Bhramam is a superb remake of Andhadhun. Casting ,Direction, songs all were brilliant. Much better than maestro. This movie had more humour and more colorfull than the original. Dont compare it to Andhadhun's brilliance, just take it as a new movie in Mollywood and enjoy it.

Had such high expectations for this movie, but ultimately let down in the end.
1. Prithviraj, does a pretty decent job of being the protagonist con man. Although not as convincing as Ayushman, but still a good job from him. He captures the tense and nerve wracking scenes well, but falls behind in the comic scenes.
2. Mamta was an absolute disaster of a cast. To play a role etched in everyone's mind by the brilliant Tabu is no easy task. Mamta is a great actor, but in this movie she lacked the vindictiveness, the cruelty yet mildly seductive tones of her character. There were many instances when her expressions didn't match up to get that impact that we were so familiar too. The murder and cover up sequence of her husband did a poor job of creating that sense of fear and thrill in the audience.
3. Unni Mukundan....why? Understood that there was the need of a brute character and physically he matched up to the role....but acting wise...dint deliver.
4. Jagadeesh... was good. Managed to give a good performance in the limited role he had.
5. Ananya also did a good job. The sequence of her firing at her husband was done pretty well by her albeit a bit weak from mukundan's side.
6. Coming to the biggest disappointment I had, was the background score and the songs. I mean seriously? Andhadhun had such hauntingly beautiful piano pieces and some brilliant music by Amit Trivedi. Bhramam failed horribly in this department with poor attempts at recreating masterpieces like Naina da Kasoor, Laila and Woh Ladki.
7. I was also shocked that the director, being a DOP prior himself, failed to capture the visuals in this remake of a brilliantly directed movie. The Uday Kumar murder scene, the hidden man in the bathroom, the climax...just weren't up to the mark.
All in all, it felt like a deliberate attempt to remake a brilliant movie without paying attention to fine details in acting, music and direction and failing desperately to capture the essence of it all.

A haven't seen Andhadhun yet. Bramam was a dark comedy thriller which has a comic layer also. The main characters have both shades. I felt some logical issues too.
But the climax punch was missing.

I don't understand the point of a scene to scene remake.! N if anybody could have done better with this role it would have been Fahaad Fazil. He would have added a new dimension to this whole movie.! This was a role not really suited to Prithvi.

Felt like a mediocre parody of Andhadhun made in some other language dubbed into Malayalam. It helped me to realise how good Andhadhun was.

Doesn't even deserve 1* Had started watching it with high expectations since the actors Where all quite old and established names.
The opening is not quite bad, but 25 mins into the movie you can clearly see the poor plot and even acting.
Don't know how these actors even agreed to go for such a poor script.
