You selected this movie BECAUSE it looked like a bad horror movie, which it lived up to my expectations. The monster makeup was super impressive but the rest of the movie is less to be desired. HOWEVER, the movie is poking fun at the "typical" horror movie. Some aspects of it is a little over done and super corny. If you fast forward 30 minutes into the movie then you get to the good part. SPOILER The ending is a little weird but if you think about all the subtle hints in the not so great script, people have gone in but no one comes out. Turtles whole rant on radiation works into the end of the movie. Because of that, she cannot leave. The pigs want to keep their world a secret and releasing the girl would have exposed them. The bad pig was trying to contain the situation while being super creepy. It seemed like the care taking pig (female?) wanted to save them or thinking they could have a chance of surviving but it was against the rules. The movie as whole could have been better or worse, but for what it was; it's entertaining, creepy, and people die.

Illogical plot. Dialog written by a 5th grader. Shaky camera work and weird scene cuts do not make a horror film. Don't waste your time. Choose another movie.

This movie is very entertaining and is kind of a super low budget version of Wrong Turn with its on flavor. Wild Boar is yet another victim of indie haters who have lost the ability to watch and appreciate something off the beaten path.

As low budget horror movies go, this isn't too bad and gets extra marks for the cool monsters. The other reviews caused me to think it would be worse and I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. It's a fairly standard format but kept me entertained. Could've done with some better death scenes but on the whole the best nuclear pig movie I've seen this year.

Let's start out with the best part and probably because Barney is a cosmetic artist. Great pig costumes. Good costumes all around actually, but the pigs were awesome for a movie of this caliber. The setting of the scenes and filming were really good too. The actors were good. For what I consider to be a normal horror, you can't expect AAA actors, and that's part of what makes horror so good. Not gonna blame them for the story because that falls upon the writer. ---Spoilers, kind of, but this is where the movie fails--- The storyline though, blech. It really falls into the current horror movie cesspit which is a one-and-done show where the "bad guy" wins despite watching the protagonist overcome every obstacle up until the end. Every recent horror I watch is just a series of the victim trying to escape, getting really close, and then despite their efforts getting killed at the last point. It's annoying. Freddy gets killed in like every movie, but he always comes back. Frankly, all the good horrors have a villain who gets killed at the end. It's alright to have a villain win at the end sometimes, but it's pretty much 100% of the time now with any movie I watch. I don't get what the pull is for directors to get to a point where they have a full good movie, and then go "hey, let's erase all that character development and kill them instead." Like that is shocking. It's literally what the last decade of movies has been doing. Lastly the stop animation at the end and beginning; what was that about? Was the director just showing off their skills? It really didn't add anything to the film, and felt pushed into it. Overall, movie was decent, but like most movies in the past decade or so, you just get a sense they did a horror to make a horror film, and checked all the boxes like a machine.

Surprisingly professional looking for a low budget film. The lead actress, Augie Duke, is splendid. The script is rather uneven though, little is explained how things came to be, the characters interactions with each other don't always make sense. Ending is really confusing too.

+1 Star for wet tshirts...and leaving bras at warning totems.... This is one way to make use of those abandoned structures on the way from LA to Vegas. I will give them that. What's really cool is when they find the mysterious box that Mel Gibson hid by this abandoned structure, they also find a tunnel that leads them to a completely different area of the desert. Ruh Roh. Poor Turtle got shot. The gunshots start flying after the decorating of the warning totem!!! Such a shame. Oh no and then the men all get killed and only the women are left! And the last half of the movie was weird and clunky. That kinda balanced out and it had a weird and clunky ending but all in all I found it entertaining. 6/10
