I'm sick and tired of crappy movies, that call themselves as "interesting", "original" or "something completely new"... This movie is awful, the acting, atrocious, the script vague, plain and stupid... It sucks!!!!!!

After the first 20 minutes or so you get the feeling that you are watching a drama regarding politics and sociological concerns which made me think about terminating my view. Glad I didn't as while the next 20 were a bit a a TV series vibe it became more engrossing and cinematic. Possibly this was intentional as the editing was superb especially the quick cuts during the action scenes. It crosses genres of horror regarding spirituality, superstition and religion while making leaps into Science Fiction with no silly jump scares or reliance on gore, all the while keeping the suspense as to what the movie is actually claiming to be. I found allegory, analogy and symbolism throughout but this may just be the way I watch movies and saw "ghosts" that weren't there. The main actor was great and chosen well while the rest were OK and in some parts not believable and almost ridiculous. This can easily be watched in the vein of science fiction where it has something to say about current society with the final punchline that was already obvious for viewers that think while they watch and not suspend thoughts until the very end. If this was French, Japanese, Spanish etc. There would be a possible Hollywood rights bought on the outline The script could be polished still.

It's impossible to take this film seriously for anyone apart from the makers. They seemed to think it was clever. It wasn't. It's one of the worst films I've ever seem. It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Nothing is even remotely plausible. No decisions are believable, the characters are barely even one-dimensional and the surprises are all not surprising. Don't bother.

The main premise of the movie is an intriguing one: a broken family wakes up to find their house encapsulated in some sort of metal (trapping them inside), while cryptic instructions appear on their tv, of which they are supposed to follow. At first you may think that some sort of sadistic, advanced killer is playing games with these folks, or, as the characters suggest, a govermental plan has been put in place as a result of terorism. This is not the case although anything would've been better than the true antagonist. No, the real villain is some sort of wire alien portrayed by the worst special effects since the blob, that has taken over the world and wants people to worship it and can mainly communicate through glowing green letters on really old tv's. The acting isn't awful. The characters have various background issues that are intended to keep the viewer interested but ultimately affect nothing in the real plot. I actually made an IMDB account just to vent about my time being wasted by such a disgracefully bad film. Please watch anything else or even an old show as this movie will do nothing but disappoint and make you angry for your lost time.

*Not* for a dumbed down audience that thinks good sci fi means more lasers and space ships. Awesome story about human nature, how suspicion can drastically change people. Similar to an original Twilight Zone episode, where aliens secretly controlled the electricity in a neighbourhood and good friends quickly started turning on each other. If your head still has synapses that have spark, you will enjoy this. If not, for you there's another Disney sci fi loaded with pretty explosions and social agendas, churned out by a machine weekly.

In one word it's 'naff' in another word 'intriguing'. The plot does just enough to keep you watching,, and the payoff is decent (just don't watch the trailer before hand or it will be spoiled) The characters though are awful, only 3 of them are consistent but the other 3 literally change their personality from one scene to the next, making it a bit frustrating as a viewer who dislikes lazy writing. But, there is still fun to be had here. Just go into it expecting the worst and you'll have some entertainment. Ps; I hate kate, she was just the worst.

Well here is another example of bad movie making. What on Earth is happening these days with these so called 'directors'? Where did thay learn their trade for God's sake? Was it the 6th form? I've make better movies than this for Christ's sake using clay puppets, with a better story line - and better acting!! As for the screenwriter don't get me started....

I'm someone who uses the fast forward button a lot. I was suprised that not once did I press on the fast forward button while watching this movie. Needless to say, I loved it. It's nothing like I've seen before. It's perfect for those who like to keep on guessing what's happening until the very end. The actors were all good, and the special effects (especially at the end) were so-so which didn't come as a shock since it's a low-budget flick.
