Movie touched some delicate issues but lingered a lot to getting to the part of revenge.. and revenge was executed quickly.. Movie would have been different if the director and story writer have lingered on the revenge part more Regardless, Sanjay duty gave the outstanding performance which is expected from the outstanding star that he is.

Bhoomi is an action drama revenge movie directed by Omung Kumar and stars Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar, Shekhar Suman, Riddhi Sen, Puru Chibber and Sidhant Gupta. Whenever you hears or reads the name like Omung Kumar directing the movie with Sanjay Dutt, Sharad Kelkar and Shekhar Suman in the star cast you will be super thrilled and excited to watch the movie but in terms of this movie it's a huge let down. The movie has a cliché plot with cliché screenplay and cliché dialogues. We have seen many similar movies in late 80s and early to mid 90s and it seems that the director was still not able to come out from that mode. The story of the movie is a predictably boring in which a young independent woman is getting married to the man of her dreams and she is being gang raped by Male Chauvinist one sided lover who couldn't accept her rejection with his relatives. Her father tried to get justice with the help of court but fails, be decides to take control in his hands and this is when the typical bollywood masala comes into effect off course with a sleazy item song. The movie is full of overdramatic melodrama which rather irritates instead of gaining sympathy such as the courtroom drama or the character assassination of the girl by putting his number on walls. Acting apart from Sanjay Dutt and Sharad Kelkar is ineffective. Shekhar Suman is a tremendously talented actor but ended up being very loud in the character in the of the role of a guide and also the drunk best friend of Sanjay Dutt. Aditi was average and failed to put an impact or gain sympathy from the audience, rest all the characters were bad. Screenplay of the movie is predictably boring and you will realize that you have seen similar scenes and heard similar dialogues in many 80s and 90s movies. Cinematography is average. Songs are forgettable. Climax of the movie is the most annoying and senseless part of the movie with lots of women throwing their dupatta on Kelkar who had fallen in a well. This was probably the most hilariously funny scenes of the movie and yes the audiences might also throw their patience by this time. Overall Bhoomi is a very pale and botched up attempt to carry feminism and in my opinion a clearly avoidable movie.

Bhoomi deals with the sensitive topic of rape and it repercussions for the victim, her family and the perpetrators. Bhoomi was gang raped by a would be spurned lover on the eve of her wedding to her true love. What happens afterward is what the film is all about. It was a womanist film, with Goddess overtones. The message is important to the viewers of this film. It gave this viewer something to think about. It was more than a revenge film because it dealt with issues that must be examined in the light of what is happening to women in society today

Such an intense thriller I loved the chase and the thought that the director put into this film it is phenomenal and his creativity is just wow is all I can say. I usually can predict a scene or movie but parts were so unpredictable well apart from the revenge part of course. If you haven't watched this yet and thrillers are your type of movie defintaley don't go past this movie.

first half is OK but in 2nd half story line is typical when kill rapist in bus, bus route change and bring to dolly location make any sense!? and why placed item number after interval ? it seems irrelevant.. A typical Hindi film. And naturally, a very obvious ending- villains get killed. If you haven't already seen the movie, sorry I spoilt the ending for you... but hey, I'm saving you from the torture! As for Aditi Rao Hydari... darling I hope you get Laryngitis!

An utter disappointment. Poor plot. Poor story line. Poor direction. Too many poors in this movie that even a seasoned actor like sunjay couldn't do much. An utter waste of time. seems like the writer was lost as to how to proceed with the story and then suddenly realized that he had to end it as well. Pl don't waste yr time.

The movie holds you in your seat from starting till end.the movie is emotional too which represents the problems being faced by the women or girl after being raped, What support she needs from society and her nieghbours and family. Sanjay dutt presence in the movie assures us that nothing bad is going to happen with bhoomi again. Aditi rao played the character well. Sanjay dutt comeback is very good . Sharad kelkar is awesome. He looks like a very evil villain . Sidhant gupta is waste . it would be o.k.if he is not in the movie.He is good for nothing. Shekhar suman performance is good like always.he must not be died in the movie. Overall movie is great with the victory of good over evil in the end and a happy ending.
