An Engaging decent thriller..... This is not a psychological thriller. There is no lag in this movie. All the characters acted well. Midhun Manuel thomas direction was good.. Music department is awsome. The background music was very very good... Especially in the movie title card bgm... Mammookaaaaaa... U nailed it.. Mammooka done his character very well.... Jayaram is completely different in this movie..... I had never seen jayaram at this type of acting..... Completely different character. Cinematography was ok Finally jayramettan is back.... I will suggest to watch the movie in theatre.

The movies was really a disappointment for me as i really liked his previous movie Anjaam pathira , it was really engaging and nice to watch . But Ozler was poor , acting wise , script wise and everything was done poorly . I felt like kerala police is shown as useless during the entire film because the killer just come in daylight , kills and then he leaves easily . Even after the police is guarding the next suspected victim, the killer easily come and does his work . We can also see the postmortem doctor giving advise to the police as if he is more experienced than the police in investigation. And the funny part is that killer kills the kids of his enemies and ozler was rooting for the killer at last . And at last the killer was also helping ozler to find out about his long lost wife and daughter , is this ozler guy stupid or what . Even the serial killers and doctors have more knowledge than Ozler, pretty pathetic. Why should someone make a movie out of a below average cop , no doubt the movie was bad.

Abraham Ozler is a Malayalam suspense thriller movie directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film, which stars Jayaram as ACP Thrissur. The movie follows Thrissur as he investigates a series of strange murders in his city. Each murder has a special clue left behind by the killer. People really liked the actors in this movie. Jayaram does a great job showing how stressed and sad his character is, because of both the murders and something bad that happened in his own life. The other actors, like Arjun Ashokan and Anoop Menon, also play important roles in the story. Abraham Ozler might not be a totally brand new kind of movie, but it's still exciting and well-made. It mixes together medical mystery and a sad crime story, which keeps you guessing. Overall, it's a good movie to watch! And it seems like this movie is a big success and a comeback for Jayaram in Malayalam movies again.

Ozler is an engaging crime drama with its fair share of problems. It mostly sticks to the genre conventions and keeps you interested in the proceedings without much superfluous ambitions. The background score was very effective at times but it was also overused very much. Jayaram was not bad but it felt like someone else would've been better. But it was in the second half that the performances really started shining with all the young cast from the flashback and Mammooty's cameo stealing the whole thing for themselves. I'm glad that the flashback didn't use an easy way with a certain character which I honestly am tired and horrified too much by so many recent movies, which ultimately is not the fault of the movies but the dark reality of our society. But it kind of felt refreshing that such a shock value (so much of it has turned it into normal now, I guess) choice is not used again here even if the totality of it is still cliche. The use of the classic song "Poomaaname" and its visualization was so wonderful. It really felt perfectly integrated and now I want more and more recreations like this to happen. The ending that comes back to the beginning to set up the sequel felt nicely done and more than that suspense itself, the motivation of helping the protagonist to reach there is something I'd love to watch if the sequel happens. This may not be as technically well made as Anjaam Pathira but even Anjaam Pathira was a template serial killer story that is way more straightforward than this. And another movie that is much more predictable and not even as well made as this is still successfully playing in theatres, so I really don't understand the kind of mixed response this is getting.

The story of Ozler possesses all the elements to craft a compelling crime thriller. It diverges sufficiently from the typical serial killer narrative, warranting its place in the genre. However, Ozler falters in two crucial aspects - the script and direction. The script comes across as overly dramatic, resembling a first draft and extending far beyond necessity. Some scenes suffer from excessive character explanations, contributing to a sense of verbosity. Combined with the afformentioned confusing direction makes the movie feel long and tiring. The only saving grace is the presence of a star-powered antihero, preventing a more substantial decline in the movie's appeal. Personally, I believe there is more potential for exploration in the portrayal of the antihero. Despite attempting to portray the antagonist's actions as a form of revenge, the movie falls short in exploring the moral dilemma presented. The antagonist's actions, while seemingly heroic, involve the loss of multiple innocent lives. Addressing this moral complexity could have added a layer of depth to the narrative. Some other observations include: The extras are seen ready to react well before the actual situation unfolds. This premature readiness and the group reaction detracted from the natural flow of the scene. For instance, when one victim faints in the middle of the restaurant, the entire restaurant rushes towards the person without any hesitation. While this would be ideal, in such a public situation, it overlooks the bystander effect that would most likely come into play here. The same thing was noticed in the hospital as well. Overall, I exited the movie with the feeling that it was worth watching, but simultaneously, I couldn't shake the sense that it could have been significantly better.

It is nowhere as good as Anjaam Pathira. But the film is intriguing. Jayaram does his part really well. Jagadish really impresses in a villain role that he is seldom cast in. Maybe this film will get him more villain roles. The film did remind me of Ee Thanutha Velupaankalathu, where an old incident in a college fuels the serial killer. It is all very far fetched and improbable. But Midhun Manuel Thomas keeps the twists and thrills coming. The film's major drawback is that some of the supporting cast (like Jayram's two sidekicks) and bit players are absolutely atrocious. Midhun needed to pay more attention to this aspect of the movie. The casting director needs a good firing for casting terrible bit players.
