Don't go by the ratings, this is a crap movie, a total waste of time. I don't write reviews professionally but I'm compelled to warn you after wasting my time and money. Ajay Devgn,Emraan Hashmi & Sanjay Mishra are far better actors than what they did in this Milan Luthria's directorial failure. They couldn't depict the era according to the movie plot. It was full of shortcomings from the very start and add to it the most ambiguous climax. It seemed like the acting talent and the plot was wasted very badly by monotonous repetitive dialogues and flawed sequences.

Awful movie.. Torture at an extreme level Boring actions and scenes... I literally felt like sleeping ...what can i say more...it would have been better if i had watched old bollywood movies...they have even shamelessly used mere raske qamar song without permission and made it into a crap...and about acting these new comer girls doesn't even know how to act....conclusion- give my money back to me!

It's been a while since Bollywood did a good heist film and Baadshaho fills the void. An armored truck transporting ridiculous huge quantity of gold from Rajasthan to Delhiis on the radar offour amateurs hiding out in the desert. These guys aim to capture the vehicle on the order of their Queen, Gitanjali Devi who is serving time in jail during the emergency period. Unfolding in the mid 70s during the Emergency, the film's plot is set into motion when Sanjeev (a political character) decides to go after Gitanjali Devi's wealth when she rejects his advances. We remember Milan Luthria made two hit films set in the past - Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture; and it is highly expected of him to deliver an unfractured product and these high expectations disappoint! Baadshaho has its own share of issues with screenplay; however, it manages to deliver a hrilling and fresh film. The first half of the film is good; Luthria takes over an hour to introduce us to central characters and then gets to the heist. The second half seems highly rushed. However, the background score does make good for the same. Performance are good, music is soulful, direction is average, dialogues are spicy and cinematography is brilliant. Although Baadshaho comes with flaws, you may certainly not like to miss it in theaters. This one deserves a watch on the silver screen.

Let's get straight, if you think Baadshaho is a film based on real events or is a biopic, you're wrong. However, almost every movie- goer has a fascination for a heist-thriller, and yeah this movie does not disappoint (almost).. It recreates the era which so many of us have left behind; thus, making us nostalgic. The soul of the film, the story and screenplay, are captivating and keep you hooked until you complaint about the length when things start getting slower in the second half and gradually in the end. But, the dialogues do get lots of claps (and occasionally whistles) in not few but many scenes. Recreating the bygone era is indeed a tough job and the director, the writer and the art director deserve a bow for giving us a film that authentic feel. As for acting, Ajay Devgn has a strong character and he has played it effectively. Emraan is sure to win your heart once again. This is one of his finest performances to date. Both ladies, Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta were good in the own capacity;Sunny Leone did add to the overall entertainment value! And yes, Vidyut Jamwal was amazing.Music was average; but, it was the background score which left a lasting impression even when the movie ended. Last but not the least; there should be a special note of the dialogues written by Rajat Arora; they are fantabulous. To conclude, I recommend that you go for it if you are really interested in the authentic filmy dialogues, which Bollywood was once known for! Thanks for reading.

This movie is excellent. The drama in the movie is pulsating; action is very gripping and dialogues are filmy. Direction, Acting, Story and Songs - all departments have done well. The story line is very strong and it has novelty value. There are very few songs but all of them are superb. The item song adds desi flavor to the film. The only bad part I would say is the film drags in the second half. This is definitely one of the good Indian movies in a long, long time. Not to be missed. Overall, it is worth watching – both your time and money will be well utilized. In fact, can be watched again on television.

He collects men with muscles and women with great bodies, and packs them off to the deserts of Rajasthan on the pretext of a thriller. But apart from loading the pack with guns, silly dialogues and twisted personalities, and investing in the celebrated Sunny Leone's raunchy moves along with a ginormous truck, Luthria forgets he needs a story to fit them all in. Instead, he obediently plays to the gallery and glorifies his macho men by parading them in slow-mo shots that are tuned to a blaring background score. High on machoism and low on logic or reason, Baadshaho unfortunately remains a BAD SHOW. Luthria could have taken Baadshaho to a higher level. In addition to some compelling action, also on the plus side is the real-life mystery of the wealth that is intelligently handled; there are no filmy 'usual' resolves to the conflict, which again is a bold move. The boldest is how Luthria and Devgn give screen space for all - Vidyut Jamwal, for example; he often steals the scene. Every actor does justice to his/her roles. Stronger writing with less of the repetitive lines, firmer editing, and more realistic approach to the central narrative without the predictable invincibility of the protagonists could have made Baadshaho a more compelling film. For now, it is strictly time-pass.

