I dug the atmosphere when this movie started. The acting was not bad and it pulled you in pretty well to both the time periods being covered. I was left excited to see where things would go from there, but sadly, that was the high point. The real low point is the finishing act. While we hope to go out strong, poor acting on the part of the male lead in that act really brought things down. I was pulled out of the action with the flat dialogue and the poor effects (outside of the under the bed scene that was really solid). The issues here are all too common for movies of this nature. Sadly, I'd recommend a skip unless you simply watch everything and anything in this genre.

Occasionally someone here points out that there are a lot of fake reviews, good ones, that must be put here by the filmmakers or their relatives, the ones who like the filmmakers. I'd have to agree, at least in this case, that that isn't some sort of conspiracy theory. I absolutely didn't watch the whole thing. I couldn't, but still, as a reasonably intelligent and articulate person, not that intelligence was needed, feel that this project should be condemned. And, again, regarding the credibility of a diagnosis made with incomplete data: I have long felt, that If you see a piece of dog s**t lying on the sidewalk, do you need to pick it up, see it it, sniff it, and finally , to convince yourself that in fact it is dog s**t, take a big bite and chew it awhile? And even then, without prior experience with that flavor, how could you be ABSOLUTELY sure that it wasn't fake? Some people apparently, and even worse, not for fetishistic reasons that at least have their own justification, but in the spirit of "reality testing" do find it necessary to qualify their impressions that way. Bad enough to step on this movie, but to give it a chew and watch it?...... Put the time into a visit to a psychologist.

This movie had such potential!! I was looking forward to it and I was hooked because of how creepy the trailer looked. It had the dark basement, curious reporter, past murder story, things aren't always as they seem kinda vibes written all over it. The potential here was completely wasted and overall this was an absolute TERRIBLE movie. It started off strong with a promising story line and then it just kinda was choppy story line and then just fell off completely. The ending was so horrible I was in disbelief that the movie was actually finished. The ending seemed rushed, unfinished and didn't make any sense. This is one of the worst scary movies I've ever seen.

I agree with a lot of the positive and negative reviews on here. I think this film has both elements. I have a soft spot for low-budget indie horror. Beezel definitely gives that feel. The story spans nearly 50 years (beginning in 1966), but the entire film gives a 70's vibe... even in 2013. I love a retro horror film. But doing the retro thing seems to be the go-to with a lot of horror films lately... especially set in 70's or 80's. It works when it's part of the plot. But a lot of horror filmmakers seem to use this throwback style of filmmaking even when it's not really relevant to the plot. The story is told in 4 different chapters, each with different characters. The first 3 build up like a slow burn, each giving us a closer glimpse of the horror that dwells in the cellar of a house... but doesn't give us much more than that. The less is more thing worked for me. It made those glimpses scarier. By the time Beezel gets to its last (and longest) chapter, it kinda fizzles out into a plot that feels stale... and the characters aren't very likable, which didn't really make me care about what happened to them. Part of me would've liked to have learned more of the backstory/origin of the evil thing in the cellar. But another part me appreciated the ambiguity. Maybe we'll learn more if there's a sequel.

I find that I really love this style of movie. It is gritty and feels like the story is very real. Times felt like I was a fly on the wall watching the house visitors and dreading what will likely happen to them. I really enjoyed the beginning of the film. The mystery of what that man did to his family had me very engaged. The remaining story is also very good as it does something I have not seen before and tells what happens to the next family/guest who comes into the house. The director had a nice vision and told the story well. The witch looks so creepy! I usually am not afraid of witches but this one is something I would worry to see in a dark corner of my bedroom.

The film start promising then it fell apart in the last 10 minutes The ending is very disappointing and meaningless Actually i cannot write anything more about it, this is how dull the movie is. I'm surprised by viewers who praised this none sense I mean come on guys did anyone enjoyed the ending or even understood what was the story behind the witch? Just a flesh eater witch living in the basement nothing more or less. I will give it 2/10 for the shooting and cause it's an Indie movie. Don't waste your time watching cause you will be very disappointed at the end. Recently lot of movies started good then they lost it in the middle or the end. It became very annoying We need good writers.

A very fresh and creepy take on a classic horror movie. The story tracks multiple timelines that revolve around a witch living in the basement. The plot is very unexpected and the effects are well done for such a small production. If you're looking for a fun Friday night horror flick to put on, this is it. The witch is an iconic monster and I liked how the intersecting storylines came together. It had some LONGLEGS vibes to it as well. The found footage elements make it unique and different, too. It adds to a level of authenticity that makes it that much creepier. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Blumhouse style horror.

Beezel is a fun indie creepy anthology type horror movie delivering the fun, gore, and terror that is keeping you on edge from start to finish. The film's buzz on social media brought me here and I am not disappointed even though it looks like they had to work with a low budget, it does the job and in my opinion they were able to pull it off and make beezel a pure nightmare fuel for true horror fans. Great directing and photography backed by great performances from the cast. I will definitely keep an eye on this crew. A must-watch for true horror fans seeking spine-tingling thrills and a perfect pick for your halloween night. A hidden gem that will not stay hidden for long.

Directed by Aaron Fradkin and co-written by Aaron Fradkin and Victoria Fratz Fradkin, the latest horror feature combines (what they claim to be) "found footage" with (again what they claim to be) traditional narrative to create a downright terrifying story that spans decades. After 82 minutes of watching I found their claims to be false! This half-baked horror film covers over six tumultuous decades, three unwitting guests of a cursed New England home who all stumble upon a sinister secret dwelling beneath its floors-an eternal witch with an insatiable thirst for the souls of the living! Do not ask any questions like Why and How, only When, Where and Who answers were there! Beezel is out on VOD... and I hope it stays there forever... for suckers like me who expected so much more! Than a film shot in the director's childhood house recollecting his childhood nightmares as scares in the film.
