This is a film about a man who has a lot of growing up to do. He is a self centered, short sighted, materialistic person who is given a gift of immense power. And he has very little understanding of how to use this gift in a way that will be of benefit to anyone, including himself. As we observe him use his gift over and over again, we see that this is largely because his understanding of life is deeply lacking. The things he seems to value quickly turn out to have negative consequences that he did not foresee. In real life, learning this lesson is what marks the transition from adolescence to adulthood. In this film, well you will have to decide this for yourself.

This film is an intoxicating blend of African mysticism, magic, power, materialism, friendship and love. And it all takes place in a good looking, prosperous African American community. Bravo.

Happened upon this movie while scrolling through T*bi, never heard of it before, the brief description sounded good so I started to watch. As with every movie I watch, I logged onto this site to see what the score was. Shocked to see the low score so much so I was going to turn it off, scores that low can't be good. I'm glad I didn't turn it off. I found the movie funny, charming, sad and very sweet: story of a man who is given an incredible, life changing gift. Will he make the right choices with it? I won't go too deep into the story because I don't want to spoil it but the film was touching, the lead actors played well off each other and gave really good performances; the animation of the history of the gift was stunning, colors were amazing. If I could give a recommendation it would be to ignore the scores and watch the film. It really isn't as bad as the reviewers on here are making it out to be.

"The Gift" is handed down from someone whose mother dies at childbirth. What they draw and sign comes true. Young Neal (Levenix Riddle) gets the gift and misuses it. The was nothing over exciting about the film. Didn't really care for Neal. The ending was way too predictable. Low budget acting.

Yeah sure it is a little slow for some but honestly the acting, plot, characters, and message were all above the low expectations I had when I saw the IMDb score. Well worth watching in Amazon prime for free!

Animator is a kind of film that is somehow boring. But for drama lovers, it might be a good film to enjoy. As for me, yeah, it's a little bit boring. Still, it's watchable. What I don't like of this film is the behaviours of the characters. But it's still very difficult to criticise because I don't like both of them. At first, I don't like Tina for her reaction when Neal's card isn't working and he doesn't have money to pay on cash. At that time, I thought Neal shouldn't choose her as his girlfriend. But when Neal asked her to do abortion, I kind of hate Neal. Both of the characters aren't perfect. So, I kind of don't like this film which is based on such characters. That being said, I quite like the idea of drawings become real when he signs. It would be more interesting if it was real in this real world. And I was so touched when I saw they are willing to die to save who they love. I feel it's so cute. Based on the above facts, this film really needs to improve more to be better. So, to say it in overall, although it's a little bit boring, but as for me, it's still watchable. But to say it's a great movie? I don't think so. It's just a normal, fine film. If they have made a bit less boring, it'd be better.

ANIMATOR movie is a must watch.The film is very unique with the animation adding to the creative story line. It takes you through a journey of self indulges with a chilling ending that makes your realize the importance of the power to give. A must see film, acting was excellent Levenix Riddle the lead did a great job
