The film took far too long to become interesting. Almost an hour goes by before anything really interesting happens. Within that first hour you get implied happenings using camera editing, but that's it. I am not a fan of found footage type of films with its documentary style jerky camera movements. When the action finally begins, it turns into a mix between a DOOM and Resident Evil film but with poorly made CGI. The acting is pretty good and that is one of the pluses this film has going for it. The negative is the poor story and that it doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the PA series of films.

6.5/10. I find most horror films dull and ludicrous. This one was better than most developing a genuine sense of dread. The pay off was as preposterous as one would expect. It's no Blair Witch but it's decent enough.

I thought this was dull and predictable. The acting's OK, but it just turns into a monster movie with a shallow plot. I wasn't convinced by the reasoning behind the story, and there were too many over-used ideas to make it original in any way.

This franchise should've died after the 2nd one. Specially since the moved apart of the original protagonists. It's cashgrab movie don't watch. Has nothing to do with the previous Paranormal Activity movies and no mention of Kate and Hunter either. Complete garbage!! The writer of this movie probably were a Resident Evil Village fan lmao. They seriously need to put an end to this franchise and that should be with Kate the original character.

I think many fans of Paranormal Activity movies will agree with me on that. I think that the main story of those movies should end at some point. It's a nice story but it should not last for ever. The first 3 movies were great. But it's start to became boring at some point. Paranormal Activity 4 it was the worst movie of the franchise. For me... Now lets talk about Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin Personally i found the story good. I really liked this haunted old farm atmosphere. And i loved the church and the cave bellow it. The film had also the classic jumbscares that fans love. But i think they should add more of them. In movie we also see some good disturbing and spooky scences. My favorite was the birth of the two headed lamb. And i think fans will agree with that. I really hope they will make a sequel. The fans deserve it.

Next of Kin follows the docu-horror formula but strays from the Paranormal norm. When adopted girl searches for mom in Amish country, she finds her heritage is slightly more sinister.

I know it wasn't a 10 but a solid 7. You had suspense, horror and a story yes a story in a horror is hard to find. If your a horror fan you'll really appreciate this movie.

I had decent hopes for the latest installment in the Paranormal series. The trailer looked alright, the film seemed to be creepy. I like the concept of the movie. However, it lacked any feeling of dread or fear throughout the entire running. The characters are not all that likeable and even though they have a great environment for scares, they never actually come. It's overall a disappointment.
