I can not believe how awful this movie was. The characters were so unlikable. Even the ones that we were suppose to feel sorry for. This is the first time I have ever written a comment on a site before. But my God! That was the worst!! There should be a negative number option. The main characters just come across as the most selfish immature self centered group of people. I understood this movie is sold as a black comedy, but they seemed to forget to include the comedy. Seeing characters act this way can be very amusing if done right. In fact, the humor is usually in seeing how awful they are. But these characters were just people that nailed the awful so well, that 30 minutes I just wanted to turn it off to get away from them. Since I had to give it a one, I will say the one is for the only comedy in this movie and that was the total miscast of the bride and groom. Now that was a joke.

What a mess. First-time feature director and screenwriter Leslye Headland goes for the jugular in this 2012 black comedy which takes the same cues as 2011's megahit "Bridesmaids" does but frankly doesn't take them far enough to be remotely funny. In fact, I laughed only once during the film's 91-minute running time (it was the line about Michael Jackson). That's too bad because producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay were able to recruit a first-class cast and then unfortunately lets Headland flounder with a predictably belabored situation, leaden pacing, and gags that are overly deliberate in execution. The threadbare plot focuses on a dysfunctional trio of obnoxious girlfriends who gather together à la "The Hangover" for a hedonistic night of celebration before their friend's big wedding. The bride-to-be is Becky, a former geek whom the trio viciously called "Pig Face" in high school behind her back. Now hitting thirty and finding their lives disappointing to say the least, the girlfriends are horrified to be beaten to the altar by someone they treated as a mascot to make themselves feel better. The alpha leader is Regan, the overachieving maid of honor known appropriately as the Hannibal Lecter of bridesmaids. Although resentful of Becky's happiness, she is determined to make sure the wedding goes off without a hitch, a challenge given that she inadvertently ripped Becky's wedding dress during a drunken binge with bubble-headed Katie and perennial party girl Gena. Unhinged, the three women desperately figure out how to fix the dress in the middle of the night as they cavort with the various groomsmen out on their own bachelor party. So many moments ring false including the set-up and the lightning-flash changes in the characters just to service the plot, but at least the cast is game. Fresh from playing the understandably depressed bride in "Melancholia", Kirsten Dunst appears to savor her mean-girl turn as Regan with surprising acuity and fearlessness. I give her credit for not being afraid to come across as unlikeable. Playing a more extreme version of the obsessed sister she played in "Wedding Crashers", Isla Fisher plays Katie with nervy comic abandon and obviously reflects her husband Sacha Baron Cohen's go-for-broke influence. Starting with a scene on a plane with Horatio Sanz as she graphically describes how she gauges a certain act, Lizzy Caplan gets to play Gena as the tough-minded chick still aching for the boyfriend who abandoned her when she became pregnant. Adam Scott plays the boyfriend in his typically smarmy manner, while James Marsden gets to play his cynical character in the same vein as Regan's foil. I was surprised to see Andrew Rannells, star of Broadway's "Book of Mormon", play Katie's flamboyant co-worker and the party *. Rebel Wilson, who played Kristen Wiig's brain-dead roommate in "Bridesmaids", has to play straight woman this time to the nasty trio as poor Becky, though she gets to have a few choice comic moments in the home stretch. Speaking of which, Headland cuts a lot of corners in the third act in a last-ditch effort to deepen the characters. It doesn't really work since any goodwill the movie generated had long since evaporated by then. It's no wonder this movie has shown up on Video on Demand a month before its theatrical release since word-of-mouth will likely sink the film's chances at the box office. At least at home, the producers have gullible viewers like me who were willing to give it a try without leaving the couch, a big mistake on my part.

Not worth watching. Everything was awful in this movie. I feel almost cheated. I am sorry to say this but this is the worst movie I have ever seen. It was so bad acting. So bad story and so not funny. God damn messy plot and no meaning in the way the movie was built up. I got so disappointed by all the actors. Only one advise from here. Don't waste 1,5 hours of your life seeing this movie. Simply not worth it!! One thing more. The movie is totally making a big joke about movie making. Whomever made this trailer must be good, because it actually looked funny and okay there, but man you have to look long time to find a worse movie!!

