Awaken the Shadowman

Spoilers, if you haven't seen a horror film. The film opens in 1964 New Haven as a woman tries to escape with her baby from...? Then in the present, Adam (James Zimbardi) gets a call from his brother...mom is missing. Adam packs up the wife and infant and goes to help out. We meet a group called Gateway, that doesn't make computers. It is run by a creepy kid named Lawrence (Raam Weinfeld) and that is all we need to know. Plot solved. The acting was okay, nothing to write home about. Grace Van Dien, daughter of Casper Van Dien had a minor role. At least she could have stepped on a bug or something. Skyler Caleb credits the idea for the film he got from a dream, a dream he might of had after watching "The Believers," a film you should watch instead. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

This movie is one of the worst you could ever watch. the actors in this movie are very stiff and have nothing to do with acting whatsoever. The movie story is even worse, nothing really interesting with no thrill. the movie's sounds are a nightmare, I'd rather be deaf than hearing these awful sounds. If you see a positive comment about this movie, it means it was written by either a crew member or a really crazy person that would give this movie a positive comment. Save your time and don't watch this rubbish, because it's totally not worth it

I honestly was confused for most part of the movie. And the ending is the worst. I don't get it at all. Who is that guy?? I don't remember seeing him in any other scenes? Worst movie ever. This is the first time I had to resort to google to try understand a movie. I don't know how much those people got paid to give this more than 1 star. I still can't figure out the meaning to the end of the movie; someone explain please.

Sadly it really is one of those boring, unoriginal horror movies, that makes ma crave the horrors of the nineties. There is a big difference between deliberate suspense and out and out boredom, and sadly the latter fits this film. So little seems to actually happen, apart from the melodrama among the rather odious family. I think they tried to make a statement with the content, and provide a shock with the tone and plot, but sadly it simply fell flat. It's hard to find many positives, the acting wasn't bad in fairness, but that alone couldn't make up for the film being so boring. 4/10

This movie is horrible. It's slow, excruciatingly boring, annoying...the story isn't interesting, the characters aren't likable, and most of the acting is garbage. I watched it because I'll watch anything with 5 or more stars...how this got 5 stars boggles the mind. To say this is an average horror movie is shameful. Avoid this dumpster fire...

I can't believe I made it through the whole movie. Their voices never changed tone and their was no emotion. I don't this this was bad acting because I believe they were directed to do that. This was one of the slowest, most boring horror movies I have ever seen. There was only one instant towards the end of the movie that I was actually able to pay attention and that was when the main character guy was talking to the woman that didn't trust the people. I wouldn't even call it a horror movie. It was a total waste of my time.
