Leah (Gabi Alves) leaves her abusive husband Daniel (Jacob Allen Weldy). She ends up joining a cult of two people who were once in a cult run by her husband. And then there is a subplot that never ties in per se.
There are no real wolves in the film, it is just a metaphor. This is more of an art film about bad men and moving to the next level to eliminate this aspect of society. Pretty boring stuff. I would be lying if I said I understood everything, because if I did, it was pretty bad.
Guide: F-word. Implied sex. No nudity.

Incoherent, no amount of excuse as an "art film" can save this mess of a screenplay. Instead of bantering what this or that meant, we're left wondering how this dreck ever made it this far.

Might not be your cup of tea. Kind of reminds me of Mulholland. Not like most horror movies but definitely has eerie moments and some horror stuff.

Not like anything I've seen before but you can tell it's low budget. The effects were really impressive though I have to say, she probably should have left her @hole husband sooner! I felt like there was a lot more story they didn't show so that would have been nice but by the end of the movie I'd say it was a cool movie when you don't know what else to watch. Or only have like 80 minutes to kill?

This movie is wild in a way you should prob be ready for. Don't expect it to be everything you want but if you like original stories it's a good one. Not sure I agree with the ending but still cool.

And I guess absolute boredom also comes at night.
When I stumbled upon the 2021 movie "At Night Comes Wolves", from writer and director Tj Marine, it was a movie that I had never heard about that I picked up. I found the synopsis interesting enough, given the cult concept of the storyline. So I opted to sit down and watch the movie.
But wow, this movie was slow paced and boring. Running at 76 minutes, I can honestly say that the movie feels like it is 180 minutes long, and absolutely nothing worthwhile happens throughout the course of the movie. So I can't really fathom what writer and director Tj Marine was aiming for here.
The storyline just simply didn't have any proper contents to it. A shame really, because the synopsis sort of painted the movie to have potential. But the truth of the matter was something else entirely. I was bored senseless and to tears from what transpired on the screen.
The acting performances in "At Night Comes Wolves" were actually surprisingly good, taking into consideration that the actors and actresses virtually had nothing solid to work with in terms of storyline and script. I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie.
All in all, then "At Night Comes Wolves" just simply isn't worth the effort. This movie was a boring snoozefest, and it is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on.
My rating of "At Night Comes Wolves" lands on a two out of ten stars.

Sarah Serio's true acting abilities and star power came through in this otherwise messy and confusing script. There were moments the film was good, however Mary May's character, played by Sarah Serio, was the most convincing and consistent part of the movie. Keep your eyes peeled for this up and coming star.

I enjoyed the movie a lot to be honest. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. Acting was great along with production I thought. Production was excellent considering they took footage from previous movies it said in the trivia section. Some of these reviews seem to say they didn't know what was going on but it seem very easy to follow. One user and particular (@Angry_Santa) seems to not enjoy any movie at all with every rating as 1.

I feel like this movie is desperately trying to be something it just can't be. Whatever "that" is, I have no idea. The synopsis of the movie is way off of what you actually get. The plot is all over the place. I'm not even sure what the plot is. I'd understand it more if this were more of an art house movie but there isn't really much there by way of symbolism. It's not really about a woman who is emotionally abused by her husband; although that is some of it. It's not really about men being misogynistic either. It's just about a bunch of weirdos who say weird things and drink strange drinks mixed up by some dude in the movie. If they had just focused on one topic instead of several disjointed ones, it might have had a slim chance at not being terrible.
There is even a sub-plot about a man and a woman who are looking for someone or something that is just tossed in there without any explanation whatsoever. The main actor in the movie is the leader of some cult but little is explained about him or his cult and then another guy who mixes weird drinks is in yet another cult of his own but his is "better." It's just a mess. Oh and people turn into zombies at the end. Just don't waste your time.