The story is basic, yet wildly fanciful - a young RajputaniladyGitanjali Devi (Ileana D'Cruz) has her ancestral gold reserveconfiscated from her palace by the government. The year is 1975 and we hear the voice of Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, declaring Emergency (while exhorting her countrymen not to panic). The maharani has earned the wrath of a grasping Sanjay Gandhi look- alike whowields tremendous power even over the Indian army;his reel name is Sanjeev. The affrontedGitanjali Devi who is serving time in jail orders her brooding personal security in-charge Bhawani Singh (Ajay Devgn) to grab the lost booty back for her. The loyal Bhawani, who is the queen's retainer and secret lover, setts together a band of four gangsters. The gang includedGitanjali Devi'strusted aide Sanjana (Esha Gupta). They set on the mission to waylay the high-value consignment when it is transported from Rajasthan to Delhiin an armored truck. The distance between the source and destination was to be covered in an eight-hour road trip. "Woh army hai, hum haraamihai," Bhawani declares, playing down the risk involved, to allay the fears of both the ageing cat burglar Tikla (Sanjay Mishra) and the happy-go-lucky gun-for-hire Dalia (Emraan Hashmi) that he ropes in.The gang of badasses takes several detours as the gold is targeted and trailed. A stereotype army officer, Major Seher Singh (Vidyut Jammwal), becomes a massive obstacle in the way of Gitanjali Devi's assault team. To find out more, I would recommend you watch the film yourself. The inspiration of the film was certainly from the emergency era where perhaps similar events unfolded. Ajay Devgan portrays his character with ease; not only that, he makes a remarkable impression with the dialogues that have been penned by Rajat Arora. Emraan Hashmi is yet another delight. Vidyut Jamwaleffortlessly plays the role of an army officer. Once again Milan Luthriamanages to live up to his promise; although this is not one of his bests! He is the man who has has delivered 'KachcheDhaage' and 'Once Up on a Time in Mumbaai' and this piece is nowhere close to his earlier work. Powerful writing by Rajat Arora comes as a savior. Numerous scenes are packed with metaphorical dialogues that will build the required tension without any drama. The background score, picturesque cinematography and crisp editing also make this a commendable thriller. This one deserves good audience, especially the ones who enjoy the thrillin the chase!

I must say that this one is a well-researched movie that is set in the times of emergency in India (in the 70s). The story starts with a politician named Sanjeev (Priyanshu Chatterjee) who is after a Rajasthani princess Geetanjali's (Ileana D'Cruz) life and the quintals of gold that her family has saved for bad times. Geetanjali's confidant (also her lover), Bhawani (Ajay Devgn) is determined to hijack the truck full of gold that was set to trevel to Delhi. Dalia (Emraan Hashmi), Guruji (Sanjai Mishra) and Sanjana (Esha Gupta) are a part of the team that he handpicked to assist him in the mission. But there is a mole among them who might change the game. I don't wish to revel further! The movie is directed keeping in mind the era when such events would have occurred and that is what adds reality on celluloid. The background score of the movie is just awesome and to a great extent they are a saving grace for the slow second half and half-baked climax. It truly delivers the feeling of the good olden days when music was melodious; however, created for the new era using new instruments; it's the best of both worlds. The movie is filled with good one-liners that are punchy and certainly entertain those who have interest in dialogs. Ajay Devgn acting is simply superb; he is well suited for the character that he is portraying. Emraan Hashmi is a bit disgusting because of the dialog delivery; yet he is good. Vidyut is another actor to watch out. Ileana D'Cruz was average; Sanjai Mishra was a surprise package. Overall, the movie is watchable and it will surely remind you the era of olden Indian Cinema.

When a person starts narrating a thriller and whenever he gets stuck in a situation, takes help of some flash back to add thrill in his story. Sorry, you can go ahead but I am not interested to listen. Same thing happens throughout in the film. Surprises come as a flash back which strictly push away you to get involved in the film. You just helplessly watch the film after few minutes when they started hurling flash back on you in the name of thrill. First a body guard and Princess affair, momentarily established just by a melo dramatic scene of taking her to jump into a river to make her realize worth of life, which doesn't fit a bit after wards. Even there was a bonfire in secluded place!!? Princess drops her fur coat in front of body guard on the top of her fort like they are invisible!? Just for the beatification of scene!! In very first moment of film, Army searches and blasts a fort for treasure like they are searching for terrorist! Government officer gets slapped by Princess then a stupid flash back justifies it! Escape from Police lock up by ramming truck was so idiotic. In chase sequence Police Jeeps get blocked by heard of camel! In now a days age of stylized cinema, specialist in thriller genre who can think of such lame and stale scenes. Lock opening with any thing and very long lock opening sequence of the treasure when you don't feel a bit of happening on screen. Gold had to be melted when that can easily come inside the earthen pot meant to carry them, in there original form! Long climax of actors fighting and rolling in dust and sand is totally waste of money and actors patience. At the end you think like that why did Princess not accept so called Sanjeev offer? Because then there would be no story! There was no need to Portray Princess character like a real Princess of Rajasthan of that politician son's angle. They are deliberately dragged in this muddle without relevance. Gone are the days for such type of things. An non melodic item song is also stuffed just to show case most exposed girl's body!? Performance wise hats off to Sanjay Mishra, who can make you laugh by his expression or improvisation. Rest are just OK.
