Another Soul

I did not understand why so much hate. I mean it is a brief and cheap movie with poor dialogues. The plot is indeed easy: a woman sold her daughter's soul for money, in order to save her husband's life. The woman was skeptical. What happended here is that this is not supposed to be the first horror movie a person watches. And why? Because it is a movie full of clichés and it does not takes itself seriously. For example, the character of the priest, is useless for the plot, it is sheer enterteinment. The mother laughs when she shouldn't and the young girl is stone cold. There are no remarkable characters is this one. This is a movie for those who had watched many horror movies but, now, they wonder: "do I really like horror?". Can I spend my whole carrer provoking the audience? Shooting movies that work as a question "are you really watching this?". Well, I sure can. Why not? Surely, "Another Soul" is sloppy in it's task to depict violence, in the end, for example, they insert the character of the deceased girl's father in the combat totally out of the blue. It was not meant to be funny, however sometimes it was. But it had a solid pace and it was a straighforward flick. Didn't you want tension, darkness and cry, well, it delivered. Funny fact, in the first time I watched, I was did not like it, I was with my head somewhere elsse. This time, I accidentally started watching it again. I was not utterly bothered by it. It was what I call "a 4AM horror movie".

This is so unoriginal taking cliches from virtually every recent movie of its ilk, from Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Conjuring, etc. Everything is so obvious and blatant, like gags from Scary Movie or such, but they aren't gags, it's dead serious. There's also no suspense or character development or a build up , just boom, hey I think our daughter is possessed so I'm going to watch her with video cameras. Which is probably creepier than anything in this movie.

Omg lol..... that might just be the worst and cheapest movie I think I have ever seen 😂👎👎👎👎👎.... I have saw some really rotten movies but I think this one is on the top lol haha haha ..😂😂😂😂

The actress that portrays Susan, shouldn't be allowed to act. This movie could have been good, but it just wasn't. Sub par plot, sub par dialogue, and sub par directing leave this movie much to be desired. Don't waste your time.

Way too dark, you can't see most of the movie. I was interested fefr the beginning. The acting was not too bad.

I did not go into this expecting a James Cameron /ILM blockbuster. I went into this knowing that it was a low budget labor of love. Let me state: I have absolutely nothing to do with this movie or those involved. I felt it started off a little slow. I know that parts of the back history had to be established, but it just seemed a bit to get going. These are just some suggestions that I felt would have tightened things up and added to the movie, even though I know with budget restrictions, it is hard to do so. -Not everything needs to be explained, especially when dealing with the supernatural. -Perhaps, during the "drowning exorcism," the lights could gone out to help cover the demon's exit. The demon leaving the bathroom by using the door and walking out really took me out of the movie. Even if the demon would've gone "poof" in a pillar of smoke, that would've been a better exit. -In the finale, I really feel that a wind machine and a fog machine would've helped immensely in creating additional creepy atmosphere and would've helped with keeping the demon in the shadows. Maybe even a rain machine, as that might've given the demon some texture. Believe me, in all my years, I have seen a lot of crap. Overall, this was not that bad. Once it got going, I wanted to see the end. I wanted to see what happened. I can't imagine that if this director and crew have a decent budget, what they could do next.

This movie actually gave me the chills a few times when it started.... Then they showed a rendering of the demon on the ceiling in the basement. I giggled then started to lose interest as the movie got dumber & dumber. They had it, but truly lost it FAST!

We watch alot of horror films, cheesy ones and all but this movie was horrible from the first scene, couldn't even finish it

There aren't even any trains in it! No seriously... the entire cast, crew and especially the writer/director should consider a different career...

You know that type of movie that's so bad that you can't stop looking at it? This is it. Just like a pug, they are so ugly that's cute. Yup this was it. My husband and I had a great time watching this, not because it the acting nor the plot but because we laughed all the way with the horrible effects, acting and plot. I don't know, so predictable and corny. Movie is horrible but loved watching it, had a good laugh with it. I don't really know what to tell you. I am still short a few words and this is getting tedious, So I will just try to keep on writing until my word quota is up. Movie is so bad that's distractingly good. Not scary, just ridiculous and funny.
