Watched this as I thought big stars can't be all that bad , well I was wrong , terrible plot , bad cardboard acting and that was from everyone in this film , don't waste your time and money on this one .

This is a tough watch. I like Stallone (although his quality has and is dropping) and I really like Modine but its not enough to save this mediocre effort. To show us the pain that the Modine character undergoes the director uses a seismic simulating visual effect. Initially when I was first exposed to the 'seismic' effects of a man getting his memory back I thought it was a clever way of showing the turmoil going on in Modine's head, after repeated 'seismic' events the effect becomes firstly boring and then irritating...can we give the man a headache tablet? I think the only people in more pain than Modine in this movie is the audience :( You would probably better off if you wipe this one from your memory!

Bad story...never gonna happen in real life,,,Stallone is a good writer...why he was involved in a movie like this with crap story?

Somehow we confuse the serendipity, of having lucked into a good script with rocky, which was successful because of the sappy times with actual passable acting. Backtrace is one of films that really shows how mistaken we were. The idiot cannot act. At some point, in 40 years of Stallone playing the same extremely limited range, mostly pretending to be punch drunk, gets tiresome and illustrative of total lack of talent and skill.

Wowhhhh, the worst movie I have ever seen...,bad acting, no script, was it Stallone or a dummy robot ?

I just love Stallone, let me say that, but this one is just not a very good movie. And for sure not worthy of his talent. Why would he be in this for a little amount of time? I have no idea, even his screen time does not really make an impression. I for one am glad he did Rambo 5 after this one, because that one is a real Stallone movie one expects it to be.

A bit boring and unfinished or quickly finished maybe, yes. But everything else is professional, real, and at the end emotional enough. Had this movie lasted at least 10 mins more all details could be added in and finished story. That are 2 rating stars i didn't add. Thanks to Sylvester this movie is much better than without him. Other actors are good too,, but not that much. Shooting looks real and professional. No helicopters and swat tough. But for such short movie this is good enough. Sylvester looks older but also more experienced, confident, trustworthy. Movie is good because teaches us about real life robbing situations and their resolving. Sylvester showed us that humanity and justice are more important in making decisions than law or public identity (what majority of people think about us).

After watching this, all that I can advise you to do, is to watch one of the Good Police Programmes, that you get on your T.V. Giving a 2 star rating, is being fairly generous. The Acting, if you can call it that, especially by Stallone, was that "Wooden", you may as well used a Ventriloguist's Dummy. This type of acting, you may expect from, a very bad drama student, but for Major Stars, not acceptable in any way. If you had to choose, between a walk in the rain, or this movie, "Take the walk in the rain".

The director has made of few of these thrillers normally starring Bruce Willis in small appearances, well, this one's the same but with Sly appearing every 15 mins for a few minutes , but does have an active part at the end. Some of the negative reviews are over critical, has a good start, interesting middle and the last third is all action ... a cut above an CSI Tv episode but nowhere near John Wick ... Ok thriller to pass the time.
