I wanted to see Airborne when it came out at the movies but I never did. I didn't see it until it came on HBO. I liked it. I liked the actors, stunts, plot, and everything. I wish that Bill Apablasa and Stephen McEvety or someone would write a sequel.

This movie works like this: you are at home, doing nothing, and you are so lazy that you want to see a movie that won't make you think very much. Then you watch it. The acting is quite convincing and the movie is pleasant, "light". In my opinion, you should see it, just for seeing!

The basic premise is "Can a fish out of water (the California surfer) fit in with the Cincinnati tough guy Hockey players." The Hockey players are dismayed by the surfers laid back and stay chilled attitude. They do everything they can to try to get him to fight with them. This is paralleled by his need to find something worth fighting for. I was surfing the dial one day and happened upon this gem. I found it very entertaining and engrossing. The plot was mostly High School formulaic, but it was executed charmingly. The romance was at a pleasing level and contributed to the tension in the plot. Overall, I found the film very well balanced and the actors very attractive. It also ends up being enjoyable by many different age groups. While High School is a couple of decades behind me, the writing and action was indeed good enough to keep my attention.

I caught the end of "Airborne" a few weeks ago, and then I was able to watch the whole thing the other night. I will admit that I really liked this film. It is a great, wholesome movie. Yes, the plot may be a bit thin with some slightly underdeveloped characters, but it's a fun kids movie. The lines are clearly drawn between the good guys and the bad guys (the preps). Throw in a little love story and that is all that is really necessary. Combined with music that moves the story along pretty well, and some exceptional rollerblading scenes, "Airborne" is worth the 91 minutes it takes to watch. Seth Green does a great job as the dopey cousin. Another great thing about "Airborne" is that it is not filled with foul language or any sexually explicit material. This movie is a lot of fun for everyone. I give it 8 out of 10.

I was watching this movie on TV one day, and about a hour into it I thought "Isn't the NSYNC concert on TV now, I'd rather watch that." But then, something happened, the third act came around and I was spellbound. The main plot showed a bunch of teens who like to play hockey and roller skate, but for the first 2 acts, this plot just coasts the movie along and makes it, suck. But in the third act, we see a bunch of teens in a race throughout Cinncinatti, and I was amazed. Not only the skating, but how it overshadowed the rest of the film. B-

I was watching this flick in a hotel room on HBO early in the morning and thought that it was some sort of parody at early 90s B comedies. Then I thought "there is no way that this is actually an early 90s comedy. They are beating me over the head with plaid and rollerblades and other 90s clichés." The I realized Seth Green and Jack Black were in it and I realized that it must in fact be a parody. WRONG! 1993 baby. This movie is so campy, but is so damn entertaining. It's like one of those songs that no one wants to admit they love, yet everyone loves it. Like "I Saw the Sign" or something. Check out this flick at the very least to see Green and Black early in their careers.

It hits every trope. It's the movie of an out of place kid that has to win over the people in the new city and in the process win the girl. We have seen this before. We saw it in Hocus Pocus, we saw it in Side Out, in North Shore, in Rad, in Thrashin, we saw it in a thousand other films that faithfully honor the trope. And a trope filled film bursting with the cliches of the genera isn't exactly a bad thing. After all, sometimes you just want mindless fun with the guarantee of a happy ending and little else. This film delivers on that... and references Nintendo Hockey, possibly the best sports game ever.
