There was a time where I was getting really interested in stand-up comedy videos and started searching out the nastiest ones first. I picked this one up not just because of Andrew "Dice" Clay's reputation, but even more so because this one had a guarantee to offend on the box. Though I did disagree with some of his airheaded comments about a lot of people, it didn't exactly offend me either because I knew this was a stand-up comedy act. I kicked back and laughed for the entire running time. In the world of Andrew "Dice" Clay, everyone is a target. The human race is a splattered piece of crap, so we might as well take it in stride and make a great joke out of it. While many have viewed Clay as a damaging, hateful person (which he does look like), they do tend to forget that these are comedy shows, and this is a funny one at that. I would also recommend "Sam Kinison: Family Entertainment Hour" (where someone in the audience is forced to take off a Dice shirt!) and the George Carlin videos, too.

Before the famous 1989 comedy special The Diceman Cometh, Andrew Dice Clay wasn't as famous as he was then or now. But this proves that he was funny back then. Only problem, it seems as if this special is just The Diceman cometh as a experiment. But still, it is great (and funny) entertainment where we would first hear the mother goose poems and impressions (instead of Eric Roberts he does Jerry lewis). Great material, very topical, that shaped diec's career as a comedian. A+