This film fails miserably on every conceivable level! What could have been a potentially good/comedic film was destroyed by some of the worst writing imaginable. Not even talented actresses could pull this one off. This film... more like reality television makes Jersey Shore seem like fine film making. Please, do not waste your money... You will hate yourself! Absolutely nothing redeeming or funny. Truly painful to watch... it's attempts at using gross humor like what we saw in Hangover and Bridesmaids results in one big fat flop after another. I have to wonder if the writer and director were both coked up the entire time. There is no other explanation for such talentless art... if you want to call it art.

Bachelorette tries to be some female version of the hangover and fails miserably. The movie is basically about three selfish and obnoxious overacting b**** doing coke at a bachelorette party. If the director quit doing coke, she would probably would have realized that her movie was a piece of garbage. The movie is fast-paced to keep people awake but nothing meaningful or funny ever really happen. Likewise, the characters are constantly yelling and cursing. I don't really have a problem with either but here it's really to cover up the lack of substance and give an edge to the movie. There's certainly room for rom-coms that aren't politically correct but this one really falls flat. I guess there's a huge target audience for movies with main characters like these considering that millions of people waste their lives watching shows like the Kardashians, my simple life and whatnot. Those people make me feel like banging my head against a wall cursing humanity, just like this movie. You would think that the movie would have a message to offer or some sort of redemption but the moment never comes. The characters are the same at the beginning and at the end of the movie. No explanation as to why I would care about those three women. This movie totally eluded me.

Becky (Rebel Wilson) summons her high-school * friends Regan (Kirsten Dunst), Gena (Lizzy Caplan) and Katie (Isla Fisher) to be bridesmaids of her wedding with the handsome Dale (Hayes MacArthur). The trio spends one crazy night of drugs, booze, sex and confusions in New Yorkr trying to fix the wedding dress of Becky that they have torn . "Bachelorette" is an unfunny and moronic comedy with unpleasant characters, gross jokes and stupid situations. The three friends are drugged, alcoholic, envious and promiscuous women. My vote is two. Title (Brazil): "Quatro Amigas e um Casamento" ("Four Friends and One Wedding")

Isla Fisher was hysterical, Kirsten Dunst excellent B Face. Loved it, It could have been longer, they edited out too much. Funny as hell The boldness of the coke use, the honesty about the real personal problems of the female cast. The bride was the lamest part, should have cast someone else, that bride just didn't have it. I think this is way better than Bridesmaids, Isla Fisher cracks me up, so cute in her clueless, submissive, don't give a crap who I end up with character, Kirsten looks great also, I am not to familiar with Lizzy Caplan, she is awesome too, James Marsden is so great as a hot young badass, he should end up with Kirsten they would be hot

A dark comedy starring three women. That's all the basic information you need to know this was not going to bide well with film snobs, much less the misogynistic ones. Bachelorette is a very humorous and fun movie that I had a great time with. I knew as soon as I got through watching it to come rate it on IMDb though that people would be bashing it, but I had no idea the backlash would be this harsh. The story is simple enough: Four high school friends all get together to relive their glory days as one, the most unattractive (Rebel Wilson), is about to get married. The bridesmaids consist of high-strung Kirsten Dunst, burnout Lizzy Caplan, and dim-witted but lovable Isla Fisher, which in my opinion Isla Fisher absolutely stole the show. I loved it. It is very mean and in your face with it's brutality. You almost wonder why these women are even friends to begin with, but unlike everyone saying there is no reason, the film ties up all it's loose ends and shows how all of the women have their own battle scars and shining personalities in the end. Don't let the comments and rating shy you away from this one, there are some gut-busting scenes. Like I said, Isla Fisher was magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed and believed in her character, not to say the other stars didn't deliver, she just outshines them!
