The Story is pointless. 10 mins in you already know how the movie ends. The movie is so slow that you might as well be watching paint dry. Can't think of a single good thing to say about this movie. The only reason I watched to the end was because all along I was thinking that this movie can't be this bad, there must be some really intelligent twist at the end which will totally make watching it worthwhile. I was wrong and I lost almost 2 hours of my life for absolutely nothing. Don't make the same mistake!

I hope all of the investors of this waste of disk space went broke. They are definitely in the wrong business. A visual wasteland.

At the beginning, I said to myself, another low budget waste of time. I almost stopped the film to watch something else. But as the story began to unfold. Feeling some of the emotions of the characters, I stuck with it. The acting I felt was lame at first, but realized this as real as it gets. I thought to myself afterwards, this could happen to anyone, myself included. And even though this could happen to anyone, it also made me think that I had better be careful who I'm letting creep into my life.

Really slow at the start and doesn't accelerate too much. I was tempted to turn off almost instantly but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. This then lead to me feeling that I had to finish just because I had started, not because I was particularly entertained or engrossed.
Felt very low budget and some of the scenes were unbelievably long in one shot and dragged out with very little dialogue.
The emotion felt a little forced, the acting was not entirely believable and Andrew was trying too hard, it just came across as boring.
The music was too loud over the dialogue.
A couple of positives though, I did start to feel empathy for Jack and his scenes especially with his sister were the highlights.
However, I would definitely not endure again.

This story sadly succeeds in being a waste of time instead of entertaining.
The main character, for some unknown reason, digs a hole for himself which he cannot get out of.
In summary, where most thrillers have the antagonist try to make a murder look like an accident, this story takes an opposite approach....again, for some reason.
All he had to do was tell the truth! Its so simple and bad, its funny.
Acting ranges from bad to adequate. The script never rises above bad.

This is another thought provoking film that is actually good. This is a slow burner that dim light at the start of the film turns into a bonfire by the end. It is mostly set in an interrogation room with a Detective Reeves (Broadus Martinson) & suspect Andrew Bennett (Steven Roberts). They are there to ascertain what happened to & locate his disappeared Brother in law Jeff Rogers (Jeff Evans-Todd) after the suspicious death of his wife Laura Bennett (Christie Burke).
They show the scenes out of order & uses flashbacks to add context to the accusations. However, the director cleverly show various versions to each flash back scenes that make the viewer question everything they see & to weigh them up to come to one's conclusion.
The ending did have an ott Hollywood scene but the end is what this film deserved...to say more would ruin it for potential viewers.

Dramatic thriller full of emotions and inner struggles of a family dealing with pain, control and addiction. This is definitely a slow burn so if you're looking for constant action, this may not be the film for you. The character development and mental agony that the actors portray is incredible and so convincing. The cinematography is beautiful and the set design is so convincing. An amazing work of Canadian art and film.

There is not much to be said for this movie other than it should not have been made as it is so slow and boring and rather a depressing and futile experience and who needs that these days when there is enough misery around; it makes watching paint dry a fun experience.
Not much to review about this film as it does not deserve much more than a few lines - If you are thinking the bad reviews might be shills or exaggerating like I did, then don't; it is a moronic film! So pay attention to the low star reviews on this one or you will waste and hour and a half of your time which would be better spent washing and waxing your car!

I viewed this film at a festival in Vancouver, BC and was transfixed from the start. The word that comes to mind, first and foremost, when I think of this film is... REAL.
It is not a flashy action movie. There are no jump scares or moments of hilarity... this film tells a real story about life and one that we all could EASILY find ourselves in.
Believe me.
We are all just a few poor choices away from this.
I was engrossed. I enjoyed this and I hated it at the same time. Because it was real.
Definitely not perfect, which is why I have rated this a 8/10. At times the screenplay is on the nose and the dialogue drags... but so does life.
This is worth watching.

In a few scenes, I literally laughed out loud at how slow and brooding this movie is. So in that sense, it's almost worth watching just for that: sort of like "It's so bad that it's good". The script must have been approximately one paragraph worth of dialogue and action: the rest of the movie involves the camera in one angle for untold minutes while characters say approximately three words per minute, they sit or stand. I only made it 40 minutes in before giving up, and I don't give up on movies. I guess it was worth the laughs though.
