This movie does not even deserve a 1 out of 10.. one of the worst movies of all time

...well here's the answer. My favourite bit was either watching her eat breakfast or when she did the dishes. Pure drivel.

This film isn't a horror at all. In fact I'm not sure what it is supposed to be. It seems to be a low budget film, and it shows. But this (and the moments of poor acting) could be forgiven if the story was interesting - which it isn't. I can see the concept of the film and what the makers were trying to achieve but it doesn't come through in the production. According to the description the guy is supposed to be unfolding the 'strange truth' about Ann's illness - but he hardly features in the film, and what he is supposed to be doing is far from clear. This is a film that tries to be something it isn't and ends up being quite a tedious watch.

I don't even know where to begin. I think the majority of the 'real' reviews speak for me. Started watching this with my wife....we weren't even 15 minutes in and opted to turn it off , watch a Hallmark Mystery movie, then, eat a brownie, and return to this flick, in hopes that it would be more entertaining.... We fought to stay with it to the end, and then promptly regretted doing so. As been said by other reviewers, avoid this movie. Even if you are remotely curious, just DON'T. A whole lot of WTF going on, and none of it entertaining, or artistic. Don't let Nick prune your shrubs...he sucks at it. Don't let Hope have a local tv show, she sucks at it. Don't let Sarah care for your elderly, she sucks at it. Don't let Kyle sell your house, he sucks at it. Nuff said.

If you have problems, your hamster died,, your uncle stole your bike and you want to see Robert de Niro in a wig and a dress, eating cereal and dancing with dolls, this movie's for you. Have fun

Well this was certainly a weird one! Very strange and unsettling, all atmosphere and virtually no real content or story, just an obviously insane old lady named Anne living her dreary day to day existence in her lonely old house in the presence of her collection of creepy dolls which she alternately dotes on and is cruel to, while growing steadily worse in her mental state until she needs a live-in nurse who seems to have a sinister agenda of her own... I really didn't get this, it felt like it could have been either really sad and tragic or really scary and psychologically disturbing if they had tweaked the plot a little, it feels like it's going somewhere but it doesn't, and the abrupt ending which comes out of nowhere is highly unsatisfying and aggravating, it really lost me once the nurse arrived and the old lady died and she didn't bother to tell the son about it and then she was in cahoots with the other son to get the house or something, whaaaat?? Lol it's like thin gruel, there's nothing you can really take from it, they should have just gone for the gusto and had the dolls come to life and eat the old lady after she buried the one doll that she decided she didn't like, at least that would have been something! Slightly enjoyable as a very weird meditative 'art' piece on loneliness and uh..how dolls can be seriously creepy if you get a lot of them together in one place, about the best thing about it is some very nice and creepy footage with said dolls. Too bad really, there was faint potential for some real horror somewhere, and I have actually seen a lot worse. Very odd, left me frowning and befuddled, it was a thing I watched though, that much I can say for sure! X

Do you know what would really improve this film? Dialogue. Or events. Or pace. This film has none of those things. On the plus side, I'll give it 3 stars because it's practically the only film I've seen in the last two years where far left politics haven't been unnaturally inserted

Well, first of all I had not even heard even the slightest about the movie titled "Anne" prior to stumbling upon it by sheer random dumb luck. I looked at the cover and deemed it a horror movie. I didn't even read the synopsis for the movie, which I might should have done in retrospect. In defense of the movie, then I will say that the movie's cover/poster definitely is interesting and serves as a lure quite well, because I was hooked and wanted to check out the movie. This movie might be labeled "horror", but wow, it was anything but horror. Well, at least the mindboggling 25 minutes of the ordeal that I managed to sit through before I gave up out of sheer boredom. The movie felt like a random conjured series of events handed to director and writer Joseph Mazzaferro and then he had to put something together. And that he did, but it was just not something that impressed me, captivated me, entertained me or made me want to stick around to finish the movie. I didn't care an ounce about the storyline, nor about the main character. It was definitely not the fault of actress Gail Yost, but she seriously had been given nothing in terms of a proper storyline, script or a character to work with. The music in the movie was abysmal, and it was so ill-suited for a movie of this kind. It was really misplaced and out of tune with whatever mood that the director was trying to establish with this project. I gave up on the movie 25 minutes in, and I can honestly say that I am never returning to watch the rest of the movie, because I couldn't care any less about the movie and everything in it. So if you like horror movies, then you are far better off with anything else aside from "Anne".
