When movies usually show people who were in prison as very rough & tough, this one takes us through the actual mindset of such people - lonely, alienated, uninterested in glitz and celebrations.
Mohanlal's character dodges away very smoothly from celebrations and partying even when his close ones force him into it; stays away from boating and riding when his friends play fondly with excitement.
The director also has carefully made it a point on the costumes - Mohanlal who plays Sachidanandan only wears a simple shirt and pant. No watch, no ring, no chain or no other accessories which could add to an added attraction of a normal man.
Good characterization tops the already engaged script. Good watch.

The variety in selection of movies and his characters makes the complete actor the only one KING of the movie industry.
When Lucifer was a political thriller where we see a very serious Mohanlal, we see a comedy lal in Ittymaani Made in China. Now in Big Brother, he is a family man who puts his brothers' safety over everything else. He will next be seen as a historical icon of Kunjali Marakkar in his next. This variety of characters can be performed spectacularly only by this great complete actor! Big Brother is definitely a worth watch in theatres. Best family movie in recent times.

This has to be one of the worst movies of lalettan because there is nothing new in the plot and the execution is even worse. Never expected this from Siddique.

Massive screen presence of Lalettan with his transforming character whose expressions frequently show that he has something to hide. Even though Siddique movies have thriller elements common in them (In Harihar Nagar, Ramjirao speaking), he has taken up a new approach in treating the subject.
