A communist girl who's utterly uninteresting nor sympathetic meets a weird woman. Later she takes some topless photos of a her friend (apparently she's a "professional" photographer). Then she meets some guy and they talk about pretentious beatnik crap for ever and ever. This has nothing to do with the plot of the movie, they're just killing time. I turned it off at this point, I was bored out of my mind. It's like a particularly dumb 14 year old's idea of the perfect day. I got to see a topless woman, then we cruised around town and talked about how we're going to overthrow the government, because the government should give everybody everything they want, and they're not, so we're gonna overthrow them! The acting was bad, the dialog was laughable, the overall look of the film was extremely cheap, and looking at the shapeless triangles that passed for the lead actress' chest ruined my appetite.

some comments here have complimented the film for having style. The film is loaded with atmosphere, and the camerawork and editing are great. What I didn't care for was some of the acting (Carroll Baker is dissapointingly stiff, and clothed), the ridiculous plot (yes, the film is hallucinatory, but it still makes little sense) and most of all, the music! It Sucked! okay, some of it was okay, but the jazz music reminded me too much of Jess Franco's work, and the rest of the background music is junky and uninspired. So, what's up with all the praise on Imdb for the music? I guess its hard to account for taste.
A few things of note: The copy I saw, while containing a certain amount of nudity, was cut. The running time is supposed to be 91 minutes, but the print is only 81 minutes long. Also, the director listed in the credits isn't the director listed on the DVD box, or in most reference books (it is listed as Umberto Lenzi's film). Baker's character is named Baba Yaga, which is laugh-inducing the second that she is introduced in the film (who thought that was a good idea?) All in all, "Kiss Me, Kill Me" reminded me of a few of those Jess Franco movies made in the late 1960's, and not just with the jazz music.
And, like Franco's films, this one is definitely entertaining. There's always something going on to keep your eyes entertained,if not your brain. You know, they don't make Euro-trash like they used to.

Beautiful photographer Isabelle is pursued by beautiful witch Baba Yaga in an attempt to seduce her in this mess of a film based on a Italian comic. An quasi-artsy movie, the movie is beautifully filmed but is devoid of anything remotely entertaining. Even the copious amounts of nudity can't really give this wooden effort life. All the beatnik, pretentious, moronic dialog hampers this film immensely and furthermore the plot is rather boring and tedious. A woefully pretentious eurotrash mess if there ever was one. I can't find it in me to honestly recommend this mess to anyone.

This film might disappoint horror fans, or it may delight them. But it should thrill fans of Fellini, Roeg, Goddard and other artists who pushed the limits of cinema. Italian director Corrado Farina weaves a stunning tapestry of imagery, dexterously jumping from crisp pop design to bled-dry Goth color to full blown experimental cinema. Story involves a stylish fashion photographer who attracts the attention of a beautiful witch. In the title role, Carroll Baker looks like the star of a haute Goth wet dream. As intense and free-form as the imagery and editing get, the story structure is solid and the film is entertaining. If you love intelligent artsy horror films like Roeg's "Don't Look Now" you should definitely check this out.

Lounge revival fans and obscuro movie freaks should definitely take a look at this gem. (Very) loosely based on the erotic graphic novels by Italy's own Guido Crepax, BABA YAGA is a "giallo" movie on acid. Call it Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA on peyote. Kinky, weird, and sometimes just plain funny: miss it at your own risk. Oh, and dig the killer soundtrack, too!

I saw it last night for the first time and thought it was spectacular! Filled with style and inventive camera work that could leave Argento in shame, the movie had a bizarre, interesting story. The pace was slow and lethargic (similar to Franco's Succubus and Vampyros Lesbos); the music was excellent, including a melancholic jazz tune and a stylish rock score; and the acting was above average: Carroll Baker, as opposite of what many reviewers said, shines in the role of the evil witch (and looks very attractive also), and Isabelle de Funes was a nice revelation. Cult favorite George Eastman is also good in is supporting role. For the sleazy guys, there was also some mild S&M and some T&A, but nothing worth mention . Too bad the director only made this film, as he looked very talented. A 8/10 from me.
