCarlo might excite some TV fans, but in this film basically she was supposed to be much sexier than she was, plus we had to sit through an excruciatingly bad song routine.

Scattershot movie made to capitalize on the "success" of "The Naughty Stewardesses". Rather painful to watch in spots, such as Yvonne De Carlo singing and the Ritz Brothers dancing!!! Nowhere near as good as "Naughty" was, with no real story. Regina Carrol's voice was grating and very annoying, not sure if she was dubbed or not, if she wasn't she sure gave one horrible performance here. Appearance of the Ritz Brothers was funny in spots, but their dance routine was an embarrassment. Expected more nudity from an Al Adamson film, especially from the 3 female leads. On the DVD audio commentary Sam Sherman said at one stage Adamson wanted out of the project. It's too bad he didn't decide to go ahead with it. Connie Hoffman looks awesome, as she did in "Naughty", and Marilyn Joi and Regina Carrol also look great, but that would really be the only reason to watch this. Recommended only for fans of Al Adamson. Rating: 5 out of 10

Never before have I contemplated suicide until I saw this movie. It seemed like a skin flick that never got started. This film wasted 95 minutes of my life that I will NEVER get back.

Such a paradox can be found in the film BLAZING STEWARDESSES. Even though this picture has low ratings, there is still much to be gained if one enjoys shotty B movies such as this. From the director's note at the beginning which states that this movie is dedicated to the Hollywood actors of the golden era, to the solid five minutes of stock footage concerning parades and rodeos, to Yvonne DeCarlo singing (yep.), to 30 mph car chases, all the way to the genuinely funny antics of the Ritz Brothers, this movie can be entertaining. Note that the movie does not pick up until about 25 minutes in, so be patient! So, for the average movie renter, I say stay away. But, for the hardcore B movie fan, this is a must rent!

Stewardess Regina Carrol, a brunette this time out, goes to a dude ranch with her equally air-headed friends. Ranch owner Robert Livingston wants to bring in gambling; bad guys are after the oil on his land so they hijack his casino equipment and burn his employees with branding irons. Yvonne DeCarlo runs a cat-house and, at one point, breaks into song; her singing is the more criminal offense. The two surviving Ritz Brothers, in the movie's comic "high point," try to hitch a ride by showing their legs. Except for one scene involving a blow-up doll and another of a * woman standing on her head, BLAZING.... could have been rated PG. This boring "comedy" has no laughs whatsoever and is a blatant insult to the Hollywood stunt men to whom it's dedicated. I can't imagine flight attendants being thrilled with it either.

I recently got NAUGHTY STEWARDESSES and BLAZING STEWARDESSES from a on-line rental service and decided to recreate the Stewardesses Drive-In double feature. As NAUGHTY is more of a exploitation film, BLAZING is actually a throw back to the old REPUBLIC and MONOGRAM Saturday afternoon B westerns starring John Wayne, Gene Autry, and Roy Rogers. In fact, if you took out the sex scenes, it would be no more harmful than an old B western. The performances are good, especially by Regina Caroll's comic turn. If you thought her film roles only required her to "look pretty and scream a lot" will be surprised by her role in BLAZING. Two of the three Ritz Brothers are in the film as comic relief and they rise up to their task. So, if you like old Drive-In flicks, check out BLAZING STEWARDESSES. You can't go wrong with this one.

I first saw this film during a Saturday matinee at the Pequa Theatre in Massapequa Park, NY. It was on a double bill with "Girls for Rent". Since it was R rated, my friends and I had to sneak in to see it, which made it even tastier. OK....this is a VERY bad film. It will never make any ten best lists, and it probably wouldn't interest 9/10ths of the current population, BUT for lovers of low budget fun this is the proverbial jackpot. Firstly, it features a cast of old timers: Yvonne DeCarlo, Donald "Red" Barry, Bob Livingston, and best of all, the two surviving Ritz Brothers (their brother, Al, had passed away in 1965). It also features musical numbers (Miss DeCarlo sings a HORRIBLE song at a barbecue, and the Ritz's follow her with one of their patented dance numbers.). It also has a western plot right out of Gower Gulch. Cowboys, Arabs, goggle eyed comics, oldtime movie stars, busty broads, and all on a budget 0f less that 70 grand! Brother, this is living!
