Great cast, very believable. Every person in the picture was interesting. The film is unique. It is about life after this life, and a young girl (Samantha) who is a victim and requires help from the other side. Julianne Michelle is magnificent as Samantha Winston, John Savage as her dad, Steven Bauer as a rich cowardly man (but so appealing), Edward Furlong as the deranged Uncle Thomas who knows a lot more than he lets on. This movie is as good as any $20M blockbuster and better than many. I keep talking about it and hoping its all true. Awakened has meaning, twists, turns, confusion, our minds and the great Universe. The cast is great and the film is well written. My aunt who is very ill and does not like to watch TV or movies, loved this one. It made her feel good. Steven Bauer was better than he is on TV. He was great.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was so angry that I wasted my time watching a movie as I was with this one. The story concerns a young women who returns home for the first time since she was a child and her mom died, convinced that her violent drunk of a dad killed her mom and determined to somehow prove it. Lead actress Julianne Michelle seems to basically have two expressions--smiling and not smiling--she doesn't even come close to having the talent required to be a lead in something like this, not that it ultimately matters since the filmmakers completely sabotage their film with one of the most thoroughly destructive surprise endings I have seen since Alexandre Aja's High Tension. In the unlikely event that you somehow found Samantha and her quest for answers dramatically involving the ending will punish you for that mistake. I seriously cannot emphasize this enough--do not waste your time watching this movie. Awakened is a train-wreck that seems to go on forever before completely self-destructing at the end. It's really bad but not in a way that's in any way entertaining. The songs over the end credits actually felt like salt being thrown in my eyes--so the punishment doesn't end even as the credits run. Again, just don't watch this movie. If you do prepared to be angry by the time it's over. Consider yourself warned.

My wife and I liked this movie. My wife was so moved at the end and she liked the depth and meaning. We will watch it again next weekend to try to catch any clues we may have missed. Hollywood should make more meaningful pictures like this. I am still not certain if the baby belongs to Lucas or Jack. But I like the food for thought aspect. We like to go out to dinner and talk about a movie after watching, and it is great when we can actually see a movie worth thinking about and talking about and watching for clues. We went to see a so-called blockbuster two weeks ago, a 20Million dollar film and it was so boring. Hollywood should think about more human, touching pictures like this one. We saw it on HULU for free and it was well worth it- even if we had to pay. Very fine acting.

I recently watched the film Awakened. All I can say is wow! I really enjoyed it! It was so different than all the other movies out there. It was not predictable at all which was a bonus! The actors on film had such amazing chemistry and everything flowed so well. The actors made me feel like I was apart of this movie that's how great they were. There is a definite twist to this movie that I did not expect which was a first to me. I was flabbergasted at the turn of events with this movie, it was so good! I was truly amazed at this movie! Everyone should go see this movie you will not regret it! Truly a great film! The writing and directing was great! I would definitely go see this movie again!

I really don't know much about movies, and most of the time movies bore me. But this one for some reason I just swallowed up. I took a chance and saw it and there turned out to be so much in the movie for me. So much for me to gain from it. Learning about and experiencing the supernatural was fun but also pretty scary. While some parts of the film can be a little disturbing. I really felt for the main character. I really got her story and was even pretty sympathetic for her throughout the film. I really was actually moved to tears by it. I mean I've seen films with suspense before, but this one was so honest and believable which is what I thought was great about it. I definitely don't regret seeing this one!

Awakened is definite a movie the builds suspense by making us identify strongly with the characters. The actress who plays Samantha portrays strength and determination and when she finds herself in a difficult situation we, the audience, want her to overcome her obstacles. Her gripping portrays of courage and heart is very compelling and convincing. Awakened boasts a magnificent and suspenseful script full of great lines. It has marvelous direction and creates incredible jaw dropping scenes throughout. It makes you long for more! A quality film in all aspect! I saw pre-screening and I loved it. Cast memorable with the best acting. Awakened is a film not to be missed.

I happened to have had the pleasure to see the pre-screening of the film. Boy, what a treat that was. The film is set to be released on the 21st of this month, there's no telling what is going to happen once it hits the public. Such a well-crafter, original, and moving film this was. The directors and writer obviously had a higher message or higher meaning intended when making this film. I really couldn't get enough of this picture when I first saw it. The film's pace was so menacing, it went against all clichés and formulas that I would normally expect, the plot twist came from NOWHERE. I was on the edge of my seat, I was trembling, I couldn't help myself; I was a mess. What an experience. Worth multiple viewings, a thinking piece. Great cast as well. This is definitely make a serious impact on the genre. They don't make thrillers like this anymore.

When the truth is the only choice that you have, you are willing to do anything to find it. Awakened is a take your breath away triller. I saw the pre-screening and was great. Cast memorable with the best acting. The protagonist who tries in every way to discover the truth about her life. The continuous succession of strange events that disrupt the lives of everyone. What drives the protagonist to be so bold? What lies behind the truth? There are all questions that have their own logic but that are answered just by watching the film. Awakened is a film not to be missed. Suspense,mystery, lies, hidden truth make Awakened a masterpiece. This film is one of the best thriller of all time. The audience gaps until the end.

I am very tough person to get a review out of,but after seeing this movie it was hard not to write a review. The entire cast EXCELLENT!!! The story line, CAPTIVATING!!! It definitely has you on the edge of your seats!! The acting has such amazing chemistry that it's hard not to immerse oneself into this film. It feels like you are already there apart of this film! Oh my word what brilliance! Pay attention all you movie loving people do not miss the opportunity to see this movie! Trust me you will thank me later over and over again! I absolutely loved it! It has a twist but I will not spoil it for anyone! If you want to know what it is then go see it! You will not be disappointed!
