why does the police always shows at the end, when the situation has been handled...if that's the case, there is no need informing them, we just have to do our thighs our way

The "Amber Alert" movie has several loose ends. For one, no police arrived at the scene; instead, the characters had to contact a call center instead of going directly to a police station. The police could have easily checked nearby CCTV footage to find the kidnapper's license plate, but they never attempted to do so. Additionally, the Amber Alert system is meant to notify the public, which could have tipped off the kidnapper, making it likely he would flee or hide instead of driving on the road. It's confusing why some viewers consider it one of the best movies of 2024. Save your time . Ok for steaming movie.n.

We have all heard plenty about paedophiles by now, but this film does a very good job in bringing the emotions and pain that mother figures experience from losing a child. The main character Jaq has a heartbreaking moment of her own which got me bawling my eyes out, just thinking about the loss she went through at one stage in her life. Hayden Panettiere does a great job of the lead role and it was nice to see her as a mature woman after last seeing her in the tv series "Heroes". The location choice for the perpetrator's residence had me feeling quite creeped out by its bizarreness, and I'm always in awe at the amount of good film locations that exist in America for this type of genre. Good Friday night movie. Enjoy.

It reminded me about 8-year-old Tori Stafford's case, but this was in Ontario Canada. They did not have the license plate of the vehicle and would not issue an amber alert. The girl was raped and killed within a couple of hours of her abduction. People were literally in the Home Depot parking lot and saw the girl, as one of the abductors was purchasing a hammer to kill her after her boyfriend raped her. The girl's mother was a recovering drug addict on welfare, so the abducted girl was not treated as a priority. The worst part, the abduction was literally filmed by surveillance cameras right in front of her school. The girl and her mother knew the abductor. It was such a gruesome case. That being said, I don't think this movie reflects how the U. S. handles child abductions. Child abductions fall under the jurisdiction of the FBI. That house should have been covered with police, not one lone police officer. A man was killed in front of his child and house in the U. S., because of a prank call alleging he was holding a child hostage. The prank called was jailed. His niece committed suicide not too long after that, because she was traumatized from walking across his dead body. In that case, he was a racial minority and police (black and white, due to all races internalizing the white gaze) are racist and assume every racial minority man is armed and dangerous. Cons about the movie: The ending was rushed and incomplete. There was no resolve to the question of who was Olympia and what happened to her. Was she actually sick? Who was the bag of saline for or was that actually saline? Was he a traumatized father reliving how his daughter died? Was he a pedophile who abused his daughter or did he just create child *. The movie did not really have an end. It was a low budget film. Most of the movie is just one car following another car on a highway. The movie is unrealistic, because the cops would respond more quickly knowing that the first 24-hours of an abduction is critical, as most children, like Tori, are dead within two hours of being abducted.

Kerry Bellessa dares to redeem her 2012 film and does so with a more cautious, more meaningful approach and with two more relatable characters that transform this remake into a pleasant thriller that manages to have moments more in line with what was needed before. The 2012 film brought us love and hate among viewers who enjoyed or had a bad time with the original version, this time its director is accompanied again by her screenwriter Joshua Oram to give the necessary touches and changes to that first script and as a result we have a much more welcoming film whose great strength is finding two considerably more approachable characters in the skin of two correct interpretations such as those of Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams. The on-screen chemistry of both actors allows us to connect and have sympathy for both characters, even more so when they are given really interesting motivations that make everything feel much more like belonging in the decisions they both make. The same happens with their supporting actors who are more present and interact more in the plot, which also allows the film to be carried out in a more intense way. Of course, the film has its flaws in several decisions that are made, which make us feel that everything is done more correctly and without trying to shock anyone, a detail that also means that the villain of the film feels a little softer than in the original, and we must consider that the decisions of its final climax are somewhat lacking in energy, which takes away the impact of its outcome, although it has some new twists that make for a nice little mind game. It is well directed, with a cast that is up to par and a story that works and is effective. It could have dared to be much more consistent, of course, but playing it safe is not a bad thing either, because the film is a good pastime that manages to have significant moments with which you will enjoy this thriller and its suspense in an acceptable way and without major distractions. A clear message, an effective premise and a proposal that this new version fulfills goes up a notch from the original and that completes the redemption that its director sought, a mission accomplished without further gratification.

I got pulled into this aft watching the trailer on YouTube n the other reason being Hayden Panettiere. I only remember her from Scream 4 n she was pretty slim n illecebrous in that one. She has put on weight since it's been 14 years. Nevertheless I still like her. The two things i can't stand in a movie is rape n child at peril. This movie's subject is very tough, child abduction n I heaved a sigh of relief when the movie ended. The two lead actors were very believable n they gave good performances. Also the woman who played the mother is terrific. As audience we can feel her trauma. I read that this one is a remake of a 2012 found footage movie. Thank God, they skipped the found footage style. Can't stand shaky cam, flickering lights n found footage style like movies.

Directed and co-written by Kerry Bellessa. A runtime of one hour and thirty minutes. Available to rent or buy on Prime Video. With a PG-13 rating. "Jaq," played by Hayden Panettiere, is just leaving work. She's running a little behind, which caused her to miss her Uber. Just by chance, "Shane," played by Tyler James Williams, is dropping someone off. Not trying to get more behind, "Jaq" frantically gets into "Shane's" car, pleading with him to take her to her location. With plans himself, "Shane" decides to take her. While this is going on, "Monica," played by Katie McClellan, is hanging with her mom, "Gail," played by Claire Slemmer, and playing hide & seek with her daughter, "Charlotte," played by Ducky Cash(what an interesting name). While simply getting some family time in, "Charlotte" is abducted by "Aaron," played by Kurt Oberhaus. This prompts "Monica" to plead with 911 operator "Cici," played by Saidah Arrika Ekulona, and "Sgt. Phil Casey," played by Kevin Dunn, to put out an amber alert. While driving, "Shane" and "Jaq" spot a car with a similar description of the amber alert. This sends these two strangers on a wild goose chase through Louisville, Kentucky following the suspected car. "Amber Alert" was as thrilling as the trailer. Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams were the odd pairings you never thought you needed. At face value, you would look at these two sideways, but they meshed well. I loved Tyler's acting style. The certain faces and comments he gave Hayden's character were hilarious. It was subtle, but if you know, you know. I also thought it was cool that they filmed this in Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville is becoming a lowkey hotspot for filming. They get a tax credit, so more and more films are filmed there. My daughter even acted in a couple of minor roles shot there. This film was fun to watch. I was engaged the entire film. You know when your yelling at the TV, you're fully sucked into whatever is going on. The ending had a couple of eye-raising scenes. There were also a couple of minor details that didn't quite fit. But it didn't take away from the overall experience it gave you. I give this film four mor fires 🔥🔥🔥🔥. SB(sidebar) The real Amber alert was created due to a pair of parents losing their daughter Amber to a gruesome death after being abducted. After the creation of this popular alert that scares the crap out of you when it goes off. Has saved countless lives. #CosmoandtheMovieWithin #CosmoMovieBlog #CosmoLanier #AmberAlert.
